Mustang arrives at the cell doors marked 34 and 35 with the 34 crossed out that Lt. Hawkeye was guarding. With a nod from him she opens the cell door allowing him in. Mustang enters the cell and examines the chimera to find that its not Edward. The chimera is female and does not hold any of Ed's features. As he continues his examination Mustang discovers a collar with the marker of number 34, which leaves him wondering where 35 is. As he is about to make his exit of the cell to question the lab assistant on where the missing number is hears a growl come from the darkest corner of the cell. Number 35 is still in the cell.
As the creature emerges from the darkness Mustang sees it is another chimera this time he knows its Edward, the chimera's human features are unmistakable. Edward doesn't seem to know him though as he attacks. Mustang must bring the boy that he believes is still in the creature to his senses. If he can, can he separate the animal from the man or is it better to kill Edward and save him the agony?

 I'm looking for someone to play Roy Mustang as a seme eventually Edward will be cured and they can develop a relationship. This will be a bit dark so if you don't like that then don't join. If you want to do this with me send me a pm with the title of the rp with a sampleof your writing.

Alphonse had reported Edward missing 4 months, 2 weeks and 3 days ago. In that time there had been n o sign if the young alchemist. At the current moment the army was storming a lab, it seemed mostly abandoned and that suited Lt. Hawkeye just fine as she stood guard near a cell door. She was at the end of a fairly long hallway with cell doors on either side every few feet. The place gave the Lt. the creeps not that she was willing to admit it. The whole building gave off a very evil and forbidden vibe so Riza didn't much feel like facing an enemy at the moment. Looking through the cell doors it hadn't been hard to see why the place seemed so forbidden and evil, in many of the cells lay dead or dying Cimeras all fusions of animals only. The cell she was guarding however held a dead chimera this one holding human features on what she could make out of the partially decaying creature. Not trusting anyone but herself she had stood guard and sent the solider who had traveled with her after the colonel.
The Lt. hoped for everything the creature laying dead in the cell was not Edward, she was unsure that Alphonse would be able to handle it if it was. Looking up at the cell door once more the Lt. puzzled over the numbers on top. Number 34 and 35 but 34 was scratched out; what did it mean? The sound of rushed footsteps nearing the hallway broke the Lt.'s thoughts and she saluted as the Colonel reached her. "Sir." she greeted.

Colonel Mustang saluted back at the Lt.
"So what do we have here Lt."
Roy peered into the cages but only saw darkness and blood smeared everywhere. He narrowed his eyes to see better and caught a glimpse of a figure.
hopefully this may lead us a step closer to Edward.
Roy sighed.

"Its a chimera sir." Hawkeye answered. "When we peered in on it its was quite easy to tell that it was a chimera mixed with a human. I fear it might be Edward but I didn't want to step into the cell without you here sir." Hawkeye continued to explain. "There is also the concerns of the marking on the doorway, we could not determine if number 35 is the one in the cell or if it has been removed or not. "
The creature hidden deep within the shadows listened intently as things conversed at the door. It did not sound like the beings that had created him so it left the creature cautious even as the door opened and a being entered checking over the one that had been paired with him. Fur on its back raised in a threatening posture even though the one that had entered the cell couldn't see him. The creature wanted the being to leave the other alone even if she was dead, she was not to be touched. A deep growl wound its way up through its throat when the being stood.

Roy heard the growl in the back of the cage and looked in its direction.
"I think that we have more company here Lt."
Roy moved slowly towards the back of the cell, still having his back to the entrance to the cell. He removed his alchemy gloves, and stood straight up knowing that whatever else was in the cell could see that he wasn't afraid of it.
"Lt. close the cell door, we don't want whatever's in here escaping before finding out what it is."

The creature was a bit annoyed as the being stood and seemed unafraid even though it knew it had caught the being by surprise. It heard the cell door close trapping the being in the cell with him and still the creature seemed calm almost waiting. So the creature stepped forward into the light allowing the being to finally see him. Golden fur graced most of its body as it walked on all fours, like the one on the ground it was easy to see it had been melded with something of a canine possibly a wolf. There were spots of blood on its muzzle and in other parts of it fur, but past that it was quite easy to tell which human the creature had been melded with. There were distinct features in the Chimera that made it easy to spot what was left of Edward Elric. The creature was starving; its ribs and pelvis bones jutted out starkly from beneath its skin and its spine was a prominent, almost skeletal ridge, yet it seemed to not have food in mind as it took another step forward snarling at the Colonel once more.

