The villiage of Aeccestane is a slightly larger sized villiage than most, creeping up upon being a city. Aeccestane is known for its blacksmiths who are the best in the land next to Novena Sabriel. A villliage of swords and armor, this is the only villiage that can actually say it has an army of its own. Aeccestane lays north of the mountains which tend to protect it from invasion.

Astraea was young but she knew what she was doing was right, her twin sai at her sides, her whip at her waist and her brothers wakisashi on her back she smiled bidding fairwell to the people of Aeccestane. They had been very kind in letting her stay with them for a while, and she had learned some valuable things from them. As she turned her back to the town she started towards the mountain. She knew it would be fun trying to pass the mountains, but she refused to take the easy way and just go around it through Altheda, and, with one last wave to the people of Aeccestane, she was on her way.

Sirence walked casually into the village of Aeccestane, a half-awake eleven year old girl at his side. Sirence had been to this town perhaps twice in his life, both missions of some kind. He tried at this moment, to remember what those missions were but they were gray and fuzzy, much like the thoughts of his little sister, and his brother?
They walked on together, a number of buildings had armor and weaponry displayed just outside. Most of these were intricate and beautifully done but highly unimpressive to the two Ember children as they walked on.
~There must be something mildly worthwhile around here, somewh- ah!~ Sirence thought as his eyes suddenly spotted a small shop on the corner with a long white dress littered with sapphires, shining delicately just outside its window. "This way." He said softly though his tone was still very formal.
There, beyond the counter, stood a well groomed man and his wife decked in chain mail. The woman's jaw dropped as Sirence and Sairiel walked through the door. The man, had no idea who their guests were, greeted them cheerful, “Welcome! Welcome! Please, come in and have a look around. I am more then happy to help you with anything you need.”
Sirence didn’t even bother to glance at the woman or the rest of the shop. He held Sairiel’s shoulder and moved her forward. “I need something for her to wear. Make it impressive.” His formal tone gave away that he was obviously of high standing and would pay for whatever was made.
The man eagerly took the girl’s hand and led her into the back room. “Right this way, dear.” After a moment of hesitation, the tailor’s wife followed him into the back.
Sirence took this long moment to look around. The shop had many beautiful gowns and more common dresses hung about the walls. Hung between them and even woven into a number of the dresses was chain mail of a rather good quality. The man had far too delicate of hands to be any sort of smith, and Sirence recognized the techniques. This woman, obviously a soldier, must have been one of Novena EmberSmith’s first apprentices.

Roughly fifteen minutes later the fabric hung in the doorway to the back room parted once again. Sairiel stepped out from behind it with the man’s hand prodding her gently forward. The dress she wore was fit for a princess on a fine summer’s day. It was a soft crèmey-golden-yellow, laced with white, possessing a number of shimmering orange stones along the top and bottom rims. There was a white flower the woman promptly placed in the girl’s hair, obviously freshly cut. Sairiel smiled shyly at her turned brother and although she would not notice, behind his dark, bias eyes he smiled back.
“How much?” Sirence inquired in an approving tone. He reached for a pouch at his side.
“Hmm-“ started the man who was quickly cut off by his wife. “Free. It’s yours. We could never thank the Ember family enough for everything they have done. Have you need of anything else?” She smiled a soldier’s smile. Her husband looked horrified at the price but the second the name ‘Ember’ was used he became even paler, his jaw hanging open in shock.
Sirence nodded approvingly and motioned for Sairiel to leave the shop with him. “We shouldn’t need anything else.”
“Wait!” Replied the man, his voice finally returning. “She hasn’t anything on her feet.” He quickly disappeared into the back room and before Sirence could object to his time limit the man had returned. He held two yellow-gold satin slippers which somehow completed the young girl’s brilliant radiance.
Sairiel and Sirence left the shop. As she stepped into the sun she smiled and closed her eyes, unknowingly absorbing its great energy unto herself. She herself appeared to glow with all the sun’s power as she walked on beside her brother.
As they left the village center, the roads were less well taken care of. Sirence, for the thought of impressing his General Glenmark, decided to carry Sairiel even though this would cause his movements to be slower. They had time.

Tiki slunk into the village, keeping well away from the townsfolk and watching Sirence from a distance. Now that he was paying attention and there were no ashes in the air, he came to a startling realization: the male he and Candle had been tracking was kin with the girl Candle had been carrying. He suddenly felt very stupid for seperating them. Tiki had no pack, unless he counted Trent (who didn't quite behave as a pack leader should) and felt extremely lonely for it.

