Irritatingly empty. Just as the team room had been. The hell was taking them so long? What did three idiots running around in human lives have to do that would hinder them being on time? Hands shoved themselves in pockets as large eyes scanned the deserted training area with annoyance, brows lowered. The fools were already making him look bad. Three years and still they were acting like children. Feet moved across the ground, black cloak shifting loosely around calves wrapped in white strips of cloth. It would be hard to deny the excitement he'd felt upon being informed of the latest tournament. Hunting stray humans was a dull job unsuited for a youkai of his stature, and it'd been too long since he'd destroyed a stadium. Days melted together into years of mindless training and the Jaganshi had grown tired of it.
So he muttered a few choice curses to himself, settled on the steps of the building to wait for whatever idiot might pass by. Preferably one that he could take his aggression out on.

Sen had noticed someone outside, waiting at the training ground, and so,she thought it might be someone wanting to apply to a team. She entered the training ground and walked towards the man who sat on the steps, stopping at a fair distance. "Hello. Are you looking for a team to join?" her voice was calm yet bold, not knowing that the person she was addressing to was already member of a team, nor the rank he had. "If you'd like to join a team, my team is three members short." she ended her speech with a confident smile.

Red eyes lifted to follow the movements of a girl approaching, though he didn't bother to rise just yet. Arms folded over the breadth of his chest as she spoke, and he openly scanned her over. A dark brow shot up to partially bury under a crisp, white bandanna. "You can't be serious." As if anyone wouldn't know who he was and what team he was on? "Who the hell are you?" Probably some low class human. Or was she youkai? Finally he stood, approaching a few feet to eye her more closely and allow his senses to pick up any trace of youkai energy.

At seeing him approach,Sen made one step back "Um..well, I'm sorry if I insulted you somehow..." she still spoke boldly, taking a look at the person before her. He wasn't too far from being her hight. " I'm Sen Moragami. I'm at Makai for the first time...so I'm sorry for any confusion. Assuming you're part of a team allready." She waved her hands lightly as to gesture that she has no clue as to why he's become angry.

A human. It surprised him to see one here, particularly with how rarely humans survived in the Makai. His bandaged right hand moved to rest at the hilt of his katana, sheathed on his hip. "I see." Low voice flowed over the climbing breeze, ruffling the edges of his cloak and tugging at thick, black and white hair. The sword hadn't been drawn just yet, if he planned at all to pull it. Instead he watched her carefully, angled red eyes fixed with precision. "What does a human want with a tournament among youkai?"

She noticed the man before her place one hand over the hilt of his katana, but tried not to give any attention to his gesture, though she felt a shiver run down her spine. "..Well, I came to this tournament in hope of getting a perspective on how demons act and live.. I'm here more for personal research, rather then fighting.. But if I get the chance to become somewhat stronger,I'll make use of such an occasion" she had sensed that he was a demon a while ago. Her training at the shrine had given her the ability to tell if any creature was a demon or was possessed by one. But at seeing him,she couldn't tell for sure, what kind of a demon he was. At first glance, she would assume he was a fire demon, still, something was different about him from any other fire demons she's encountered at the temple. "What is your name?" she asked yet again boldly, this time calming down,as she didn't seem to feel any great hostility coming from him.

Both brows rose a fraction of an inch at her response. Fingers loosened on the hilt and his palm rested there lazily. "What use has a human in learning of our kind?" He was skeptical and it carried on his tone. From his experience, most humans only cared to know of Makai creatures if it served them in some way. The Black Black Club came to mind. His sister in particular and what had been done with her.
Eyes narrowed with obvious distrust. "Hiei." He wasn't interested in fanciful titles and so he gave none, only willing to relinquish his given name. Whether she knew it or not, he didn't seem to care. "I'm here to win, so don't get in my way."

