(( Warning: Erm... normal J'her stuff? Nothing else though, not a very warning orientated meta. lol ))
The days were moving far too slowly, or perhaps they were going by quickly and she just didn't know what year it was anymore. How long has she been stuck down here? Unable to fulfill her urges...natural hungers and instincts? Shifting the pillows bowed before the weight of her breasts and limbs as she pushed herself up to roll over.
Both tentacles helped her up until she sat down and vaguely moved a hand down towards her lap. No...not even that would get her out of the rut she was currently in. Strangely she was finding that she missed seeing that stupid and dense technician that kept visiting her. At least he had been a good distraction, although a highly frustrating one as well. For as stupid as he was, he still not been foolish enough to get into her grasp.
Chains rattled as she moved, even with her increased healing she still had scars marking up her throat, wrists ankles and the bases of her tentacles. “Shh..shh..” she soothed as she went to push away a tentacle that had tried to nudge at her in places it had no business being. It was strange that she wasn't interested in in getting her daily high from the pleasure. Instead she looked dully to the cell door.
Surely she would go bat s**t crazy in here before she would ever see the outside world again. Lethargically she went to stand, clink and clank the chains rattled. Luckily they didn't activate if she moved like this. Only fast movements, straining or constant pressure caused the runes to react.
There were growls coming from the other cells. The new demoness had been little for conversation since she had arrived, not that J'her had any real desire for chitchat. The cell that had contained the old gluttony was still empty, they had placed the new one in a more water friendly environment since that species required it. How did she know this? She listened. The techs seemed to talk as if she wasn't there. Then there was the angel. He was interesting...if anything he was violent. She found that a turn on, and she taunted him when she was able...but now she was pretty sure he was ignoring her.
Having no windows was such a bore.
She shuffled until she came to the line etched into the ground. She knew crossing that meant a world of pain and suffering for her. So she sat down just before it, her two tentacles hovering near her arms nervously. Closing her eyes she listened.
He was in a foul mood... but then again when wasn't he in a foul mood? It was in is nature, a rather zealous one at that, to fight tooth and nail... to fight demons, to smite them, and now he was stuck in some cell near to some of them and he could do nothing to get at them. He was currently crashing into one of the walls, shouting threats to the one who had put him in here, that silver haired weakling that had used some sort of trick to catch him off guard. If it wasn't for that trick, if it wasn't for that foolish fallen angel he would have taken care of that creature.
The one fist that he had slammed against the wall before he gave a snarl of anger and whipped his hand to the side and for what felt like the millionth time since he'd been thrown in he was tossing out flashes of bright, hot fire that bounced off the walls of his cell again and again... but something seemed different today. Likely it was the fact that the metal of the cell could only take so many hits of holy fire before it started to finally give but this time instead of falling away uselessly it stuck... and there was a black mark left behind. The raging angel turned to look in the direction of where he'd left the mark before giving a snarl and set to attacking that one spot with all he had. It didn't do much on the inside of his cell but outside there was a bigger reaction, as the small hole made in his cell allowed for little sparks of flame to escape... and slowly those sparks floated around the area outside, settling here and there.
Nothing at first, just a little bit of smoke but as they always said where there was smoke there was fire... and soon enough the more flammable materials outside of his cell were catching spreading slowly through the hallway of the dungeon area...
Listening to the angel was amusing, for the most part his crashes and shouts of anger had become rhythmic almost like a wonderful song for the lust demoness. She had listened to him for this long, and only open her eyes when his shouts ceased. Strange. He had been consistent with his yelling and crashing up until now. Perhaps battered and torn he was finally exhausted. A pity. Then she smelt it. Smoke.
A large hiss and howl escaped the neighboring cell where the wrath demoness was contained. A fire. Now her large ears were attuned she could hear the crackling of the flames, the more heavier and distinct scent of smoke. Her limbs cowered at her side, they knew what was to come. A fire down here...only meant that she and the other demons were doomed. No one would come down here to risk their lives to save them. Body shivering she could sense a distinct difference in this kind of fire. It was holy...and it cause the wrath demoness to go berserk in her cell. Panic ...it wasn't something she was accustomed to feeling but it rose and she found herself crouching on all fours..her tentacles unwillingly wrapped around the chains until she went to yank at them.
Shrieks of pain joined the other demoness howls of rage and fear. Her skin was smoking from the magic that was charging through her body, she yanked at the chains over and over until she felt like she was going to throw up or pass out. Perhaps both. Like a cat resisting a harness she turned around and wiped her head back trying to get the neck one to break. She only received a hard jolt of magic to her system as her reward. After a time her tentacles were so weak from the shocks they could only lay on the ground weakly, she was going to die here. Smoking, she weakly sat on the ground, she could hear alarms going off now. A sprinkler was going off...but holy fire couldn't be doused so easily.
She was going to die here...fear crept into her mind. The woman didn't want to die...not here...not in this forsaken place.
It would seem that the Techs were a little slow in reacting, a fire was never something that had been planned for. It should have been a factor though, even a possibility given that the angel they had captured seemed to have a rather firm grasp on that skill. Ignorance was bliss... they had thought that tossing him into a cell, treating him like a demon to be used when needed and forgotten otherwise would work out well enough. Given what happened to Kerylia and Shar one would think that it wasn't the best of ideas to just leave them to their own devices.
There was a lot of shouting now as they tried to figure out what to do, using fire extinguishers where they could to get through the flames best they could... not a good sign when the foam meant to douse those flames caught fire though.
"What the hell...?" One of the many techs hissed before looking over at the others, "Best we just abandon this area... but we need to get these demons out."
Torekane could be taken out through another door, his tank was made rather large so there were a couple of observations areas as well as one section that people could go through from upstairs to feed him. With a call they were set to work up on that end getting him out, it didn't take much as it seemed that with the help of that perverted Doctor Bogg's brat and a bit of food he was lead along like any other large animal. It would appear as though the flames weren't a threat to the angel that created them, which meant the closest one to them that actually needed their help was the Greed Demoness.
There were a one or two who looked down toward J'her's cell, they knew she was there but at the same time rescuing her seemed... like a bit of a stretch, not to mention a chore. She was chained in, not to mention dangerous, if they went in without masks that meant putting themselves in harms way to save someone that would likely eat them. Recalling what happened to the late Doctor Hunter it seemed there wasn't a single person on the staff willing to go through the smokey, fire filled corridor to save her.
"Who will miss her? Besides... if we have learned anything recently its that the demons are replaceable." One of the men said before getting out a tranq gun, "We will put our efforts into saving the Greed Demoness and we will call the J'her a sacrifice made in the name of saving the others."
It was something that all readily agreed with. If they could replace Kerylia, Shar, Llwelyn, and Drake so easily it wasn't as though it would be hard to find another to fill J'her's place... of course as they said those words and went along about the business at hand one Tech, a brunette with slightly messy hair and glasses, stood there in shock. They were... they were just going to let her die? That was... what horrible! Surely she must be waiting for someone's aid? Surely she must be scared? He gave a growl before he grabbed the keys off the lead tech's belt and went racing forward into the smoke filled hallway, down toward were J'her was. They might want to leave her behind but he wouldn't, damn it! Didn't anyone here that demon or not she was still a woman?
To leave her to die was a rather harsh sentence, more so to say she was easily replaceable! Taavi wasn't one to think such things, then again he was also a bit of a fool who had a silly childish crush on the demoness... never a good thing but his fellow techs had been helpful in fanning the flames of his affection, letting him take over bringing her food, letting him go down to talk with her, and all the while they were making bets on how long it would take before J'her ate him. Really they needed better ways to spend their down time. Resting she could smell the fire encroaching towards her cell, it was difficult to not be worried or afraid. The latter being an emotion she hadn't experienced in what felt like years. Perhaps if she was lucky the flames would melt the chains off...then...no.. she shook her head. Not likely. Vampy wasn't one to let a simple thing like fire ruin his work.
