In these days and ages, darkness is upon us. Lucifer, himself, walks among us everyday, and strikes unpredictably. Right now, it is said that he has formed a new plan to bring down the race of man with the help of an angel. No one knows exactly when this plan will go down, but many hope it still won't go through at all, that another angel won't fall into Lucifer's control. This is the story of that plan, that angel, and the all-powerful Lucifer.

((Sorry if I take so long, it's not easy remembering 3 different rps, lol!))
Gabriel II, son of the legendary Archangel, Gabriel, was just one task away from joining his father. It was a rather complicated task of preventing a human from sinning without manipulating their free will or conscience. He had been at it for weeks, and the human was just several hours away from his death. So far, he nearly committed ten sins, but Gabriel managed to stop him without breaking the rules of his final task.
He petted the human's hair lovingly like a parent, even though he knew they couldn't feel it, and sighed. "You poor thing. Just one sin away from being an easy prey for demons after you die..." Gabriel looked around, keeping an eye out for any forms of temptation that could ruin everything. Little did he know, he was being followed by something worse than sin...

Lucifer walked down the street with a sparkle in his eyes. To most he would just look like a normal happy person, but really he was the devil. He could easily look right into people's souls and see what their deepest weakness was. All looking like a normal person. He could possess anyone that opened their heart to him, and normally they were the best looking person in the room. He blended right in. At the moment, he was looking for his little pet angel. He had been tracking him. It was the son of Gabriel, he was almost sure of it. If he could get him to turn, his plan would fall right into place.
His eyes meet with the man's eyes. He could see the angel, but the angel could not see it was him because of the human body. "Excuse me, sir, but I can't help but to notice you are a little down. Maybe you want to come and talk with me?" Lucifer said calmly in his female body offering his hand to him. The human took the bait so easily, Lucifer almost laughed. Lucifer knew, Lucifer knew this man's death the moment he touched his hand... He was doing to be killed by being hit by a car after Lucifer was going to send him right off the path of good. Then the angel would come next. "maybe we can talk in my hotel room, I'm a bit lonely." His sweet voice whispered sounding exactly like the sinfully beautiful woman. The angel had not gotten to his man, the angel had only fooled himself into thinking it. Lucifer could feel it.

Gabriel's wings instinctively flared out like a surprised bird, and then he relaxed them once he calmed down. He could see and hear the sinful intent in the woman's voice, but he had no idea she was hosting the epiphany of all that was evil. "Don't do it, my son," he said as he followed them closely. "Take care not to go down the wrong path!" Humans couldn't hear angels, but their souls could. However, it wasn't easy reaching out to a human through their soul. Back when people knew without a doubt that Heaven and Hell existed, it was much easier reaching their conscience and preventing sin. However, they were still just as corrupt as modern-day humans, so keeping them down the right path had yet to be perfected.
As Gabriel helplessly watched the man allow himself to be led down the wrong path, his heart sank. Not only had the angel lost to sin once more, but another decade was wasted for nothing. He would have to try again after a decade of completing much simpler missions. Tears formed, and he wondered if becoming an Archangel was ever possible for an angel like himself. Angels his age were already powerful Archangels, but he was still going through his final test after twelve decades. "No... I mustn't doubt myself," he whispered as he waited outside the doorway to the woman's hotel room. "I may have missed my chance now, but I mustn't give up. I still have time... I just need to get stronger before then..."

Lucifer came out of the hotel with the man in arm with him. His eyes glanced over to the angel without actually turning towards him as he walked towards the street. There was a smile on his face as he continued into the street. His lifelessly cold eyes then looked back at the angel as the car hit them both. No one, but the angel, could hear it, but a deep laughter filled the air with a sickening tone to it. As the commotion started to spread like wild fire, Lucifer slipped out into the nearest host.
Now it was time to get the angel. Lucifer had to put on greatest act for this one. He moved until he got into the body of a not-so-pretty girl, and then started back towards the angel with tears in the human’s eyes. “Why is it also me? I’ll never find love! I should just go and kill myself right now…” He said as he passed the angel again. It wasn’t screaming loud, but it was loud enough to where it could be heard. As he continued walked he secretly wondered if the angel would take the bait or not.

Gabriel weeped silently for the deceased and watched helplessly as their souls were devoured by lesser demons. If the angel had succeeded, he would've automatically been promoted to an Archangel, and would have had the power to protect innocent souls from demons. He paused after it was over, and realized that he had heard something. Laughter? It sounded... dark... He looked around, hoping to find the source. Instead, he saw and heard another woman walking past him, threatening to commit suicide.
"No! Don't lose hope!" he called as he ran through the crowd to get to her. Lord, lend me your strength to save this innocent soul! He quickly grabbed her by her shoulders and held on to keep from losing her again. Again, humans couldn't see, hear, or feel angels, but, that aside, angels were like ghosts and able to cling to any human. Of course, ghosts--or trapped souls--usually held a nearly unbreakable attachment to whatever they're clinging to. Exorcisms usually helped with that issue...
Gabriel sighed with relief as he released her and walked closely behind her. "You poor child of God," he said softly. "You've yet to understand that everyone is beautiful. That there is someone out there for you, but it'll take a little more time to find them." He sighed, again. "I wish you could hear me and find comfort in my words..."

