So Mother's Day is coming up in a week and I've been thinking long and hard about what to get my mom. She's very difficult to shop for and every time I ask her what she wants, she tells me not to get her anything and if I do, just to get her a card. Regardless of what she tells me, I know how special it makes you feel to get a gift from a family member you love, so I figured we could all put our heads together and come up with some good ideas for gifts for that special woman in our lives.
I've also go to get stuff for my other adopted moms. Phew... lots to do!

Taking her out to lunch sounds like a great idea. I wish we had a sort of spa here. I'd love to take her to a spa.

I'm not a huge fan of having my feet touched, so I can understand. lol
I was thinking of buying my mom flowers, but she's stated several times that she isn't a "flower" person. I was thinking of going to Michael's and buying some silk flowers and maybe decorating a vase with my daughter for her, so that way she won't fret over the fact that we paid so much money for something that was just going to die. Plus, she could put them on her table and use them as a center piece.

I just hate being on such a tight budget. I'd love to spend all sorts of money on my mom.

I got my mom a really nice running jacket for half price on an end of winter sale, so I've saved it for Mother's Day. I also got some different food items at Trader Joe's - some teriyaki sauce, a ready to go Thai Green Curry sauce, and saffron and chocolate. We don't have TJ in Canada, so it was a nice surprise for her, as she loves that store.