Ear twitching she swore she heard something. Tilting her head up she looked and her ear twitched again, surely no one was insane enough to come down here...and what gloat? Given Vampy though ...she wouldn't of been too horrendously surprised.
A snarl ripped through her throat as she found renewed energy to try and escape. She wasn't going to just sit here if that b*****d was coming to laugh at her fate. Going over to her stack of pillows she began to shred them into tiny thin strips of cloth. Feathers were flying everywhere, the heat was beginning to get eat the outer edges of her cell the smaller downy feathers erupting into ash before long.
Taavi paused at the edge of the cell, lifted a hand up to his mouth as he set to coughing. Damn it the smoke was to thick here he thought to himself as he set to trying to find the right key despite the fact that the keyring was extensive and he couldn't seem to find which was which in the dark. It made it so he have to try each and every one until he got the one that fit.
There was a creak and a click as the lock came undo before he yanked the door open with what strength he was able to muster. He looked inside through squinted eyes as he tried to find J'her. When he spotted her gave a smile, "Hey..." He murmured, before walking forward seeming to forget for a moment all about all the rules that came along with dealing with her. Everything from wearing a mask to not getting to close to not letting her run free... all of those rules were tossed out the window.
"I'm going to... to get you out... just need a..." He lifted a hand to his mouth again, coughing heavily, feeling as though his lungs were on fire. He supposed if nothing else the upside to the smoke was he doubted he could smell her pheromones even if he wanted to. He swayed for a moment from side to side as though the smoke inhalation was starting to get to him but he ignored it as he moved over to J'her, "One of... is right key... just gotta..." He said, making little sense as he set to work once more trying to find which key fit with which lock. He was able to get one of the shackles on one of her wrists undone before he collapsed down to his knees.
He felt himself weakening and it was a touch frustrating, he wasn't doing very well as the knight in shining armor was he? He reached out to try to undo an ankle shackle next since he was down there anyway, he was able to get it done before slumping over onto his side, wheezing heavily, "Get... get gone, J'her..." He mumbled to her, eyes sinking half shut as he watched her, hoping she would be able to finish unlocking herself before the flames got here. Her ear perked as she heard coughing, turning she faced the door until he was inside. Eye's widening slightly as he came at her, keys in hand. She sat still, unmoving eyes darting as she watched him fumble with keys and finally unlock one of her shackles. The magic weakened, she watched silent as he collapsed onto his knees, fumbled, and in his weakened state fell onto his side.
This entire time she was wondering if he was nuts. Why was he here? Why was he trying to rescue her? Was he that stupid? The smoke was irritating her own lungs, she coughed slightly as she reached forward and took the keys from his hands.
She wouldn't like a gift horse in the mouth, so set about undoing the rest of her shackles. With each one removed she felt her strength returning, the magic was weakening and soon she was free. The loud clank of the metal hitting the floor and she stood and made ready to leave.
Stupid human. Stepping over him she looked to the door that symbolized freedom. She just had to get out of this forsaken place and she could finally go home. As she went to go through the door she felt something stop her. A tentacle had held fast onto the door frame not allowing her to go through and out. Turning she looked over her shoulder, long black hair trailing down her back she spotted the weak human's body laying there slowly succumbing to the smoke and heat.
I need to get out of here. She thought crossly, but the other tentacle had copied its brother and held fast to the door frame. J'her looked at him, he was weak...and pathetic...
But he still came for me...despite everything he came to rescue me. It dawned on her then, that whilst the rest of the human trash in this facility had joked and dissed as well not risk their own necks, this one not only had tried to form a relation with her, but had been consistent, stupid but consistent. Him coming here was a sign he truly did care, not because he was interested in sex or her body... though she was still pretty damn sure those played a factor.
Giving a guttural sound she turned storming back into her cell that was nearly engulfed in flames and using her arms hoisted up the male and then ducked back out.
What was she doing? Did she just want something to play with once out of here? Or... was it something else? Ducking outside of the burning room she found the halls equally on fire. Her simple garb was instantly ignited the thin material finding the heat too much. Her tentacles quickly when to put out the flames around her and she scrambled to recall the only way out of this hole.
Clutching the human to her chest she used her tentacles as extra arms helping her balance and moving things out of the way. All the while feeling something deep in her chest stirring. He couldn't die....not yet. Not here. Anger rose. She wouldn't let him die, not in rescuing her, she still needed to reward him!
Pushing past the other techs who were still trailing behind trying vaguely to put the fires out, she strangled a couple with a tentacle around the throat who were too slow and dimwitted to get out of her way.
Sprinting up the long stair case until suddenly she was blinded by the light. Skidding to a halt, naked and carrying a human the lust demoness took a wild look around and growled as she felt a familiar aura.
The silver haired man was calmly taking a hold of the situation, no panic read on his face though he looked a trifle surprised to see J'her standing there. He looked at her emotion unreadable and then to the male she clutched to his chest.
"That human will die, he had taken in a lot of smoke into his lungs." He commented dryly, only adding to the female's irritation, hackles raised as she paced in front of him. Like there was a showdown about to occur the rest of the techs stayed the heck away.
"Then save him." The woman hissed, earning a raised eyebrow as a response.
How embarrassing... it was the first thought to go through his mind as he laid there on the floor of the cell while the Lust Demoness worked on freeing herself from her shackles. He'd come down here trying to play knight in shining armor only to leave the 'damsel' to save herself. He curled up slightly, one arm moving over his face and he coughed against it as he seemed unable to find any air that wasn't saturated in smoke. He opened one eye but it stung to keep it open long and he found himself laying there alone. Had she gone already? Good, good... she was going to escape from the fires then he thought to himself. It was a relief... his mind was starting to drift and he was pretty certain when he started to float up in the air that he was dead.
'What a shame, I never even got a kiss.' He thought to himself a somewhat pathetic thing for his last thought on this planet to be. The next one even more so as he found himself wondering where he was headed, being a part of these Labs and the projects created within he somehow doubted that it was Heaven that he was heading toward. Somewhere more warm he'd guess as it seemed to get hotter and hotter as he floated along, heading apparently toward Hell now... though oddly he felt himself rising once more, away from the heat and then suddenly light was engulfing him. Heaven then? That made no sense? Surely after all he'd been a part of sacrificing himself to save a demoness wasn't going to get him a free pass into Heaven?
He could hear muffled talking but couldn't make out what was being said, sounded like... a man talking with a woman, were they debating over his Fate now? Deciding it he would live or die? He couldn't say he liked that one bit but such was life, right? He sighed and bit and waited to see if he would be staying here in the light or going back down into the heat and darkness that he'd just floated out of.
The two stared at each other for moments that felt like eons even though they had only been a few seconds. The demoness clutched the human to her ample chest as if hoping that just holding him close to her body would bring him back out of his smoke filled bodies state.
There was suddenly a break in eye contact, the silver haired man shouted for the techs to stop staring at get back to work putting out the fires. He then shouted for Aden, the head doctor and for someone to alert him that he would be receiving an emergency patient.
Suddenly they were moving, towards the medical ward, J'her following close behind not letting Vampy out of her sight.
"Do you know what you are doing?" He hissed to the woman who seemed to lost in thought looking over the tech in her arms to really notice the glare she was receiving.
Answering with only a hiss and barring of teeth it was obvious that her body was having conflicting thoughts on it as well. She was a demoness, what did it matter to her that this human died or lived? She should be trying to escape or even trying to take Vampy down himself.
All this time she hadn't released her pheromones, her tentacles had kept close to her body and only remained in a defensive position around her. Without her realizing it her horns were going paler and paler, her skin lightening with each step, the slits on her forehead...were beginning to seal shut.