Lucifer chuckled a little mentally hearing the Angel take the bait. The girl then turned looking around a bit shocked. "Who's talking?"She said, to anyone but the angel, she would just seem crazy, but he was pretending that she could hear the angel like he could. She just couldn't see the angel in this little pretend game he was playing.
The girl looked terrified, but in her fear there was this innocent. She looked young, probably too young to really be getting in a relationship, and yet she was going to throw her life away from one. She had light brown hair that covered up her face, and her clothes were a little baggy like she was trying to hide her body. She had make-up on as well, so it was quite apparent that she didn't like the way she looked at all. She was probably like everyone other girl, who couldn't stand their own bodies, so they tried to change them all the time. Though, she didn't looked like a tramp or stupid, she looked like just one of those girls that just go passed up all the time, and went unnoticed despite trying so hard to get noticed.

Gabriel froze and covered his mouth. D-did she... hear me? He looked around to make sure no other angels were watching. It was rare to see another angel nearby, but they were everywhere, regardless. I might as well see if she can hear me... I can't convince her to not commit suicide, but I can at least be a form of comfort. "C-can you hear me? I know you can't see me, but that's only natural," he said as gently as he could. "My name is Gabriel."

The girl looked around again anyway. "But if I can't see you then how do I know you are there? And if you are there, why are you talking me? Have I really gone insane?"She said sobbing a little at the last part. Lucifer needed to make sure the angel was commit to saving the girl before he set anymore of his plan into act. He couldn't rush this one, he needed to slowly reel the young angel in to get him to go along with him. Otherwise, his plan was going to fall through and he would have wasted all those years and work for nothing.

"I'm afraid I cannot disprove insanity, nor can I reveal who I am. I'm not allowed to, or I would be banished from this world forever," Gabriel said sadly. "But, please believe me when I say that I am here to protect you." He then smiled warmly and petted her head lovingly like a parent, "Now tell me, my child, what is troubling you?"
Elsewhere, two Archangels were watching from a distance. "What are the odds of her soul being connected to her heart?" asked the first angel. "Very unlikely. In fact, she's completely disconnected to the other side, so her heart shouldn't hear so much as an angel's whisper through her soul," the second angel said softly.
"Perhaps she's possessed?" The second angel shook his head, "No, I cannot see anything suspicious. Either it's a very powerful demon, or Gabriel has developed a special power that hasn't been seen since the day Eve was corrupted by... a certain serpent..." The first angel gasped in horror, "C-could Gabriel become another Lucifer?"
"There is no guarantee," the second angel snapped. "As long as he doesn't return to Heaven for breaking any laws, this might actually be a good thing. We'll just have to wait..." The first angel sighed and hugged himself, fearing the worst.

The girl looked up into the air for a moment before glancing around at the people walking by. "I look mental. I need to get somewhere where it's just me." She whispered to the voice hoping it would understand. Then she gathered herself a little, she took a deep breath then moved down the sidewalk to her home. It wasn't too far away she lived in the city with her mother, who was always working. It was probably why Lucifer easily took over her; she had an empty hole in her life. Though Lucifer wasn't controlling her every action, no, he need it to see real, so he was just 'guiding' her in a way.
The apartment the girl called home wasn't huge, in fact, you could barely call it average. She slipped off her jacket walking inside after fiddling with her keys. Her skinny arms reached up and slipped the jacket onto one of the hooks by the door, before continuing down the hall to a small room cramped with furniture. It was a cluttered room, but it seemed to be the one the girl lived it. There was a lot of fashion magazines cluttered about, along with similar make-up and clothes to what she was wearing. If you had to label the poor girl, you could say she tried everything in her power to be trendy. "Okay, we should be alone.."She whispered looking around again for the voice she heard, hopefully it could follow her. Only Lucifer knew how much she needed the help right now.

"I'm glad you're able to trust me. I'm sure most people would think I'm evil, or a figment of their imagination," Gabrial chuckled lightly. "Now, tell me what ails you. Perhaps I can use my abilities to assist in some way. I can't grant wishes, or hurt anyone who's harmed you, but I am allowed to protect you when necessary... in a way... It's difficult to explain, really..." Father, give me the strength to help this poor girl...

"Well... I just can't win.. No matter how much I try to get someone to love me. No one will. I try changing my look, wearing make-up to hide the ugliness of my face, I wear clothes that hid my ugly body, but nothing I do seems to make me any more loved, so that is why I came to the conclusion that I should just end my life and save myself the trouble of going through life completely alone..." She said softly to the voice. "Now, I'm talking to a figment of my imagination to comfort myself out of it, because I'm scared of feeling the pain that'll come with dying." She whispered sadly really wishing she could just disappear off the face of the earth and be out of everyone's hair.

"You just have not found 'the one,'" Gabriel said softly. "You are still young and you have your whole life ahead of you. If you end it now, you will only regret it." The angel wasn't sure if mentioning the afterlife would be a good idea. There was a chance that the girl could figure out he was an angel.
Elsewhere, word was spreading quickly amongst the angels about Gabriel's "gift." Because they didn't want to cause an uproar, they made sure Metatron, the highest ranking angel in Heaven, didn't hear about it until it was certain that Gabriel wasn't going to become another Lucifer. Of course, they didn't know if God knew about it. He never spoke to his angels directly like He used to. When He needed to be heard, He would use Metatron as a medium, but that was rare in itself.

"How will I ever find 'the right one' if I'm stuck in this city? High school here is absolutely horrible! It's like hell on Earth, no matter what I do, I can't get the attention of any guy I like, they all turn away from me like I'm some peasant not worth their time! They are right, I am some lowly peasant, who doesn't deserve love aren't i?" She asked the voice sitting down on her bed and putting her face in her hands as she started to cry. This girl was on the verge of snapping and jumping out a window somewhere and Lucifer was eating it up like it was candy. Human torture had always been a favorite of his.