Seeing him being skeptic towards her intention made her deduct that he probably had had some unpleasant encounters with humans,in the past. "I want to know more about demons, first, because I disagree with a concept that I've been thought by my fellow humans, and second, because I've always felt a calling towards the demon world.. I can't really put it in words, but for some reason,I feel that if I would understand this place better and learn to survive it trough,Makai might turn out to be a better place for me." she watched the demon all the while as she spoke.
Sen still couldn't tell exactly what kind of a demon he was,and that only arose her curiosity... yet, seeing his disposition, she decided to leave the subject for some other time,or rather to observe and try to analise this by her own. " I'm sure you are fully aware of my current condition as a fighter, you most likely sensed it" she chuckled. "So I'll take your warning rather as an welcomed advise." she turned around to walk away. "I'll leave you then. It's been nice meeting you, Hiei-san " and she proceeded towards the mansion. (leaves)

Karogane appeared on the road towards the training ground and began to walk casually with both hands at his sides. In his right had, he held his sword, sheathed and all. On his way, he passed by Sen but didn't stop to conversate. As he entered the area, he found a quiet spot and sat under a tree, legs folded, katana leaned against his shoulder, and his eyes closed. Karogane entered a meditative state as he did before every training session. It was a routine for him. Karogane preferred to train his mind before body and so far it's worked out for him. Earlier in the room he had come to the sudden realization that Team Urameshi were all of S-class or pretty damn close to it. Karogane was still a B-class and was far outmatched. If he were to survive in this tournament, he would have to do everything he could to get stronger fast. Sadly that task may be next to impossible with the short amount of time till the first round of the tournament.

Annoyed didn't begin to cover what the halfbreed felt. The room was empty. She set her things down on the bed and waited for what had seemed like forever. Very quickly, she tired of the silence. She went about the mansion only for a moment before heading to the training ground.
Immediately, she stopped and looked about the two there with a slight frown. She hadn't quite expected there to be anyone there. In its own way, however, Miyuki was glad she was not alone in the mansion. There was something comforting about that fact. She looked at the man beneath the tree before peering back to the smaller Hiei. She did not know his name or who he was. But, she had seen his work. He was famous once upon a time in the ring she used to travel. After a moment of gauging what she was up against, she shrugged lightly before removing her two tessen (The War Fans, for reference. ^-^) and beginning a simple pattern that relied little on her speed and more on her precision.

She continued to walk outside in her fox form looking for a good place to sit and think and then draw a picture. She had everything she needed in her bag; sketch pad, pencils and colors. She saw the perfect tree to sit under, it's branches were in bloom. But there seemed to already be someone under it so she kept walking and saw someone else sitting on the steps. Those steps would also be a good place to sit. "Hello, mind if I sit next to you? I'll try not to bother you because you seem so deep in thought."

Strange girl. Hiei watched her in silent contemplation as she walked away, remaining where he stood. The fingers of his right hand curled around the hilt of his sword impulsively. So be it. If she survived long enough he'd see her skills in battle and come to his own conclusions. The body spoke so much more than words could ever manage.
Eyes flickered to the small trickle of people coming into the area. Youkai were here and of varying breeds, some which he recognized. It hardly mattered either way; he was here to fight. Nothing more. Such was the way of things.
Decidedly bored once more, he moved to a tree not yet claimed and crossed arms over his chest, leaning his back to the rough bark. Funny how calm this place was, given what it was supposedly used for.

Karogane suddenly opened his eyes, and both of them began to shine bright. He slowly got up from his sitting position and moved to a crouching position with his katana still leaning against his right shoulder. He grabbed the handle of the blade, then in an instant jumped up into the tree leaving the sheath of the katana to fall to the ground. As he slung up threw the branches can came busted threw the thick leaves at the top the tree, he was surrounded by a bunch of leaved that had followed him due to the vacuum of wind created from the speed that he moved. Karogane began to swing his katana rapidly and with precision cutting each leaf directly in half. After each leaf separated in two his eyes began to shine again, and each of the pieces of leaves suddenly were ignited by a black flame that completely disintegrated them. Karogane landed back on the ground, then put his katana back in the sheath. He wasn't trying to show off, in face he completely ignored the others around him. He just trained how he normally trained.