Vampy knew what was happening..and he was not pleased about it. There was nothing he could do to stop it...and gritting his teeth they burst into the medical ward and he barked out Aden's name.
Aden jerked to the side, having just got back from helping with Torekane, fetching some needed supplies when Vampy caught up with him and he found himself suddenly joined in the medical ward by the Boss of the Labs as well as a Tech he'd seen on a couple of occasions and... his eyes went a bit wide, "Ahh, hey there..." What in the world? Wasn't that the demoness of Lust? Shouldn't she be in her cage...? Then again likely no since there was a raging fire down there... of course she wouldn't be left there.
Shaking his head he forced his attention to the situation at hand, starring down at the one in her arms before his eyes went wide, "Hells." He muttered, going over to the group despite the fact that getting so close to J'her wasn't something high on his list of things he wanted to do since he'd only heard the worst rumors about that one, "Ahh, your going to have to hand him over to me so I can help." He told her, going to the door, leaning out to call out some orders to a few techs on hand, sending them racing off to get the things that he was going to need. When one returned with a gurney he motioned to J'her, "Lay him down here." He told her, hoping that she would do so since he needed room to work, as did the techs that he'd called in to work under him.
"I will look her over next." He told the Boss, noticing that she looked... oddly pale. Perhaps she was ill? Still she was on her feet and the tech in her arms wasn't so he was the main concern at the moment.
The demoness clutched the human to her rather ample chest, hissing at Aden as she wasn't willing to let the man go. Vampy only looked annoyed as he watched the proceedings.
"J'her put him down NOW. The man will help him...if you keep clinging to him he will die." The boss of the facilities snapped, the female jerking her head around to bare her teeth at him before she reluctantly conceded with his order.
Once out of her hands however she hovered, like an over protective mother trying to make sure nothing came of her little one. Humans were more fragile than she expected....though she had always known they were a weak species.
Her skin continued to pale until it was a light lilac and her horns were white. And all this time she didn't notice...too preoccupied with worry for the human male who had attempted to save her life.
Everything became a buzz of activity, many people moving around Taavi, forcing the demoness and Vampy back as they went about doing all that they could do to save the man. It was a difficult thing, he'd breathed in so much smoke, but Aden held out hope reassuringly telling the unconscious man over and over that things were going to be alright. It was both of the benefit of Taavi himself as well as for the benefit of the demoness who was standing close by watching. Last thing that he wanted was to risk her going into a fit of anger if she thought that things weren't going as well as she had hoped.
Taavi was looked over for any burn wounds, his smoky clothing replaced with a hospital gown to make sure his chest wasn't at all restricted, and he was put on oxygen in hopes of reviving him. He gave a nod as he waved the others off, "Alright, we have done what we can." He told the Demoness before he fetched his desk chair, pulling it over for her, "Here, you can sit with him if you like." He told her, giving her a bit of a smile, hoping that she made this easy for everyone involved before his attention went to his Boss.
"Hey, Boss... if I could have a moment?" He asked, motioning for Vampy to join him in the hallway. Vampy looked to Aden sharply and then just nodded his head curtly as he stepped away towards the door so that their conversation wouldn't be over heard by the entire staff and the demoness there.
J'her eye'd the chair warily as it was brought to her, but she sat down in it promptly and scooted it closer to Taavi and seemed to hover near him in a nearly panicked state. Little aggression was left in her...as if it had fled with her like the color of her skin.
"What is it?" Vampy hissed in a low town his gaze flickering to J'her...annoyance crossing his features all over again.
Aden looked over his shoulder at the odd pair near the cot before his attention was on his currently rather prickly boss before asking, "The Demoness seems a bit... on the pale side, should I run some tests on her?" He knew that to be able to do that would mean sedating her and even then it was likely dangerous since she had those tentacles and he had heard that they were rather powerful limbs and he knew that meant she could easily break him if she wanted to... not something that he really thought would be any fun what so ever.
"If its nothing dangerous or catchy I can leave her be to sit with the Tech if you would prefer?" He would leave it up to Vampy and from there decide what it was that he wanted to do next.
Vampy rubbed his temples and then reached a hand out clasping Aden's shoulder and steered him out of the room to give them a bit more distance from those large ears of the demoness.
"There is plenty wrong with her now...but nothing you do will fix what she has done to herself." He glowered his eyes looking back to the door to the room before he sighed and released Aden's shoulder.
"She is no longer a demon...she is an Ascended. She has no place here. If the tech manages to pull through, he has to take responsibility for the damage he has done." He muttered.

It was hard to believe she was free, walking down the road her tentacles and arms carrying her new boy toy rather possessively pressed to her abundant chest. It came at a cost, she was no longer the demoness she was before, her skin had paled, her horns gone completely white...and her glorious forehead slits sealed. It didn't matter, for once she felt content, mildly paranoid but content. Her sexual drive was as high as usual, but now she only wanted it with one man, not anyone she came across.
It was almost embarrassing the way she fondled Taavi in public, cooing and kissing him unwilling to let him out of her sight and more than once had attempted sexual favors with him in rather inappropriate places. J'her was learning the simple and annoying rules of human kind. In their home she could do what she wanted, parade around naked, tackle him for surprise lovings whenever she felt like it. Outside was a entirely different set of rules.
Not that she didn't try to push the limits, heck any time she found herself alone with the tech she tried her best to get him to let her have her way with him.
At the moment she was smothering him in kisses, as if a woman possessed and starved for love, the latter was probably true. As a lust demoness she had seen her fair amount of sex, but love was something foreign to demons in her world.
The bench wasn't quite large enough for them both, being that J'her was so much bigger than Taavi and her tentacles took up a lot of air space, but even as she was engrossed with Taavi she felt old senses jolting to life. Somehow she managed to pull herself off of Taavi, the dazed tech wondering what happened as J'her was stubborn about getting her love when she wanted it.
Large ears attuned to a sound, a heart beat her smudged lipstick covered mouth turned into a snarl, a low growl emitting from her throat her tentacles on full alert and swayed aggressively. The ascended demon grabbed Taavi quickly and suddenly before bounding down the street and back to their safe haven, home. No one but her could have Taavi and she was going to make sure of that.
Running a million thoughts came to her mind, each fleeting and nonsensical. Panic built up under her breast, he couldn't have Taavi...she wouldn't let him. There was only one viable option...the Facility was missing a demon...she knew a certain someone would be more than pleased to have this information. The downside being that ...what if he wanted HER back? She had ascended...no longer of use to the man or his blasted facility. She had to risk it....for one to keep Taavi to herself...another..revenge.
*****
The facility had been a flurry, most of the humans, technicians and one annoying doctor had kept clear of the boss. He had been in a foul mood lately. With the fires, it had not only caused damage to the dungeons, the current demons and the one rather irksome angel had to be moved and thus more security put in place to make sure no more incidents would occur.
Mr. Vampy was sitting in his chair, his silver hair looked unusually messed, his tie crooked, to be honest he looked downright exhausted. Leaning back in his large chair a hand to his forehead as if he was suffering from a migraine.
You need more power... A voice observed and the man did not jolt or seem surprised to hear it. Visibly a wispy pinkish purple smoke appeared from the cap of his golden pen, it swirled around enveloping its master like a protective hound. You have not claimed any souls in a while....this will come as a heavy price...you understand this?
The creature was hard to make out, besides being the long serpentine shape it had no discernible head or limbs.
"Leave me be, I am the master here I know full well what will happen." The man snapped, the smokey essence of the creature only nodded its head before dissipating back into the pen where it had come from. The man was left alone again, but he was tired he couldn't keep this up. His powers were stretched to the limit and unless he claimed some souls to bolster his magic he would be....
