Anybody heard of Tactics? It's another anime/manga created by Sakura Kinoshita and Kazuko Higashiyama (name somehow sounds familiar from a certain anime?). heart Chinomiya Kantaro is an unpopular folklorist in public, but he works as a monster buster secretly. He has been looking for a Tengu that is said to be far stronger than Oni. One day, when he went to exorcize monsters, he finally found the shrine that sealed the "Tengu, the Oni eater", and liberated Shunka. Since then, they've worked together. Although they often have quarrels, their relation began to change solving various problemsTo tell you the truth, the anime had too many fillers... I have to find the manga and read it! I hope it's satisfying!

I haven't read it, but my friend who did said it's really good. Maybe I'll check it out at the library sometime! =)

Seen it, and read 4 volumes of it. =) I liked both, the anime for its... atmosphere, and the manga for its wackiness.
Funny thing, though, I couldn't stop comparing Tactics and MaLoki! crying It sort of diminished the fun...

chocolate_dipped Seen it, and read 4 volumes of it. =) I liked both, the anime for its... atmosphere, and the manga for its wackiness. Funny thing, though, I couldn't stop comparing Tactics and MaLoki! crying It sort of diminished the fun... O_O Now I MUST read the manga! =O

I heart Tactics. I've only read the first three books, and plan on watching the anime soon. Kantaro looks like Loki! whee

zoanthia I heart Tactics. I've only read the first three books, and plan on watching the anime soon. Kantaro looks like Loki! whee Seeeeeee...... We compare Kantarou to Loki, not the other way round. My friend who read Tactics first compares Loki to Kantarou... crying I find it makes it less fun, because I'm constantly thinking about MaLoki. *weeps*

I think the first 2 books are out in english. I compare loki to kataro though. Though my friend compares it the other way around. Quite an amusing conversation. xd
