I made a promise to fast and pray a certain number of rosaries in a certain amount of time for some people. I finished them, but i didn't get them done in the time i said i would and i wasn't as strict as i could have been with fasting. I think the promise was too ambitious for me in the first place, but i know i could have tried harder and maybe if i did i could have done it.
I want to know if this is a mortal sin? I did finish my promise but i didn't do a very good job of it. So i think this only a venial sin. But I feel really bad and guilty that i didn't do as good as i could have. I feel bad like i disappointed God. crying
Please answer as quickly as you can.

no, this was not a mortal sin, you tried and that is what matters,
did you make sure though to ask for Gods grace and strength to fulfill your promise? we should never try to go it alone in anything, no matter how small, we always need Gods help in all things, because without God we can do nothing, and to neglect(on purpose) to ask for Gods help, is not good because by that we are not regarding ourselves as the weak creatures we really are, it is a type of pride to think we can do anything on our own,
well, just a little bit of advice, but i'm sure you already know that anyways,
so don't worry, it was not a mortal sin, but i would still recommend bringing it up in confession, since it's really your priests place to tell you and not mine.
and don't think that God would be disappointed in you, He is displeased with us many times for our sins, but He knows you better than you know yourself, and He knows what to expect from you, all He wants is for you to try your best, and that is all.
