OUR GUILD RULES
(don't you agree?)
(don't you agree?)
As things should be, the Inheritance Cycle Guild has a set of rules that all members must respect, crew or otherwise. They aren't that hard to follow and remember, so please read them carefully!
- 1. Please follow Gaia's Rules & Guidelines as well as the Terms of Service (ToS) at all times.
2. Keep swearing to a minimum; although you may be of legal drinking age, the entirety of Gaia Online isn't as old and almighty as you. We would like to try and preserve the younguns' innocence as long as possible.
3. Please try to avoid making duplicate threads or posts. If you're not sure if there's already a thread for what you've got in mind, don't hesitate to ask a crew member. We understand that accidents and temperamental internet happen, so our crew will happily delete the duplicates for you, if you don't realise or delete them yourself.
4. Please don't spam in threads! This means no advertising--unless approved by either isidar_mithram or Minasia--no bumping and no emoticon-only posts. Being as the latter two don't serve to further a debate or conversation, we would like you to avoid them.
5. Arguments are unwanted. However, people have different opinions, and it's the ICG's belief that everyone must respect others' opinions. If the argument gets too heated, vulgar and/or spiteful, a crew member can intervene and ask both parties to take it outside.
6. Please do not harass other members. This includes but is not limited to verbal abuse, persecution and psychological warfare.
7. Regarding artwork and written works: credit must be given to the original artist and/or writer if you are not the author of whatever it is you are presenting. Theft is wrong, rude and despicable.
9. If you see anyone in the forums breaking a rule or demonstrating inappropriate behavior, it is your duty as a member to report it to a crew member.
10. If you are a potential member and about to send a join request, add "A dragon just burnt my tapestry!" to your request to show that you have read, understand and can comply with these rules.
11. Going off topic, although not encouraged, isn't forbidden. Just don't post random stuff not connected to any of the current comversation. For example, don't say "I like peanuts." unless people are talking about things they like, nuts or edible things of any kind. If you are suddenly prompted to say "I like peanuts.", offer an explanation why you have said so.
12. There are subforums for a reason! Before you post in the main forum, look to see if your thread should go somewhere else.General Inheritance-related threads and theories go in the Main Forum. Quizzes are part of the Games Forum. Everything else is self-explanatory.
13. Read the subforum rules too as they will include rules specific to that subforum.
