I was looking around the guild when it hit me "I'm the only guy who likes Loki" (or at least is active)
Anyway i was wondering what people thought of Loki's audience is it aimed more at women? And who is Loki's main audience?

Well, it seems to me that the only people who I know who like the Mythical Detective Loki are girls. I know a few guys who like the manwha Loki and the Norse God Loki. It really depends on which Loki you talk about. sweatdrop

Well, your the second boy I know to like MDLR. It's not very surprising though, there is quite a few fight scenes in it. Plus some mild humor in it to. 3nodding

Does that include the Norse Loki? Also you don't think it has anything to do with Gender?

Slayn Bacon Does that include the Norse Loki? Also you don't think it has anything to do with Gender? oi, okay, MDLR is more for teenage girls in my opinion. The norse mythology one is really hard because it's an old religion, so everyone studied it. So I guess it's for everyone. sweatdrop

i like loki, both norse and mythical detective. i just sort of forget about the guild a lot. i can get very distracted at times
loki in norse mythology was described as being attractive, which would make you assume that more females would like the character. what i like about him, and what most other guys probably like, is his charachteristics as a trickster. he is the original bad boy. girls love him, guys want to be him

But I can see why you say MDLR is aimed a Teen girls. LokiLB i like loki, both norse and mythical detective. i just sort of forget about the guild a lot. i can get very distracted at times

MaLoki is a magical boy anime. *coughs* You have pretty boys, girls, not too many fight sequences, henshin sequences... What part about it makes you think it's NOT for girls?? xd
The manga's not so... Umm. Girl-reader-oriented, though. =3
As for Norse mythology... Really, I don't think gender matters there. O_o

O_o I guess LokiLB and I are just not conformists like all the other guys xd but i still think that the Norse Loki is still aimed a little more at males.

But you're outnumbered 3 to 1. domokun You may have all the facts down, but women of the time still worshiped and payed tribute to the gods. Especially Frigga.

I guess I just need to do somemore reseach then. But also I did't say that women did't worship gods back then I just said that it was more aimed at men

Quote: I guess I just need to do somemore reseach then. But also I did't say that women did't worship gods back then I just said that it was more aimed at men I wouldn't say that mythology is *aimed* at anyone. Religion is a thing that is believed, and unlike nowadays at Western countries, back when Norse mythology was "still alive" they didn't have religions to choose from. They didn't have the possibility to think whether they believed in Norse gods, Buddha, Christian God, Allah or what. There was no option. Pretty much like breathing - you can't really think that oxygen is aimed at certain kinds of people. After all, you have to choices with that: either you breath it or suffocate.