Roy's eyes widened as soon as he saw the features of Edward merged with the chimera.
"Edward is that you?!!!!"
Startled by his appearance Roy started to take steps towards the chimera but stopped.
"What have they done to you, your like a set of toothpicks put together."
Roy laughed little but then a sorrowful look came over his face.
"Lt. i think we may have found our young Edward."
Turning around back towards the entrance Roy walked slowly to the door.
"Lt. open it up, also have Edward escorted to headquarters for analysis.Give him food while your at it."

The Chimera gave no reaction to the calling of its human name other then stopping to focus more intently on the being before it. The chimera growled when Roy stepped forward towards him the growling ceased when he stopped. The human part of his mind seemed to push forward at the calling of his name but the animal side pushed it back. Hawkeye looked up surprised when Mustang called to her about the newly approached Chimera being Edward. The minds of the creature that had been fighting suddenly screamed to a halt as the animal pushed back the human side when Roy turned his back to the Chimera, suddenly with a snarl it launched itself at the seemingly distracted Colonel.
"SIR!" Hawkeye yelled when she had opened the cell door. Instinct had her drawing her gun to shoot the creature but she herself hesitated knowing that the creature had once been the fiery boy that annoyed her commander to no end.

Roy turned around and defended himself. He pushed the chimera Edward back then rushed in to knock him out.
"Lt. Hawkeye get that transport ready while I try to knock him out."
Roy turned his attention back at Edward.
"I know you can hear me Ed so fight your other half to stop this fight."
I really don't want to hurt him, but he leaves me no choice.
Roy pulled out his gloves but stopped. He ran quickly behind Edward and wrapped his arms around his neck in order knock him out without really hurting him.
As soon as Edward would lay on the ground Roy would let go, making sure not to kill Edward.

The creature side of the Chimera snarled as it was pushed back unable to land the blow it had wanted to. It jumped back as its feet touched the ground snarling at the man before him. "Yes, sir." Hawkeye acknowledged before making her way to do what she had been told, she did want to stay around and risk shooting the creature which had once been the boy. The creature once more paused in its snarling at the man as he called his name and told him to fight the animal side of his mind. He was starting to force his human mind forward when the animal caught sight of the gloves, the human side of the mind supplied what they did and the animal side erupted in anger. The human side tried to force itself back but the angered animal clamped down just as the arm wound their ways around its neck. The creature struggled as it began to lose air and then consciousness. The creature's body slumped to the floor unconcious.

Roy let go of Edward and sat on his knees.
"Sorry i had to do that to you Ed but what other choice did I have."
Roy stretched his arm towards Edwards head and started to stroke it. He waited silently until Lt. Hawkeye returned.
"At least Alphonse will be glad that we have Edward back with us, but I'm not sure how he will take it when he sees Ed in this current state."
Roy sighed at the thought on how Alphonse would react.

The chimera Ed didn't respond to Mustang's words at the moment it couldn't both because of its unconscious state and because its mind was too over taken by the animal. Hawkeye returned soon after Roy had disabled the chimera Ed. "Sir, transport is ready. Where are you planning on taking him?" she questioned she had seen the Colonel petting the unconscious creature.

"For now Lt. have him taken to the science compound, for them to find a way to reverse this process then we'll figure out something from there."
Roy stood up and helped move chimera Ed to the transport.
"I'll keep an eye on him in the transport, and I'll see you back at Central."
Roy left with the chimera Edward.

Hawkeye looked a bit wary when the Colonel said he would have him taken to the science compound. "Excuse me sir but I don't think thats the best option for Edward. For one we know that as a human he had no care for medical personnel but as he is now its obvious he would not trust anyone there and he would be much harder to handle. Also I believe that should anyone outside of your command were to find out sir that Edward would be quickly taken. I believe it would be best if he went somewhere more secure." Hawkeye said sternly before taking a breath. "I believe that it would be best that he went home with you sir. I believe you would be the best person to care for Edward." she said before allowing the Colonel to pass and make his own decision.
Consciousness came slowly, the creature didn't know where it was, both human and animal did not recognize the place and that sent it golden fur standing on end. It ear erect listening for anything.
