So I found this article on Life Hacker, How to Stop Working and Go Home at Night. confused I did not know people had such a hard time doing this question rolleyes This article is loosely related to this forum, at best, because of step one. mrgreen I have not family to go home too. Then again, I could teach my kitty to use the phone. whee Anyway, I honestly wonder why people have such a hard time going home. I mean it is one thing when you love your job. I can understand it then. However, when you are working to work. I honestly don't understand how people can just not go home. I mean that shows a serious time management problem on your end. Then again, I guess I do work in a slightly more lax job and have more security than most. Anyway, thoughts? xp If anything I have incentive to go home because co-workers kids start funneling by in the afternoon.

Well, the US is one of the most over worked nations, so I suppose this phenomena can't be to unusual. It does seem silly, though.

So very very true. I really hate how overworked the US is.... granted if I liked my job I could work for 12 hours.

Heh. I doubt I could muster that much enthusiasm. Maybe if i just had to work 3 days a week... Jeez, just thinking about this makes me appreciate those fabled internet, stay at home jobs that require about 3 hours a day.

Those jobs kind of exist. You know, make a blog and fill it with ads. However, you know time is relative. There have been times when I have played video games for 12 hours and not even noticed it... till dehydration kicks in.

lol, yeah, i could see getting wrapped up in a job if it involved playing video games all day. And I guess I wouldn't mind doing long hours for a job if it involved working outdoors a lot.

I had no idea that some people had it that bad. I am guilty of gaming for that long also but I cut it down since I'm trying to get healthy. Also I had a giant water bottle nearby to stave off dehydration.

I won't allow myself to play unless I workout it gives me incentive to workout.

eek Those must be early days when you are really excited to play a game. Lucky for me I get frustrated with most every game I play. When that pissed off time comes whee I go workout.

While we're on the subject of video games, I have a question. Since I'm looking into buying a ps1 or ps2 because all the recent games/ systems are super expensive, are there any games you guys suggest checking out? I'm a bit of an RPG lover, but I'll give most games some thought. Mindless fighting games/ racing games kind of annoy me though... except for Smash Bros., because you can just make up your own story. smile

mrgreen I know a lot about this kind of stuff. I say get a PS2, because a PS2 can play PS1 games. Plus there are about a billion random RPGs for the PS2. Hmmm let me see... off the top of my head... Persona 3Persona 4MS SagaAr tonelicaAr Tonelica 2Final Fantasy XXenosagaXenosaga 2Xenosaga 3Phantom BraveDisgaea (can you get to level 9999?)Disgaea 2Shadow HeartsShadow Hearts CovenantShadow Hearts New World.hack Infection.hack Mutation.hack Outbreak.hack Quarantine (All these games allow you to import characters from previous games).hack GU Rebirth.hack GU Reminiscence.hack GU RedemptionBaroquePhantom BraveAtelier IrisAtelier Iris 2Atelier Iris 3Mana KhemiaMana Khemia 2 Just to name a few. I know I have at least 15 more random RPGs for my PS2. Plus if you can get a PS1 memory card you have all the random RPGs for that one as well. So yes you want a PS2.

Damn that's a lot... I mean darn that's a lot. Yeah, I've done a little research on classic games for PS2 and PS1, There's definitely way more than is available for the game cube eek I'll probably go for the cheaper ones.

crying Poor gamecube so under appreciated. The best part about the PS2 is that it had so many of these RPGs released on it that you can find a lot of them for less than $10.... confused Well... not many of the ones I mentioned. Those were either super successful or flopped so bad that you can still find new copies today. Anyway, yes PS2 has a much more vast game library.

I'm suprized none of the tales series were mentioned. (they hold a soft spot in my heart due to ToS) Then again, on popular RPG lists they're not exactly popular.