There was a knock on the door causing the man to look up wearily as well warily, a tiny voice spoke out the name of J'her caught his attention but before he would ask to clarify the door burst open. The ascended demoness J'her burst into his room and then upon seeing him hesitated and looked about to back up and leave.
Vampy did have a knack of being intimidating. After all he had captured her in the very beginning and held her captive all these years. There was hatred in her for him he did not doubt, but her visit had come as a surprise.
With a wave of his hand he dismissed the cowering tech who closed the door and scurried away as fast as possible. Vampy adjusted his tie and smoothed his hair in a fluid gesture before leaning forward and looking at the woman now trapped in his office.
There was a stare down, a moment where man and woman seemed unable to do much other than look at each other, finally J'her calmed down looking on edge and aggressive still but not petrified any longer.
"What do I ow..."
"I know where you can find another demon of lust." J'her suddenly burst out interrupting Vampy before he could really start the conversation.
Now this was unexpected, not that he had expected her to betray one of her kind, but the fact she would come to tell him such precious information.
"And what do you want in return for this information?" The silver haired man inquired as he knew nothing was free. He wanted, no needed this information, searching for demons in Hell was difficult and annoying as well wasted his waning energy.
"I want my freedom...forever and always...I want you to let me live out my life in peace with Taavi." She placed it out plainly, it was a selfish request but the only thing she wanted.
"You do realize, you will outlive him? Whilst he grows old you will remain much the same and he will die. Leaving you alone. Do you truly wish this?"
She looked startled, as if it hadn't occurred to her that ...Taavi could die. Would die eventually due to illness or age. Shaken she shook her head, "No! He can't die! I won't let him!" Came her outburst, it was evident she loved him beyond simply being possessive of him. "Is there any.."
"Anything I could do? Yes, if this is what you want in exchange for your information but I'll require a bit more in payment to fulfill such a contract."
The woman looked hopeful then unsure, Vampy often asked steep prices and yet she desired it.
"There are several ways, but if you want him to stay himself there is only really one method. You will have to share your life force with him. This will greatly reduce your lifespan but it will extend his own. Perhaps enough to balance out your aging. He of course must agree to the procedure."
Hope flared across the woman's face, anything. She'd share her life force with Taavi. Only him.
"I am sure he will!"
Vampy only shook his head, "He needs to be here to make the contract legal. But for now I can let you know what else I require from you."
The room was quiet with the exception of Vampy detailing what he needed from her. She looked grim, though it wasn't from what he had requested more that she would be forced to do it for him. A b*****d who had kept her prisoner all these years and yet she had no choice.
Once she had agreed on the price she regaled Vampy about the demon she had sensed, his location and the type. It was the type she knew would be the selling point, after all the facility was in need of a lust demon.
Throughout the discussion it was apparent that J'her was not only familiar with the demon, but had known him more intimately than she would admit. Her anger shone through her words as she passionately described how he looked for real, his habits and personality.
"It sounds as if you know him well..." Vampy observed, the woman's face flushed as if appalled and embarrassed.
"I want you to catch him...make his life miserable." She demanded, as if she wanted to trade her life in the facilities for his, which was the sum of it.
"If that is what you wish.." Vampy nodded his head, a pleased smile spreading across his face. They would need bait...and he would need to speak with Almas.
Poor, unsuspecting Almas. The Fallen was currently humming to himself, making a pot of tea as well as some cookies for his Boss, a smile on his lips as he did so. He had no idea what was going on in the man's office, had no idea what he might be plotting, instead he was just happily going about the task at hand knowing that Vampy had been pleased with the fact that Almas's return as his secretary meant that he would get his tea and treats again, he didn't say as much but Almas could tell. Perhaps he'd spent enough time with him that he was becoming easier to read? Likely so and even with only one eye he was able to see what many others didn't... but then again he cared for Vampy in a manner that few other people could.
Once the tea pot gave a whistle he moved it onto a tray along with the plate of cookies, added some cups, a little pitcher of milk, and some sugar. Once it was all well balanced he headed out of the little break room, one mostly frequented by himself and occasionally Vampy, and headed back toward the man's office.
The Fallen had been feeling a lot better lately, something that he attributed to being back in his original position, back to serving the one that he loved. He knew that it was a foolish sort of love but he didn't so much mind, he was allowed to serve at Vampy's side and was even able to help him out from time to time. It felt good to be able to do so. The scarred up, once angel would never know the true reason behind his recovery since it wasn't something that would really occur to him. He'd spent far to much time on Earth, before he'd been taken in by Vampy he was a guardian angel. What was really improving not only his mood but also his health was something that the Labs and Vampy had recently acquired, an item that Almas stole a glance at from time to time due to his own curiosity.
Shifting the tray to one hand he lifted the other first knock before he stepped inside, "I brought tea and coo..." He trailed off as he spotted J'her, his good eye going a bit wide before he he gave her a smile, "Hello, J'her." He greeted her, was this before her accession he would have been terrified now though he would treat her as he would anyone that he ran across at the moment... that being in a rather friendly. He moved over to set the tray down on the desk, setting a cup in front of Vampy before he poured the tea for him. After the cup was filled he was moving the milk and sugar in front of his Boss when he suddenly seemed to realize that something was going on, seemed to notice the tension in the air.
"Ahh... so what's going on?" He found himself suddenly asking of the pair, looking back and forth between them with his good eye. Vampy looked up as the fallen entered his office, pleased as Almas came in, solving the issue of having to summon him to his office. Passive as ever his face did slightly shift to a less serious manner as he spotted the tea and cookies.
"Excellent timing Almas, have you become a mind reader?" He even joked earning him a stare from J'her who only seemed more on edge as the fallen entered the room. She was bristling almost immediately.
"What do you want him for?" She hissed a hand pointing to Almas accusingly. Looking as if she was a feral cat about to be cornered into a trap and re-caged. Her tentacles were writhing in energy, antsy and ready to strike out if Almas even dared get within reach.
"Now J'her, you know I need Almas for your contract to be fulfilled." The silver haired man spoke as he then gestured for her to sit down whilst he patiently waited for tea to be poured.
"Now Almas, I am sure you are wondering why our former Lust demoness is doing here?" He started as he leaned back in his chair a smug look on his face. Reaching for a cookie he took a small deliberate bite from it.
"She comes with an interesting proposition and information she is willing to trade on the location of a new lust demon. What do you have to say of that?"
Almas poured the right amount of tea into Vampy's cup, added some milk, a bit of sugar, then glanced over at J'her with his good eye for a moment. He found himself quite curious as Vampy mentioned him being needed for her contract to be fulfilled. Contract? He picked up a spoon to stir the tea before lifting it up to hold it out to his Boss, having prepared his tea as he knew the man liked it without even thinking about it, "Contract? What sort of contract if you don't mind me asking?"
He seemed to take the demoness in before he gave a slow nod, "I must say that I am curious about why she is visiting... though more so why she looks so different." He said, blind to the differences in her energy now and what it had been before. There were days he really did miss the ability to read auras and such, though he was sure that he would explain.
It hadn't occurred to him that Almas hadn't seen J'her's complete transformation. In fact this was the first time he'd seen her completely changed as well. Though it didn't phase him he only smiled and took his cup of tea appreciatively. Almas always made his tea perfectly, not too much milk and not too much sugar. If there was a reward for tea making he was sure Almas would receive it. If not he'd make sure he received it.
The woman just looked uncomfortable at the entire scenario. After all she came here to make a deal and it was as if the man before her was making fun of her.
"Do you want to trade or not?" she demanded looking about ready to back up and leave, or lash out...never sure with her.
"Now now, let me enlighten Almas," Vampy started as he put his cup down delicately, a small wave in the woman's direction as if that was enough to elaborate.
