I also remember when I got a Nitemare Scarf for 8k. xd I am SOOOO happy that I got a ton of them when they where that cheap! That was a good move!

I joined when it was still Go-Gaia! Those really were the golden days! Everything was so much simpler, and I feel like I had waaaay more fun with the site back then then I ever do now. =[

I'd heard of it, but I was only about ten or so back then, and I wasn't really interested. I got on the site when my cousin reintroduced it to me a few years later. :3

I remember it. There were less items, and the items that were made had a more simplistic style to them. So there were a lot of detailed, but not so terribly detailed as they are now- avatars.
The front page was different too, and the way you went trick or treating was just by the shops. Plus santa gave you a free gift on christmas morning, there wasn't the 'visit the forum' thing if I remember right.
Waaaah! I should've gotten ALOT of nightmare scarfs when I was that young in the game. I regret it now, but I didn't feel like selling everything I had for it.
I had only one nightmare scarf, one angelic pendant, still have my winged anklets, the headphones - both of them, the chain wallet and..yeah..
It's kind of neat to see the changes gaia has gone through though, but I do miss the more simple way of gaia, plus it encouraged a lot more creativity with avatars, I think.

I remember go-gaia. It was tough. Hard to get gold since I bumped and posted alot on forums. I decided ...maybe...avi art is also another means to get somewhere. Ohh I remember the pink links. I only got it once D=. The giftboxes were floating on pages. Even on towns in the early stages.
Back then, it was fun and tough. Now you can easily get gold. D= Makes me sad how I had to really save up to buy a angelic headband or a nitemare headband U_U

I missed "go-gaia" by a few months. When I joined it was just "gaia.com". It wasn't very long before it became "gaiaonline" though. Imagine how alarmed I was when I typed "gaia.com" in one day and it took me to some kind of weird travel site. XD
I liked some things better about it then. It was more on the fantasy and anime side of things, rather than the sort of snarky pop-culture thing it's become. I didn't mind that there were no games, I was/am sort of a rp nerd so I never really had problems making gold. I had more friends then too, but then I was also a teenager along with most everyone else. Now that I'm in the older minority, I have fewer people to hang with.
And oh yes was the economy (on gaia) more balanced then. And it was easier to figure out which forum your topic belonged in because there was only a handful of them. XP
