A soft tile walkway leads to a Japanese style door, elegant glass windows show a display of sweets. A sign with a cake on it hangs above the door with the name on it. The interior is rather colorful, soft colors all around. Posts and a menu board hang on the walls with colorful curtains tied back near the windows. The walls hold display cases and to the left are various tables for the patrons to sit in if they so desire. The back room holds the kitchen and storage area for the cooking supplies and other ingredients needed to make the treats. Shop owner: Eira

Eira Watch me bath the world in ice, my own wonderland..... Her pale white hair was pinned back out of her way as she set up her shop for the day. It had been awhile since she had been in a human like establishment. Her crystal eyes focused on the task at hand, setting eah pastery in its specific place. She was all about order, everything had its place. Once she was finish preparing her fresh goods she flipped her sign and waited, smiling warmly as she waited to greet her first customer. She kept her shop cool, not to cold but not warm so the icing wouldnt melt. She perched herself behind the counter and waited. .....Dont mess with the queen of ice.

It wasn't often Fleischer's sweet tooth acted up, but at that moment, after already having a mostly decent meal from some of the stalls outside, he decided to get himself a treat. It was a nice looking place. He had been to the far east, once, and while this place seemed designed to fit a bit further east than he had been, it still looked a nice place to relax. If that damn mimic would ever let him be. "Hello?" he called out, upon entering.
"This place is rather new, isn't it?" New places always deserved a visit by an undisguised Specchio, and this was no different. He followed the doctor in, having abandoned the cat form he was in and now was in his usual, human shape.

Eira Watch me bath the world in ice, my own wonderland..... Eira perked up as she heard a voice, hoping off the counter she walked over, her crystal ice warm and kind. " Hello there good sir, welcome to my shop. My name is Eira, i am the owner of this establishment" she said warmly. She brushed a strand of her white hair from her face, it complimenting her pale skin color. She was excited to have her first customer. " so how are you today my good sirs?" she asked and waited for the reply. .....Dont mess with the queen of ice.

"Why, I believe I'm feeling quite enchanted," Specchio replied, giving a wide grin. After all, best to keep those preparing your food happy about themselves.
"Oh, would you behave yourself for once?" Fleischer huffed. He wanted to try to relax before having to go back, not try to put up with the mimic trying to flirt the best service out of this girl. "I would just like something sweet to eat. What would you recommend? I am not picky."

She laughed softly at the other gentlemen’s comment, he was a charmer it seemed. “I suppose that line works on most women you encounter?” she said and shook her head. It had been some time since she had last interacted with humans, or whatever this one was. She blinked her soft eyes and looked to the other man.
“Well for such a charmer you don’t seem to be a gentlemen, after all a lady has given you her name and you failed to return the gesture” she told him before smiling. “ But you sir…. You seem tense, I recommend some of my herbal tea, a big slice of cake and an if you like…. A ear to fill with what’s on your mind” she told him with a smile. She told him before moving to the display case. She didn’t mind giving out sample so her customers could pick something they enjoyed. She picked out various squares of cakes before pouring a tray of tea. She smiled and gestured to the table before setting the tray down.

"Oh, it works on all of them," Specchio replied, mocking a sagely nod. "Even you! My goal was to make you laugh, and laugh you did," he added, regaining his broad grin. So quick to pick out any perceived faults. That was fine. "Ah, you must forgive me, it is not often I am in the presence of true ladies and gentlemen. You may call me Specchio."
Fleischer almost smiled, the gesture only serving to make him look more tired than anything. "Thank you," he said, before taking a seat. He resisted the urge to shove the shapeshifter away when he took the seat next to him. "I apologize, it is not something I wish to speak about." Or think about, for that matter.

Eira Watch me bath the world in ice, my own wonderland..... She shook her head and smiled, the man sure was something. “Ah so you are a jester of sorts? How amusing. “She said with another soft laugh. She placed a plate in front of each of them and a napkin aside it. “I do hope you two enjoy my cakes, here are some samples of what I made this morning. You can order when you find one you like” she told them warmly.
Eira smiled and nodded to them. “And you good sir?” she asked him, liking to know who she was in discussion with. “If something ails you then my sister just opened a clinic down the way. I am sure she would be able to help you. Maybe give you something to help you rest more?” she asked, noting the tired gesture. She poured both of them a hot cup of tea before pouring herself one. “Ah… well if you feel a need to rant I am free… nothing really going on at the moment. On my honor I do not gossip “she let him know. Eira always had a soft spot for this looking in need of help. Poor man seemed trouble; she looked back at his friend and smiled. She took her tea back to the counter to give them space. It had been years since she had been around mortals, she was curious if she was making the right moves. She shook her head and sighed. I must be getting rusty… this place is far too warm… perhaps I shall give them a cool treat She wondered as she looked around. .....Dont mess with the queen of ice.

"When it suits me," Specchio replied, tilting his head to the right slightly. An interesting woman, and it was a bit difficult working out what sort of race she was from.
She wanted to know his name as well, did she? Oh, what could it hurt? "Fleischer." At the mention of a new clinic, the old human sighed and dropped his gaze. Not even a week ago, it would have been competition that he would have had dealt with. Now... What was the point? He couldn't keep his open any longer.
Time to stop this before it got out of hand. "I am sorry for my friend's dour mood. The doctor here has recently taken a few too many knocks to his pride. Oh, but yes, thank you for the tea and samples." The shapeshifter took a drink of the tea and declared, "Ahh, delicious."
Some part of him that still felt it wrong to be rude in polite company caused him to take up his cup, and give the tea a taste as well. "It is quite good, thank you."

