The sun shone brightly this day; however, it barely broke past the water's surface. This river happened to be deep enough to contain vast amounts of water with a rather deep gulch carved in the center of it, making it fairly wide and decently deep. Amongst the many creatures that swam the channel was a slightly more active than usual kelpie stallion. It wasn't often that he was out and about during the day, but the sun had warmed the water to a comfortable degree and he was happy to drift and bask in its embrace.Of course Desvayne stayed closer toward the center of the river, where his large body could easily maneuver without worry of getting caught in the various reeds and sea plants that stretched from the ocean waters- mere miles upstream. With a fresh breathful of air in his lungs the stallion was eager to dive down to the bottom, where he could inspect what may be living on the riverbed. It wasn't often he felt the need to seek out company, but since he had left the underwater home of the merlocks many moons ago, he had rarely come into contact with his own species, or others native to this wondrous world of theirs.
