i was watching a video in my cultural anthropology class called the hunters. a lot of animals were killed for food that i wouldnt normally eat. but watching these animals be killed and the expressions on their face made me feel pretty bad, since i like a lot of animals more than most people. thus im going to try the vegetarian thing. i know im a p***y. any of you kids who already are have any suggestions? so far all ive been told is to eat a lot of vegetables to make up for the protiens im going to be losing for not eating meat.

skittles aren't technically vegitarian, because of gelatin, but i didn't stop eating gelatin either until a year or so ago.
good things about being vegan: fruit smoothies, red vines, dark chocolate, cinnamon life, celery and peanut butter, JUICES!!!, rice, stif fry, really elaborate salads, soup, bread, hummus, tabouli, burritos, chocolate soy milk
good things about being vegetarian that i miss a lot: pizza, lots of candy things, lots of store made things (waffles and such)
being vegan's really tough and i don't think it's the best decision i could have made at this point, since i'm generally stressed anyways and worrying about my food is probably the last thing i need.
i really just needed to let that out. i'm not sure whether it's relevant or not. but yeah, don't let anybody scare you into thinking that there's not going to be much for you to eat. eating vegetarian is really easy.

I'm working my way to being vegetarian. But it's so ******** hard when my parents are on that atkin's diet where they eat meat for the main item. It sucks. But I rarely it red meat and stick more to the white meat. Maybe when I get to college I'll turn full vegetarian.

Haha, niiiice Mason. I remember you saying to some kid last year, "You're wearing a white belt, you better not be a ******** vegan." No but seriously, this is an awesome choice dude. there are so many choices for vegetarian/vegan foods, and there's a vegan store up in Northwood I think that I've been to a few times even though it's pretty sketchy. Anyway, I pretty much just take vitamins and then eat a lot of fake bacon (that tastes like real bacon) & fake hot dogs & s**t like that, when I can afford it.
Also come to my house and I can cook a lot of vegetarian foods. Or give you recipes that take about $10 & 10 minutes.

Also come to my house and I can cook a lot of vegetarian foods. Or give you recipes that take about $10 & 10 minutes. theres also a health food store in dover right by 6th st. right off of main st. i would never eat fake bacon. i cant even stand the taste of real bacon. alice from weirdland I tired to stop eating beef but it didn't work gonk . But now I'm trying to stop eating pork since it's nasty s**t to start with 3nodding I hate all pork products including bacon i hadn't eaten a pig product since 2nd grade, then last year got a little curious and tryed sausage, it still tastes disgusting and am still staying far away from it. what im worried about is getting fat, cause i hear if all i eat is pasta and s**t thats what will happen. so im trying to do my best up at school right now with other stuff. fruits, veggie burgers, salads, and candy. it dosent seem hard at all to me though, i always thought it would be so tough till i actually tryed it. ive been asking people who have been vegetarians for a while diet tips and how to say healthy with avoiding meat and have been getting a lot of good advice. they also told me after a few months even looking at meat ill probobly get grossed out by it.

You may not get sick, but you will definitely get fat by eating that way. Trust me, I know firsthand. I've been a vegetarian off and on for 15 years, and for the better part of the 90's that's how I ate. Lots of pasta, pizza and junk food. I was 155 lbs when I graduated from high school, and at one point I was up to almost 240 lbs.

Just remember to not just eat a lot of one thing. It's super hard sometimes to not have a diet entirely made of starches. Meals should have lots of different colors, cause that means more different vitamins and minerals! Try not to also allow your diet to revolve around nothing but mass-produced soy products. Oh yeah and vegweb.org is yr new best friend!
