Background : Ryan Palor was born into a normal family, lived a normal life, and got through college just fine. It wasn't until '02 when his father passed away, that he would join the air force. His father was in the air force also, and died mysteriously with no real reason making perfect sense. This drove Palor to curiosity, to what could be so dangerous about satelite research.

He worked his way through the academy and requested a direct transfer over to where his father had been stationed. They denied him in '04, then finally a General stood upon his front steps. Bald, and slightly ever so charming, he had a long discussion with Ryan. Full disclosure had been given to him, along with full clearance. He appeared at Cheyenne Complex the next day within the SGC.

Soon after realizing Ryan's talents, Hammond assigned him to an SG relief team where he would spend the coming years assisting SG-1.
