I make this every Halloween and Yule.
You need: one large pot one or two gallans of apple cider (depending of how much you want) fresh cinniman sticks whole cloves one or two oranges
In the pot pore about one gallan of apple cider, add about 4 cinniman sticks and gring to almost a boil. Slice orange in half stud peel side with cloves add to pot. When it is just boiling, turn heat down and let it simmer for a few minuts. Serve hot.

Neko_Bast I use the apple juice cider but you can use hard cider also. Is there anything more to it or is it just mulled apple juice?

I've never used cloves before. Do you put the whole clove in?

Since its a whole half of an orange and the cloves are stuck in the orange you don't have to, but you can if you want. Yes, you use whole cloves.