She nodded and smiled a bit; smoothing the white dress she wore before sipping her tea. The two were interesting, she couldn’t shake the feeling something was wrong. Not really my business, best not to pry. She told herself before smiling at them again.
She smiled and bowed her head at him. “ Nice to meet you Fleischer. “ she told him warmly. Out of all of her sisters she liked to think she had the best manners, well a tie between her and Ceara. She smiled and nodded “Are you sure you are ok hun?” she asked, she liked helping but found all her years away had made her rusty. “Anything you need?” she asked warmly.
She blinked in surprise when the other man mentioned he was a doctor and nodded “ oh dear me… I do hope I haven’t said the wrong thing. I am not from around here you see. “ She explained. “ why thank you, I use fresh herbs I pick daily, all of this is made daily. It’s nice having the smell of fresh baked goods in the air” she said and smiled more.
She turned back to the other man and smiled, the doctor liked the tea as well it seemed. “ I could give you some leaves to brew yourself. My sister is more of a healer type than a doctor though.” She told him, her blue eyes observing the two. “You two may come by anything, I doubt you will ever find this place closed” she said warmly. “ I do hope it isn’t too cold in here for you gentlemen, I tend to like the cold. Like I said I'm not from around here… Used to chatty people” she said and laughed before growing quiet and sipping her tea. Maybe less talking would be better for business… not that I actually have need for human currency. She mused to herself and waited to see if they desired anything else.

What a kind woman. It was a pity she set up shop in this city. "I appreciate your sympathy, but there is simply nothing that can be done." Not to mention the fact they had just met each other, which meant he couldn't trust her. He didn't know enough about her to make any predictions on what she might do, either. Fleischer chose to try one of the cakes, carefully taking up one of the small squares. They were all probably delicious, but he at least wanted to try more than one before making a decision.
"Don't feel bad, mia caro. With a face like his, very few would guess him a man of medicine," Specchio teased. It was still true, to a point. Few doctors had seen as much fighting as his, and fewer still showed much evidence of it, while the old man next to him had that prominent scar on his face. "My, my, out picking herbs all by yourself, in this dangerous forest? There must be much more to you than meets the eye," the shapeshifter commented, with a wink.
Oh, of course he would have to be replaced by another magic healer. Again. "It is good you are able to create everything from scratch. Very few people these days appreciate work done with a pair of hands. And thank you for the offer, but I will decline. Keep your hard-earned herbs. I'd hate to deprive you of any of the business you deserve." So he had a slight prejudice against magic users, especially the ones that healed. At least it never interfered with anything that mattered.

Eira Watch me bath the world in ice, my own wonderland..... Eira nodded at him, he seemed like such a nice man. She wondered what was causing him such discomfort. She wasn’t quite sure what to say, people had been easier to talk to in other areas. She bit back a sigh and nodded before setting her cup down. Her soft eyes glanced away from the duo and decided to throw herself into work and leave them be.
She forced a smile up at the other man teasing the doctor and nodded. She stayed quiet as she cleaned the counter she had been sitting on. She tended to clean when upset or something was bothering her. At the moment she wondered what had changed in the world through the years, this place seemed to seep with misfortune. Perhaps there was something to be done. When he commented about there being more to her she bit back a laugh. More than you will know sir… She mused. “ What woman in this day and age doesn’t have more to her than what she seems. Good advice is never judge a book by its cover” she said with a laugh.
She could feel the mood change a bit and frowned, she had been trying to help. She glanced back to the counter she was polishing yet again and nodded. “Ok…” she said softly and looked for more things to clean. Note to self… do not try talking with customers in this place She told herself for future patrons. She fidgeted with the items on the counter, centering the register before moving it again. Eira now wondered if she had made a mistake in setting up a shop. Maybe stretching her wings would help clear her mind later. .....Dont mess with the queen of ice.

Specchio frowned a bit as their hostess seemed to become more and more disheartened, herself. "Doctor, your foul mood is becoming contagious."
"Then we should change subjects. Who else wants to talk about what is bothering them?" Fleischer sighed, that had sounded more harsh than he meant. "I... I will take this one," he said, nudging a more vanilla flavored square. "I apologize, this is not normally how I behave."
"No, normally he comes off as much more angry than depressed," the shifter joked.
"...Really?"

Eira Watch me bath the world in ice, my own wonderland..... Eira shook her head when Specchio said that “No its fine “ she said softly, glancing back down at the counter. She stayed quiet as she organized more items around her work space, centering and making it look more presentable.
She bit her lip a bit as he said that, fidgeting with a container before using a rag to polish it a bit. She nodded at him and washed her hands before moving to the cake. She cut a slice of it and placed it a plate with a fork. With a somewhat forced smile she sat the plate down in front of the two. “ Can I get you something sir?” she asked the other man.
She had decided not to comment about how sometimes talking helped, it wasn’t her business. Nor did she want to get snapped at, she shook her head and went back to polishing metal utensils and containers. Setting herself to work to remain quiet. The air around her seemed to drop a bit in temperature, so she inched back further as to not freeze her customers. Next customer I will just ask if they would like some tea or cocoa…. She mused. “does it ever snow here “ she wondered aloud to herself as she cleaned. “It is find sir, I had no right prying, pardon my behavior. Just call if you need anything else” she said softly before picking up another vase to clean. .....Dont mess with the queen of ice.

Damn, he was really making a fool of himself, wasn't he? It was so frustrating for the man to not be in control of his emotions like this. To the point where it was even effecting others. It was just going to continue to snowball if it kept going on like this. Fleischer decided it would be best if he just shut up and ate. He probably didn't have much time left, anyway.
It really was time to switch subjects, all these negative feelings were starting to wear thin. "What is your favorite cake, Eira?" Specchio asked, using her name to better grab hold of her attention.