"What you see before you is a demoness who has ascended. Like how angel's fall, she is no longer truly a demon. Angels will shed their wings...halos demons lose their...ferocity." He chuckled and J'her looked rather insulted.
"But besides that, I am willing to trade for the information. Though even with it I have my conditions. "
"I understand.." The woman managed to utter in a growl staring at Almas as if pondering trying to consume him.
Almas looked at the demoness more closely, his good eye going wide before he gave a smile, "You ascended? Amazing... how does such a thing happen?" He found himself asking, wondering what caused a demoness that seemed to rather... enjoy being a what she was to change. What an interesting thing... he found himself glancing for a moment at Vampy, wondering if such a thing could happen to him... then recalled that they were in the middle of negotiations for a contract so the idea of him suddenly deciding to ascend was likely not going to happen.
He set to pouring himself some tea as well before he looked at J'her, "Information?" He asked of her, adding little milk and more then double the sugar that he'd added to Vampy's tea to his own. What sort of information might she have... and more importantly what was it that J'her wanted. He had no idea, not even a guess and he found himself asking, "How can I help?" He asked, sipping from his cup as he asked the question. He would be more then willing to help his Boss out where he could, wanting to be of use to him if he could.
"Well given what information J'her gives me we will need to set up a search party and if things work out you won't need to be bait." He chuckled though he looked as if he was only joking....if only.
J'her shifted now looking between the pair, she...was not use to seeing Vampy in a good mood...making jokes even. It put her even more on edge.
"Is it a deal or not?!"
"You haven't even heard what I want in exchange in addition for your request.."
"Look I don't care...your...freaking me out...and I just want to get back to Taavi." J'her was adamant, convinced as if Taavi may suddenly age before her eyes and pass on if she wasn't with him every passing moment.
"Excellent then...just sign here, looks like you won't have to be bait after all Almas how fortuitous."
Almas paused for a moment, looked down at his tea, then blinked, "Ahh, that would be nice." He said, he had already done that once before when they were going after the Greed Demoness, not to mention the run in with the red haired Liberality angel... so he didn't exactly want to battle it out with another... well... demon or angel really but if he was asked to do so by Vampy he really wouldn't be able to refuse. He gave a smile, "I would act the part if needed but... if not that would be nice as well."
He watched the demoness as she cried out that she didn't care about the price, giving a bit of a wince at that since he knew that Vampy could very well take advantage of the fact that she didn't even care what it was that Vampy wanted of him. He gave a shake of his head before he retrieved a cookie, dipping it into his tea, "So... what is it that we are baiting?" He asked before taking a bite of his cookie. He might be to relaxed looking but he'd spent so much time in the Labs, so much time follow Vampy around that nothing really seemed to surprise him these days... aside from maybe how good a mood his Boss seemed to be in. It was nice to see him so perky though, far better then how he looked after their run in with Coleth.
For a moment the Fallen was curious about who or what Taavi was but decided not to ask, J'her seemed really worried about the person and he felt it was best not to question it since this 'Taavi' belonged to her.
J'her just wanted to leave, be out of here and go back to Taavi. She snatched the outstretched pen being held out to her and signed away once completed the contract glowed and then vanished from view.
"Glad you asked, and very glad you didn't read what you were signing J'her. You see Almas, J'her will be using herself as bait for our new lust demon."
There was a strangled sound, like the woman was trying to reign in her unbridled fury.
"Y..you...you tricked me!" She spat looking about ready to pick up the chair behind her and throw it at him.
"No..you said you didn't care. So, in that light I can save my dear Almas from being used as bait. And you will be used instead. You seem to know the demon well..given your...description of him."
Her face was red, but she couldn't deny that she was stupid and acted rashly. She was stuck ...having to work with this horrible man to obtain.... she shuddered inwardly.
"What will you have me do..."
"I am glad you asked.." The smirk was undeniable..

Seriki was at a new party place that had popped up, a small, loud, dark club where the foolish but wonderful humans went about a long list of things that were bad for them that amused him greatly. It was nice to see that the humans would forever indulge in all of the deadly sins. They were flawed creatures which made him love them... since they were only to willing to indulge in those sins with him. The masked man in the strange clothing was sitting off to one corner of the place, his long, split at the end tail swishing from side to side, his colors a muted mossy green.
"Come on, come on... just come closer." He murmured in a sing song manner as he looked around at the dancing humans, wanting for one of them to come to him. This party was like any other. The popped up for a while until someone snitched to the authorities then it would crumble apart to appear somewhere else, like an immortal creature from the various mythos of the world which allowed him to happily enjoy his life.
J"her didn't like this plan, not one bit. She wore...something akin to what she wore in the facility, a sheer barely covering night shirt and impossible short and tight skirt. Lace up high heels she had no problems walking in and two tentacles she was trying to convince to act normal.
After all she was suppose to act friendly, not hostile. Before the change she would of found this club..to be the perfect place to find prey, hence why the demon she was hunting probably choose it.
Vampy had stated with his muted aura that he would be outside waiting for her to bring her victim out to be caught. Almas was along of course in case of anything going wrong. Lure him out...right.
She entered the club, her pale purple skin seemed to reflect the flashing multicolored lights in a dazzling array, her tentacles kept close to her body, though they trembled at the intensity of the beat, the smells and the pheromones.
Adrenaline ran high as well sexual energy, people were drunk..getting a victim here would be easy. She had to play it cool, after all if she betrayed that she had ascended...things could get complicated.
So she thrust out her chest, being overly friendly with any man or woman who got within tentacle reach. After lip locking with two females she was slowly and deliberately making her way towards where she could make out the man's scent. She pretended to not notice, too busy making out like a sex starved lunatic with a current punk chick who was getting very friendly.
Seriki seemed to notice her straight away and he had to say that he was pleased, to think that he might end up at the same party as his darling little violet he though to himself as he pushed to his feet, hands resting on the table, tail lashing more quickly like a predator that was laying in wait for prey to get close enough to pounce. This was better then anything that he could have expected. A human or two maybe, but another of his kind? How glorious... not to mention the fact that the two of them were well acquainted with one another.
After a moment of watching her before he pushed away from the place he'd been sitting to move toward her, the impossibly dangerous looking shoes he wore clicking on the ground as he walked. She always was a pretty one, wasn't she? Beautiful, dangerous, and someone that a man enjoyed an encounter with since it meant a lot to be able to walk away from her in one piece given how dangerous she could be, "Its been a while, lovely one." He said in a manner that was all but a purr as his tail snapped forward so that he could catch her between the ends of it, his twin tails wrapping around her middle, giving her a slight squeeze, "What brings you to my hunting grounds, little violet?"
There was a gasp the brief recollection of his habits and her tentacles reacted accordingly. As the tail was wrapped around her waist her tentacles went to wrap around his chest and shoulders in a very tight embrace. Her breasts were pressed into his chest, and her own gold colored eyes stared into his.
He was dangerous, so was she, the sexual tension tripled without her meaning to, even without her pheromones...she felt herself getting turned on.
"Well...now it certainly has been a long time my masked stranger," Her clawed fingers traced circles up his chest leaving little pinpricks of blood as she was digging a bit too hard as her fingers walked.
If she could fall again...she was certain it would be with this demon and that was an alarming thought.
"Though I rotate my hunting grounds...I am surprised I haven't seen you before now.." Seriki couldn't help but to grin as those tentacles of hers clung to him in such a manner, something that made him give a little smile, "Far to long." He agreed, glad to have her back in his grasp again. He seemed to have forgotten where they were, what he was doing a short time ago, nothing mattered but the fact that he was now with someone that would be far more interesting to spend some time with.
