It is not a Hentai. It just shows a lot of nudity. Hentai anime means that someones have sex. No one is in this anime.
You are right about the fact that it's not hentai and the nudity scenes are really many, but there is a rape scene ... witch doesn't count for it to be passed to hentai.
This series is one of the best, both as anime and manga. The story is well centered and told and the end is just beautiful! I really enjoyed watching the anime and reading the manga!