*Trent stayed high in the air. He and Tiki had made great time, he could feel Sairiel, and Sirence, but unfortunately, they were in the middle of town, and he would not put a pedestrian life in harms way. He would wait until they left, and mask his presence high above the town. He gave one last large flap of his wings, and then folded them around him. The fire red of the wings disappeared, and became transparent, but Trent could not be seen. It was like he wasn't there at all. He then masked his energy, virtually disappreaing from existence.*

Tiki crawled forth into the village, suddenly not caring if he lost the element of surprise. The lone animal must follow such tactics, but Tiki had Trent... somewhere... he could smell him nearby, even if he was invisible and his energy was cloaked. A pack had no need for silence, their barking only made the hunt more real. And, now, he was not sure that they were hunting. It seemed wrong to him steal the female from her kin. Still, he approached, determined to follow Trent's lead.
Sauntering up past Sirence in a fast trot, he leapt up onto a rotted stump and crouched, just staring at the figure... not angrily, nor hostilely in any way... merely intent.

*Trent saw Tiki's approach and decided that it's far enough out from the town to have an encounter. His invisible encasement darted towards the top of the tallest tree, near Tiki. The tree was still a good hundred feet from Tiki, but that was good enough. He was cautious of starting a fight so near a village still. He would wait to see what came of Sirence and Tiki's meeting.*

*Karin jumped up onto a tree branch. She had been able to feel Trent's energy fine for a long while now, but all of a sudden it dissapeared. she, as always, thought that the worst had happened, so she had sped up a great deal, following the direction in which she had last felt him. She was now at that point, and was in a tree looking at entrance gate to a village. One man, and a very prettily dressed girl, who looked to be about the same age as herself, were leaving the village. Raedra had warned her not to go any farther than this point, but would not tell her why.* "Why do we have to just wait here?! Borther Trent might be in trouble!" ~Quiet little one. He is fine. Remeber, I wouldn't be here if he had perished. I am only acting as he would have me act. We will wait a little onger until we meet with him.~ "Okay, fine..." *Karin folded her arms and found a more comfortable position on the tree branch. Raedra, on the other hand, changed her form into a squirrel, and found a more comfortable position on Karin.*

*Trent, to his great and contradictory displeasure, recignized his sister's energy arrive nearby, a bit farther down the road. Trent loved his sister dearly, but just by being here now, made the situation a lot tougher for him. He had no ideawhat skills she still retained. Before the ambush, back at his home, she was able to put up a fight like non-other. That's why she got away with so much. If she could still fight like that, she'd be more a help than a burden. He could only hope that she hadn't lost her spark.*

Sirence, had he been himself, would have noticed the subtle ambush, it was one of his specialties. However, in his near-brainwashing Glenmark left him with a huge disadvantage. Sirence’s eyes pass about the area silently but his usual senses are on stand by as there is little movement. The sun hung low in the sky and it would not be too much longer before Sunset. His eyes focus on tiki for a moment as he continues to carry Sairiel down the dirt path and toward the mountain. He measures the tiki intently for a moment but with no sudden movements or aggression he ignores it(Yes, to him you are an ‘it’).
Sairiel clings around Sirence’s neck tightly, her eyes locked on the setting sun, nearly low enough to set the horizon ablaze. She looked sad though she appeared to be mesmerized at the same time.

Tiki sat with inhuman patience, still as a rock, for the few short eternities it took Sirence to pass by him. A moment after his back was turn, Tiki let out a long, whispering growl, just barely audible over the sounds of a distant stream. He remained unmoving, though his eyes followed the man.

Sirence paused momentarily, his attention once again returning to tiki. He turned his head and watched tiki for a moment. He suddenly felt as though something were out of place. Sirence stared at tiki for a moment, but not so long as Sairiel would notice. He kept a non-physical sensing eye on tiki as he again continued toward the mountains.
Sairiel lay nearly limp in her brother's cold arms, wishing he was himself again and hoping quietly that Contay was right and Dameon would come for her soon. The sun's rays lit the horizon a flame just before its edge would greet the distant forest lining.

"Nothing... this can wait no longer." *Trent's invisible "container" moved down to the road, about 50 feet behind Sirence.* "Sirence!" *Trent's shield became red again, then regained the natural wing shape, and he unfolded them to their full span.* "I have a promise to keep!"

Sirence’s gait paused once again in mid-step. However, this time he turned on his heel to face Trent. Sairiel was yanked from her entranced thoughts as her brother whirled around. “What?” she whispered softly in her confused state, as Sirence gently placed her feet on the ground. The sun struck the horizon and she felt dizzy all of a sudden, swaying lightly. “A promise?” Sirence laughed. “Your promises don’t weight against my own. I am late.” His arm lay over Sairiel’s shoulder in a near threatening manner but she wouldn’t notice. Sirence kept an eye on the whereabouts of Tiki though most of his attention lay on Trent and the town behind him at that moment. He guided Sairiel in a turning motion, so that they might continue their journey. The path here was not nearly as dusty and it wouldn’t damage anything Sairiel wore to walk for a bit. Sairiel’s alarmed eyes landed on Trent and she opened her mouth to say something but her voice failed her.
