Ceara
Ceara was reorganizing her shelves when she heard the chime of her door. The red head brushed her hair from her face as she went to greet the guest. Her amber eyes furrowed as she saw an elder woman clutching a child to her chest. " Hello grand one... what distresses you?" she asked, giving the elder respect though she herself was far older. The woman spoke in a frantic voice. " Please... my grandson is very ill, no one can find what is making him weak. " She said close to tears.
Ceara nodded before walking around the counter and held her arms out. "Pass him my way. I give my word I shall do my best for the young one. " She told her soothingly. The elder hesitated before passing him to the healor. " Now I must insist you wait out here..." Ceara told her. She couldnt risk the woman finding out what she really was. To few of my kind are left... She reminded herself before bowing and took the boy back to a room. The child looked around five years or so, his dark locks drenched in sweat. His breath was coming out ragged and his skin ashened. " Dear me... " Ceara murmured, clicking her tongue. Ceara pressed a cool cloth to his forehead and closed her eyes. She parted her lips as a soft melody came out, the room began to glow as if an ember was lit. " So that was the problem... poor child. You ingested something of poison... ahh..."
Ceara let her gold wings sprout from her back, swiftly she plucked a single feather and rubbed it over the child's form. " Water demon plague him no more" She whispered as the feather burst into flames, the child grew surrounded by a light. After a moment more the light faded along with her wings and the boy's complexion began to improve. She gathered some bottles and poked her head out. " Grandmother, you may come in now. The boy got into some light toxin water is all. Give him this twice a day and he should be fine" She promised. The woman sobbed as she hugged the healor, thanking her over and over again once she saw her grandson looking less ill. She took the boy and vials and left. Ceara sighed as she went back to cleaning, as a phoenix she couldnt help but help those in need.
