Has anyone read some of the "People of" series by the Gears?

I loved the first one, really liked the second and sort of lost interest the further I read. I still would like to read the rest, as it follows various Native American nations over time and space. I'm not sure how accurate they are >.> but they're quite enjoyable.

My problem was that after a while they got a bit repetitive.

I read the "In Me" Series by them - "It Dreams in Me", "It Wakes in Me" and "It Sleeps in Me".

I liked the first one well enough, but it really got a bit weird in the second and third ones, and the storyline was kind of convoluted. I mean surprise twists are good, but not when it leaves you totally confused.

Left me not interested enough to bother with any of the rest of them.