"Yes, I am surprised as well... but I go where the parties go so that could be it. I am rarely in one place for to long." He said, leaning in closer to her to get a whiff of that nice sound that always clung to the demoness... when he seemed to notice that it wasn't there. His brightly colored eyes that seemed to have a little star shape in them flickered upwards to meet her gaze a moment, up, then back down again... and his tails seemed to wrap around her a few more times, their grip tightening, "So, my pretty violet... tell me... when did you allow for such a thing?"
The demon lifted a hand up to his mask, drawing a his mask down to reveal his painted lips as he drew in a breath... then let out a pink mist from his mouth that wrapped around her, a cloud that would cause hallucinations. It was a power reserved for quick escapes or easy captures... and he wasn't sure which one this situation would entail...
She had given him her best lusting look to distract him, but when he went to smell her..she knew it was over.
It was lucky for her she knew of his tricks, as soon as those painted lips appeared she quickly inhaled the musky air around her and held it. She had wanted to say something spitting back but time was no longer a leisure she had.
Even if she had fallen her tentacles were still strong enough to crush a person in their grasp. She just...needed to keep her breath in her lungs until he tried to do something stupid. But it was hot in the club and people jostled around them a bunch an elbow here and she had to breath out of gasping.
Hallucinations..his damn hallucinations.
"Damnation!" she hissed at him claws digging into his skin to prevent escape even as things began to get hazy.
Seriki gave a chuckle as he held her breath a moment before he breathed the haze at her. He watched the manner in which she tried to hold her breath to keep from reacting... then suddenly gasping out and then back in... and he chuckled, "There we are... no reason for you to be holding your breath, its as though you don't trust me or something my little violet." He said, grinning as he replaced his mask into place.
He moved to try to escape when he realized that she, nor her tentacles, were going to be letting go anytime soon... as such he used that powerful tail of his to lift her off the ground and started toward the door with her. If she wanted to cling... oh well, he would just be sure to bring her home with him. It would give him some fun company for the night... a bonus to a clinging woman. He supposed he could also figure out the reasoning behind her strange changes... a shame if you asked him, she always had the best scent in Hell. Perhaps he would be able to lure her to falling back to his level again he thought to himself, heading out of the club. It amused him that there he was drugging and kidnapping a woman and not a single human even seemed to blink... not that he minded, it meant that they weren't going to be getting in his way.
A moment later they were heading out into the fresh, cool air that came with the time of night, and he looked at the one he was holding in his tail, "Alright, pretty violet, lets go back to my place for a while and see if we can't undo what has been done to you." He said with a grin.
The only thing she could get her mind to compute was to not let go. If she let go that meant....her mind was fuzzy why didn't she want to let go again? Soon they were outside, being held by his tail her tentacles had released their hold on his chest and seemed to be trying to reach his throat. As if they knew the consequences of remaining with Seriki, whilst J'her was still on the loopy side.
Vampy could tell things were not going well..unless for some reason she was trying to bail on their contract, which would of been a foolish thing to attempt all his contracts were binding and final. Or luring him outside. Of course he had gone out the other door, not the one he and Almas were waiting.
With a muffled and mild curse he gestured for Almas to come with, they would have to move quickly and though he was excellent at masking his aura, using his magic would betray his location. Or..would it?
Hell hounds. Their aura was different than his own and he could summon it far enough away to confuse this demon about his location. Ahead of them? Yes... that would do. He snapped his fingers, in the split second it took to summon the beast his burst of aura was muted once more and he moved quickly.
The ground rumbled, as out of it clawed its way a two headed beast, molten and pitch black the drool coming out of its two large powerful jaws were acidic the ground being eaten away at it.
Its instructions had been simple and amazingly clear, hunt, stalk do not kill. A pity. It lumbered forward seeking out the aura that was described to it.
Seriki, having no idea what was going on, was all but whistling as he headed out of the place with his new prize... happy until he felt as though he were being watched and followed. He paused to glance over his shoulder, shrugged, then continued on forward again. Surely nothing was behind him he thought to himself, not bothering to worry since it wasn't as though there was anything to worry about. Maybe just some humans that saw him and J'her and was curious as to where they were going? Passed that he couldn't think of anything to worry about.
As he walked along happily Almas was looking more then a little worried as Vampy called for his hounds, setting them to work. That couldn't be a good sign... so long as there wasn't any fighting he would be happy though. A nice, pleasant outing with Vampy would be nice. Even the cold weather and what they were up to wouldn't mess that up.
Vampy was following briskly along, keeping their aura's muted until he felt like they were close enough to throw a ward. Currently he was leaving small runes behind, forming a ward spell that was yet to activate. This way if the demon tried to back peddle he'd be stuck senseless. He almost wished he would try.
Life would be so much easier if the prey was just stupid.
The hound had found its quarry fairly quickly, being sent silent messages to start to herd and corral the demon(s) into a corner. It growled to announce its presence. Deep and menacing, slowly coming out from the shadows though not being aggressive, merely warning.
His boss had told it not to hurt, but one was being held hostage...the other walking around as if nothing could possibly be wrong. There were times the intelligent creature wished it could talk...alas it was not bred for talking purposes... The demon's body twitched when he heard a growl, turning to look over his shoulder, then he gave a bit of a chuckle, "Hell hound, huh?" He wondered if it belonged to J'her, did it want its Mistress back? He gave a bit of a sigh as he turned around to face it, "Get lost, Mutt. She wants to come play with me." Not exactly but he couldn't care less about what the dog wanted in comparison to what he wanted at the moment.
He watched the manner in which it approached before he moved forward toward it, lifting hand to the mask as he drew in a deep breath... then blew it out toward the hound. Best that he mess with its senses, just in case it were one in of a pack... he didn't want it to tell its pack mates where it was after all...
Vampy was watching carefully, studying, his eyes never missed anything as he saw that hand rise and lift the mask the demon wore. He breathed something out ...and guessing by how the hound was shaking its head the gas was either poisonous, a hallucination...or just perhaps it was to help aid in escape. Either way he didn't want to risk breathing it in.
The beast was shaking its head in annoyance the smoke was annoying, a snarl escaping its throat as it snapped backing up a couple steps and then forward a few.
Vampy figured the dog was a bit lost upon the man now, perhaps it would be best to intervene at this point. "Stay back, no sense showing all our cards at this point..." He murmured as he went to move forward.
Almas found himself wondered if he were left behind because he wasn't exactly the most useful and he couldn't say he minded. After having peeked at what it was that they were hunting for he couldn't say that he wanted to go out there to fight with that one... especially after seeing what it had done to the hound with that pink breath it breathed out. At least it didn't seem as though it had the same sort of power as J'her? That was a bonus or else they might really be in trouble he thought to himself, ducking back farther into the shadows to watch, ready to come forth if he were needed.
Seriki watched the manner in which the dog reacted, finding it a touch amusing which was likely a bad idea, standing there to watch instead of leaving instead... watching as the creature walked around at random. Silly thing.
The creature jerked his head up, his colors flickering for a moment, and then his eyes narrowed as he saw a silver haired human coming his way... then he relaxed, giving a smile, "Can I help you?" He asked, as though he wasn't carrying someone off in his twin ended tail, instead looking quite oblivious to the fact that he was in any sort of danger with the human. Maybe he wanted to come play to?
Vampy was...scarily convincing as a human. With his illusion over is body his golden eyes seemed dull his hair simple a show of unfortunate genetics or age. Though his business suit betrayed his status for it was immaculate and looked expensive.
He looked over to the beast who seemed confused and pissed that the smoke was irritating it so. Calmly he looked back to the demon as if to bounce the question back to him.
