This is the cover to the first game, "Klonoa: Door to Phantomile" This game is probably the rarest and hardest to find, Basically in this game, the evil character ghaddius has kidnapped the moon diva Lephius and Klonoa, knowing nothing abotu what's going on, and his buddy huepow, decide to help her. A little annoying clown guy named Joka is constantly setting up obstacles and setting monsters on klonoa to stop his chase. (Playstation 1)
This is the cover to the second game "Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil" in this one, Klonoa if found washed up on the beach of the sea of Tears by Lolo and her friend Popka. It turns out a prophet foresaw his arrival, and Klonoa must gather the 4 "elements", Tranquility from La lakoosha, Joy from Joliant, Discord from Volk City, and Indecision from the mountains of Mira Mira. This is because a 5th bell is appearing which will bring chaos to Lunatea. They are constantly Thwarted by Leorina, the Sky pirate, and her sidekick Tat.(Playstation 2)
This is the cover to "Klonoa: Beach Volleyball" I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about this one, as it wasn't realeased in the US (but it was in Britain). All I know really is that you forma team with two characters and go through a volleyball tournament. whee. (Playstation 1)
This is the cover to "Klonoa: Moonlight Museum" This is one I know even less about, but judging from the screenshots being in black and white, and that he's in the same outfit as Door to Phantomile, this might actually be his REAL first game, I'm not sure. (Wonderswan)
This is the cover to "Klonoa: Empire of Dreams". Basically in this one, Klonoa finds himself in a place called the Empire of Dreams when he wakes up, he and huepow are arrested for Dreaming in the kingdom. The reason dreaming has been outlawed is because king Jillius has insonmia and cannot sleep, out of jealousy he forbids everyone else to dream. Klonoa is offered to be forgiving if he defeats four monsters that have been terrorizing the kingdom, and he picks up hints of who the real problem behind everything is along the way... This is the cover to "Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament". This game is forever ingraved into my mind as "the first game to introduce Guntz" (unless of course, Beach Volleyball introduced him first, I know he's in that game...). It is ALSO etched into my mind as "those f****** idiots translated his name wrong! >_<" This game takes place -DIRECTLY- after Dream Champ tournament, they even show the final boss crumbling. A letter drifts from the sky annoying a tournament with a HUGE prize, suddenly Klonoa is teleported to the waiting room, where he meets Lolo and Popka again. A guy named Garland is hosting the tournament. Guntz is introduced by showing him walking by with everyone whispering thinks like "hey, isn't that the golden killer Guntz?" (because of the translation error, they say Gantz, BUT HIS NAME IS GUNTZ DAMNIT. Ah, sorry, my fangirlism kicked in there.). And he basically calls everyone Brats. Klonoa also Runs into a Chipple(a friend from Empire of dreams) and Joka again at the tournament. Guntz is willing to do ANYTHING to win the tournament for the prize money, even cheating or taking advantage of the friendships to deceive Klonoa's friends(don't worry, he's less of an @$$ by the end of the game :3). Though, the tournament seems to have a darker motive than just finding out who is the best hero.
This is the cover to the game "Klonoa Heroes" which still hasn't been released in the US..... I hope we don't get skipped out on this one since it is, in my opinion, the best one so far. (I played a rom of it <_< >_>) This one is different from the others because instead of a platformer/puzzle, its not an RPG/puzzle type, but it doesn't loose that feeling the Klonoa games give you. This game seems to be in a different setting than the others, after all, all the others were called "dreams" and this one isnt...
It starts off with Klonoa of course, who is aspiring to become a hero, He first goes to get a Flower for Lolo, because the flower is said to grant wishes. When several Giant moos attack, he tries to defeat them, but he eventually gets overrun by them, When suddenly Guntz shows up (*swoon~*) and shoots them off of him. Blah blah Blah, Gutnz steals flower to annoy Klonoa, blah blah blah, Klonoa eventually Gets flower back, blah blha blah, Klonoa notices Guntz has a Hero medal, and begs him to bring him to where you get the medals, Guntz lets him come along. My favorite chapter was in Jugpot, cause they get into a debate over whether to swim ro take a ship...... Klonoa can't swim, and Guntz gets seasick........they wind up taking a ship xD. Before doing this though, They help Karal (who is from Door To Phantomile) snap his mother, Pamela out of some kind of spell. Eventually they meet Pango who is the big orange armadillo thing who no speak grammar good very. (The translations of the script I was using from a site were engrishy all around, but someone I know who does know japanese says he does actually have bad grammar). Eventually they get to the priestess trainign place, where Lolo is, whoo. Pango, who is kind unlike Guntz(but deep down we all know he's actually a good guy~. Ok fine, I'll leave my fangirl comments for after the summaries from now on =/. but oh wait, this is the last summary, HAR.) does introduce Klonoa to the High priestess, Guntz had actually disappeared before they reached here, because he was chasing a mysterious figure. The high priestess asks Klonoa what he believes is the meaning of a hero, and Klonoa answers witha bunch fo things, not sure which is teh best answer, and the Priestess does give him a hero medal, Klonoa maked a big deal about it, even thoguh almsot anyone can get one. Pango points out that Klonoa's Medal is only bronze, which is the lowest color, and Klonoa makes a big deal over the fact that Guntz's is silver, which is a level higher than him, thinking Guntz doesn't deserve a higher level. Pango's medal is gold. Joka captures lolo for something, and Guntz shows up after trying to snipe Joka since he works for the mysterious figure Guntz was chasing(no its not Ghadius again). When they reach Volk they all temporarily go seperate ways again and meet back up later. I believe it was Guntz that was saying the situation was hopeless at this point, but Klonoa says "If we loose, then we cannot win!" as their excuse to not give up, which makes his medal turn silver, and makes Guntz laugh, and they're all ready to go again. Whee.
Aaaaaand after this the plot has pretty much stabalized and I actually didn't get much further than this >_> so yeah. Basically at this point they're all chasing after Joka who took Lolo for different reasons: Klonoa to save Lolo, Guntz because He's after the myseterious figure (who was revealed before this point but I dun feel like spoiling), and pango because he's nice, and as he said when they met him, is looking for a cure for the sleep-spell his son is under.(Gameboy Advance)

Now, back to the games, Each game (except for klonoa heroes and beach volleyball) use a sidescrolelr system, but in a 3D environment, which is especially apparent in the ps1/ps2 games. What's really nice is that alot of times, the background has almsot as much going on int eh foreground, that it'll make you want to just go right into it, especially in levels like Joliant in Lunatea's Veil. There is also interaction with the foreground/background, for things like throwing enemies at items/switches. It is a very colorful game, and has a bit of a cutesy feel too it, but it still is quite fun, and it keeps you thinking with its puzzles and hidden items. As an extra challenge, each game features unlockable levels or imagaes that you get by collecting all the 'dream stones' in a level, or other various things.
For the favorite characters poll, if you Didn't pick it up from my CUSTOM PROFILE TEMPLATE. or my CONSTANT FANGIRL-ISH COMMENTS, my Favorite character is of course, Guntz, wheeeee~ (though, in both Games I've played with him in it he starts off seeming kinda rude, but to me he seems the way Kyo is, just not used to being around people. Specially since he warms up to the others througout the game.) He's a bounty hunter, by the way. Now excuse me while I stand around being useless, lost in reatardednesss~ heart whee