"Help? I suppose, " He made a vague gesture towards the woman in Seriki's grasp. "I am afraid I need the woman back." He announced his purpose, though it was only half of the reason. Seriki's tail twitched, seeming to tighten around J'her for a moment before he gave a chuckle, "I think not, she came into the club to find me, you see. So obviously you weren't taking good enough care of your woman, human." Likely it was the fact that the human looked like an older one given the hair color and the somewhat ancient look in his eyes. He turned and started to head on his way once more, "I will send her back to you later or something."
Maybe. He wasn't really sure if he were going to give her back or not, he rather liked the time he'd spent with the demoness back the last time they had spent time together. He was sure that the biggest part of it was that the guy showed up asking for her back... it made him want to keep her all that much more. He might not be a Greed type but it didn't mean that he was the sort to share despite that. Besides he was sure that he'd had her first which meant that he had dibs on his little violet.
He had expected as much from the demon as they tended to be possessive of what they considered theirs. He was no different. For that purpose he had kept Almas out of danger, at least if things got out of hand he had someone who'd drag his body back.
The fallen had many uses and he enjoyed that. His eyes flickered to the hound who seemed to be completely useless at the moment. He made a note not to get any closer yet.
"I am terribly sorry, but I can't let you do that. You see I have a contract with her...would be bad of me to let you break it for her." He reached into his breast pocket taking out what appeared to be a harmless gold ink pen.
"Then again I am hoping that you will join me as well. It will make things so much easier." The demon paused a moment when he heard the words said to him. Wait a second... a contract? What in the world was he talking about? Slowly the somewhat reptilian man gave him a long look, starring at then crossed his arms over his chest. What in the world was he going on about now? Hoping to join him?
"I can't say I am adverse to joining you, you aren't to bad to look at." He said after a moment, he looked old but he didn't look to bad, did he? He tightened his tail around J'her a bit, "But I wonder what it is you would want with her, she's kind of... broken now after all. Not as much fun as she used to be either, I mean she doesn't even smell so nice... is it just the contract that you mentioned that makes her an interest to you?" A smile that slipped across was unmistakably hungry, Vampy's eyes flashed slightly as he turned his head to adjust his posture. His hand still holding his pen lightly though what paper was he going to write on exactly?
"I have no interest in her actually, I just have a contract with her. She sold you out to me, from what I gathered she once had relations with you...and seemed intent on getting revenge." He shifted his position he had to keep his aura muted, almost nill. If he wanted the demon to fall prey and lower his guard.
J'her seemed to be babbling to herself, the hallucination was still having an effect on her and her tentacles were rubbing against her breasts and Seriki's tail in earnest.
"Now if you could release the woman? We can do this civilly, or the hard way your choice." He gave a long look at J'her, seeming to run over the information given to him. She had sold him out to this man as part of some contract? ... Made sense he supposed, demons were creatures that were cut throat and self serving, when they changed their spots they became... well what she was now he thought to himself before rolling his eyes, "So she tried to sell me out, huh? Revenge being the motive... sheesh, she's still mad about that? Silly little violet." As though the silver haired man would know what 'that' was.
The demon tilted his head from one side, to the other, and then back again. He shrugged then suddenly his was tail was moving as he uncurled it so that he could plop the hallucinating woman down in front of the silver haired man, "So tell me, what is it you want me with? You mentioned joining you?" He sure hoped giving the little violet back would gain him something good, whatever was going on he hoped that it would be interesting at least... after all there were days that even the funnest of parties because dull. J'her was plopped onto the ground before him and though she was still babbling Vampy made no move or attempt to help her. She had been careless and his job only concerned she wasn't hurt or kidnapped. He gave her a glance to make sure that she didn't try anything stupid and snapped his fingers to dismiss the hound. It would betray that he wasn't simply human, then again Zyane could of done something similar...just not with the same sort of ease.
"Yes, you see I run a facility, I need demons and angels in my facility and this particular demoness...ruined herself by ascending. Now I am short a demon of lust and it worked out that you happened to be in the area," Vampy began as he stared at Seriki a part of him hoping he'd do something stupid.
He ran a Facility... that needed demons AND angels...? He seemed to consider that for a moment, arms crossing over his chest, head cocked to one side, his long tail lashing from side to side. He needed a new demon of Lust, huh? His tail paused in its swishing, "And what's the point behind it? I can't say I want to go to some strange place where I need to fight for my food daily." He knew of places, mostly in Hell, where the demons would do nothing but fight all day. He couldn't say pit fights or Coliseums were at all his thing. He was a lover, not a fighter... though if the need arose he could protect himself well enough with his bag of tricks.
Once more Seriki's tail set to swishing from side to side, "Since you work with demons surely you know that we don't do things that don't work out in the end for us. If I were humanitarian in nature I wouldn't be demon after all."
Vampy only chuckled knowing only too well what Seriki was talking about he only nodded his head though watching as the hound stalked off to find its way back to what it could call home.
"You don't have to fight for food we provide it, you have a place to stay and whatever you need is brought to you ...within reason of course. Our more dangerous inhabitants are kept locked away in cells, but seeing you are more...civil in nature I am sure we can arrange something. I of course cannot permit you to molest any person you come across, what kind of business man would I be if i allowed such a thing?" He asked the demon before he took a half step to the side to adjust his weight and position.
"I only know too well how demons act, and my facility uses the DNA of both angels and demons to create a new species. A hybrid species of spawn containing the genetics of both demonic and celestial backgrounds. Its been an interesting experiment thus far, some of the spawn are fairly well balanced whilst others are emotionally torn and fight with their natures. Quite interesting." Seriki seemed to think about it for a long moment, the twin ends of his tails twitching from one side to the other, deep in thought, then he let out a slow breath, "And... if I had a friend, would he be of use to this place as well? He allowed to go there, have this provided food?" He asked in a slow, thoughtful manner. It wasn't often that he thought of anyone but himself but he seemed to be cursed with often finding himself thinking of one other creature in the world... not the best thing when it came to being a big, bad demon but... well they all had their weaknesses.
He gave a bit of a smile, "Toss in the room and board along with the nice arrangements your talking about for him as well and I think we can make ourselves a deal... though if possible I'd like him to stay with me, nothing against your little... Facility but I would make sure that he stays safe on my own." As though he thought a bunch of humans would be able to take care of the one he was thinking about, dealing with him was like dealing with something made of glass... horribly shy glass that did its best to hide.
It wouldn't seem as though he cared to much about why he was going there. Hybrids, half breeds, angel demon... things. It would be odd but, "I might liked to see what one of those looks like... can't say its to terribly often that our kind and the birds get along well enough to make a brat without one falling or ascending." He commented in an offhanded manner.
Vampy's expression went from obvious calm to thoughtful, another? They only needed the lust demon. It would be a waste of resources to take in another even as handy as it would having spares and extras. His powers though only could stretch so thin.
"We don't take in strays, I need you..not your 'friend'. We are in need of another lust, and though we offer protection we cannot be housing every demon seeking shelter and a free meal. " He sounded annoyed though torn, he liked having deals. And...being offered a free demon.
"Besides who knows what havoc it may reap, You may be civil your friend may not. You can understand why I cannot simply and blindly allow it." He stated rather firmly. "We need only the seven deadly sins...perhaps if something happens to one of our other demons...we can see. Depends no the type of demon your friend is." Seriki's tail set to lashing once more when he was told that the man didn't take in strays. He gave a grumbling sound then looked away... then back again, lifting an eyebrow, then after a moment he gave a chuckle, "I can't right say I have a single demonic friend that I would want to share my room with, its the other side I'm talking about... but I suppose the same likely applies there as well? You don't want extra virtues if you already collected the whole set?" He was more then willing to find the one that shared the virtue his friend did and kill the guy... but somehow he was sure that it would make him fall out of the good graces of this guy and then he would no longer think of Seriki as 'civil'. He wondered what the other demons were life if Vampy saw him as civil... maybe he'd find out?
Lifting a gloved hand up he scratched at his neck and seemed to be considering it all over again. He couldn't say that he much cared one way or the other about going to the place but he couldn't say that he liked the idea of leaving his friend completely alone... well not completely, there were other birds he could roost with, but they didn't seem to understand all of the downsides that came along with dealing with that one. Celestials were not nearly as perfect as they would like to think.
Vampy was getting irritated there was a deep part of him that just wanted to lash out at the demon and force him to come along. Though the demon's words caught his interest. This one had a friend from the other side?
"What if I were to consider it? You say your friend isn't a demon...what exactly is he or she? If they are celestial we currently have our quota...but if something happens to one of them if they match the desired traits...we can bring him or her in. My patience is waning...so please be to the point." He muttered though his face still was the mask of calm his tone was on edge.
He wanted to drag this demon back ...now. His pen was being rotated in his hand in irritation and nervous energy.
Seriki's tail paused for a moment when the man mentioned that he would consider it, then set to swishing again, "He is a Celestial." He said, giving a little sighing sound when the man said that he could be brought in only if the one that he matched with had something horrible befall them. Not that he cared what happened to some nameless, faceless bird... he didn't care for any of them at all, wouldn't care for the one he considered his friend if he weren't special.
"Should I care that your patience are wearing thin? You said earlier you needed me because my little violet is no longer useful. One would your patience could be stretched a little further if your trying to get someone to do something for you." He said, giving a roll of his eyes. Humans were impatient creatures, always thinking so highly of themselves and their time... likely because they lasted only for the blink of an eye in comparison to a demon or an angel, "As for the point its simple, if you know so much about angels you know there are a group of them that when left alone, or even when they aren't alone, seem to just... fade away. That is my point, that I don't want to leave him alone to fade. Hes a worthless damn creature that can't even look someone in the eye let alone ask for anything! How the Hell that group of angels has survived so long is beyond me."
More likely then not it was because idiots like Seriki came along to tend to them like humans tended to their pets...
Perhaps something that Seriki said struck a nerve, he tensed his hand on his pen seeming to be gripping it a bit too hard as if strangling the urge to shoot the lust demon down.
"My patience stretched thin is a dangerous place to tread," He warned as he rolled a shoulder as if preparing for a fight or at least expecting one. "As for you pet bird...perhaps we can do something to accommodate you. But he will be your responsibility. I do not offer protection to the useless." He growled, what did this demon thing this was some sort of rescue operation? A shelter for the weak and hungry? It was hard to pass up an angel...especially since they were more o the difficult side to obtain. Perhaps if they were lucky it could be a rarer species...
"Hes has been since we were born." He said with a laugh, doubting that the silver haired man would really understand what he meant until he saw the celestial, for now perhaps it was best that he relent. The guy said that he would accommodate him so long as he protected his pet bird on his own... which was what he wanted to do anyway. And hey, if they were lucky the other angel would have something befall it so that his own bird could move up in the world.
He gave a smile before his mask, tail swishing for a moment before the two ends wrapped around each other and he moved closer to the silver haired man, "I suppose we should be off to this Facility of yours then?" He asked, ready to be on his way now that negotiations seemed to have gone the way that he wanted them to, even if the silver haired one was in a grouchy sort of mood now... not that he particularly cared one way or the other what one human thought, "What do you plan to do with that one?" He asked, motioning to J'her. She should come out of it soon enough and with little more then a headache to worry about... well that and the fact that she was sitting out in the middle of an alley in the middle of the night.
Ah well, she likely found herself in worse situations before. Vampy looked to the woman who was mentioned and he looked away from her, "She is no longer my responsibility. As long as she is safe our contract will move forward." He explained as he made a gesture for Almas to reveal himself.
"For now demon, a few simple rules to follow in my facility. The most important being you do not put advances on the celestials, other demons or the humans who work there. If you do so I will be forced to confine you much like I did for this poor excuse of a once demoness." He stated pointing to J'her.
"Second you are not to leave the facility. I will keep tabs on you while you are there...if I sense that you leave the grounds, consider the contract null and void. If you re-enter my territory I will kill you." Of course being that he had been pretending to be a human it would be hard to convince a demon like Seriki that he had anything to worry about.
His golden eyes glowed slightly the grin lengthening on his face, "Don't irritate me. Perhaps that is the most important rule of all."
"No advances on the angels, demons, or the humans... what does that leave me to play with?" He found himself asking, as though the human might have lost his marbles. Surely he knew what Seriki was? Bah... what a pain... perhaps he could capture someone that didn't work there to play with he thought to himself.
"Alright, no leaving the ground." He didn't mind terribly about that rule, likely it would be more fun to stay on the grounds then to try to leave if it meant the guy wanting to kill him... as though he could he found himself thinking a moment before he saw the glow to the man's eyes making him wonder what it was that he was looking at when suddenly a blond made his appearance, walking over to them from where he'd been hiding within the shadows. He was a bit of a roughed up thing, wasn't he? Scarred up and blind, "Let me guess, that is what happens to those that don't obey your orders?" He asked of the silver haired human.
At those words Almas's cheeks colored a bit and while he was about to tell the guy that Vampy hadn't done this he decided against it, if Vampy were threatening him with such things maybe he was supposed to play along? He blinked once then looked over at Vampy, "Are we ready to go home then?"
Vampy shifted his demeanor altering as Almas came into view, it was...easy for your body to betray your thoughts and emotions. Without one even realizing it.
"No...Almas had those things done to him by others of his kind for sins that he would not repent for," He replied simply, he failed to mention he was the cause of those sins...
"Now a fallen he is under my care, touch him...and you will die a very slow and painful death." He warned his eyes glaring at the man with the full intent to kill if even such a thought crossed his mind.
He turned to Almas and offered him a small smile, "Yes very soon we shall depart. We will teleport there as it will be faster." He murmured before he faced Seriki again.
"As long as we have an understanding...things will move along swimmingly." He chuckled a purplish smoke moving to escape from the nib of his pen. His aura was not unleashed but enough was allowed to escape that betrayed the tip of his strength.
Drawing quick broad strokes before him it was as if the pen was ripping into the very air and causing it to glow and burn. The words would be easily recognized as demonic script to another of his kind. A tare sounded and a portal seemed to open before their eyes.
"I will have to insist you go first my new demon."
For a moment the blond sounded interesting to him, a Fallen who had ended up in such a condition because he wouldn't repent for his sins... interesting, to think such a thing existed he thought to himself before he looked over at Vampy, back to Almas, and then seemed to clicked together in his mind and he couldn't help but to smile, "I see, I see." He murmured, yes... he knew better then to get between a man and what he saw as his he thought to himself. Amusing really, the way that he was giving him such a death glare, he might as well bare his teeth and growl.
The demon watched as the silver haired man revealed himself as far more then just some old man as he used that pen of his he'd been playing with for some time to create a portal that would be taking them... well... wherever his facility was located. He starred into it for a moment before giving a shrug, "Well... here we go then." He said a moment before stepping through.
Once inside Almas couldn't help but to give a sighing sound of relief, "That went well." He said, giving a smile. Not even a drop of blood was spilled, everyone on both side seemed happy enough, he had to chalk this one up to being a very good excursion indeed he thought to himself before he looked to J'her, "Is she staying here or coming with us?" He asked of his Boss in a curious manner.
To be honest Vampy didn't give two cares for the ascended demoness but Almas seemed to be worried about her, he sighed and then drew a few runes around her.
"She will be safe until the haze wears off of her. Come on now, let us go home. I need some tea." He replied rubbing his head, he had been looking very worn out lately.
Putting a hand on Almas's shoulder he turned him gently and pushed him into the portal, he made sure it would close behind them as he didn't need any unneeded headaches stumbling in after them.
