Wow so hard to find any wand spells in my personal library... And before you start taking the mickey, yes I do own the following book because I believe in not criticizing a book until I've read it from cover to cover.

Author: Silver RavenWolf
Title of Source: Solitary Witch: The Ultimate Book of Shadows for The New Generation
Spell Name: Empowerment Ceremony for Wands, Rods, Staves, Stangs and Brooms.

The blurb from the book (complete with printed errors):

Timing:
New Moon (unless the item will be used to specifically to banish, then choose dark moon or moon in Scorpio)

Supplies:
One Red Candle; holy water or Florida Water (SEE RECIPE PAGE 414); salt, empowering oil; incense of your choice, a carving tool or a wood burning tool, a selection of magickal symbols, a pencil (to trace the designs before you carve or use the wood burning tool; thirteen bricks or white stones, one cauldron

Pre-Ritual Preparations:
Choose and carve the magickal symbols you desire on the piece. Build your circle with the bricks or stones. When you are finished, sprinkle both wooden tool and circle with holy water or Florida Water. Libation to the Gods.

The Ritual:
Cast your circle (SEE PAGE 6) around the stone circle, which will be in the center. Place the cauldron in the stone circle. Light the fire candle and place inside the cauldron. Call the quarters. Invoke Deity. Place the wooden ritual piece inside the stone circle. Pass the four elements over the item (fire, incense, salt and holy water). Stand over the circle, raise your arms to the heavens and say:

Mistress (Master) of the Universe! I call thee forth to cleanse and consecrate this (name item). Empower this (name item) in the name of universal perfection!

Outstretch both hands towards the item.

(Name item), I conjure thee in the name of the Mistress (Master) of the universe to work all forms of magick for me! Ye shall conjure, banish, empower or cast aside negative energies as so I dictate. Ye shall overcome all obstacles in the performance of these tasks. At my very touch ye shall awaken into life in preparation for any and all magicks and respond with perfection to my very will, and you shall retain your power in fallow days when magick is not required. As I will, so it shall be!

Rub the item with holy oil, then draw an equal-armed cross in the air over the item to seal your work. Complete the ritual by offering a libation to the gods, Thank Deity. Close the quarters. Take up the circle with your finger and place the energy in the tool by directing your finger at the tool and envisioning the energy leaving your finger and entering the tool. Leave the item in the light of the following full moon for at least one hour.

So I'm reading the Odyssey and I found in book 10 Circe uses her wand to control the men she changes into pigs. It's the only thing I've found thus far that uses a wand. If I don't find anything else can I use this?

If you consider it a spell, then yes. :3

It is bloody hard to find a wand spell.

Also, I did see a few spells which say "All your altar tools" which to me could be seen as a wand-ish spell. But I rejected it because well... I don't have an altar and I don't have tools. So being that it could just be me trying to push a wand into that equation - I decided to find something else.

Sorry no awesome stupid spell from that one book this time. :<

Author: Judika Illes
Title of Source: The Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells
Spell Name: Prophetic Dreams ( 8 ) Mary Magdalene Rosemary Wand

Note: Since this is performed on a Day - particularly July 21st, and has no summoning or anything in attempts to manifest Mary Magdalene [after all it's the next day that's the feast day], I'm not considering this against my rules.

It's like spells that must be preformed on the Full moon, at least that's how I see it.

Feel free to argue otherwise.

/end note

The British dream oracleis simple to accomplish but reserved for one night only: the Eve of Mary Magdalene's feast day (The Night of July 21st).

1. Blend wine, vinegar, and water in a bowl beside your bed.
2. Soak a rosemary wand in the bowl; then gently shake off the excess liquid.
3. Place this wand between your breasts and go to bed without saying another word, to produce prophetic dreams.

QFT!

I saw a few in the book you got yours from, but none that jumped out at me from a start. I'm still looking. If I don't find something other than what I found in the Odyssey I'll use that as I do consider it a spell of sorts.

So I think this works as a wand spell, as you use a stick to draw energy into an object which is what I consider one of the roles of a wand to be. So if it doesn't work I have something else in mind

(yay having an obsession with replacing any book that I loose or sell at one time and having an extensive library)

Author: Scott Cunningham

Title of Source:Earth Power

Spell Name: A Tree Spell

Posted as written:

When you have found a tree to work magic with, take a large leaf, a charcoal tipped stick, a piece of flexible vine or natural fiber cord, and a dime to the tree.

Sitting beneath it, write or draw a symbol of your need with the stick.

Raise and walk nine times around the tree clock wise saying the following or similar words:

"Ancient one of the Earth
Older then time can tell,
Grant me the power at your command
To charge my magic spell"

Repeat as often as necessary until you have walked nine times around the tree.

When finished tie the leaf to the trunk of the tree with the vine as hard as you can. If this isn't possible find a branch and tie it on there.

When you are sure that the leaf is secure, take the dime and bury it at the foot of the tree in the earth in payments for its help. Now leave the area and let the tree do its work.

If, when you return to the tree, the leaf is gone--don't worry. The forces have always been set in motion.

Readaption 1.

Brewing Rosemary Wine - for consumption.

Now I know a few of you have probably never formally dealt with this nor have you ever had someone give you homemade wine. But it tends to be a little more ... how you say it... strong given the kind of recipe that you use.

Now I have found a few recipes for brewing a Rosemary wine - and you can eat Rosemary but you should consider this an alcoholic beverage. It also has some issues that you need to consider before you make anything with rosemary which is listed on this site (particularly pregnant mothers - though why you would be drinking this wine makes me upset in the first place).

There's several basic homemade recipes that I've found for this but you can also find books on it:

Like this one which has reviewers that complain that the wine making how to guide is too damn specific for their liking - because you can never be too specific how to make something you're going to consume am I right?

Essentially wine brewing takes a lot of time, a lot of energy, a lot of money (in some cases) and a lot of patience.

You will not be able to drink any made wine at least for 6 months or more! that I've found from people who brew wine or have brewed it (Le BF woot) mostly because it tastes horrific until it's settled down. Sometimes even if it's forgotten about in 2 years and other bottles are tasted they become much much better over time.

-----

When you brew this wine, start by attaching to the ingredients the items that you want. Rosemary is medicinally used for a lot of things from memory to other items - like inducing miscarriage.

For this particular spell, I'd probably attach the goal of having that wine bring about prophetic dreams.

I'd also make a talisman out of the bottle which will hold the wine and hold in that energy of prophetic dreams.

To consume it:

I'd drink it at night (1 glass) while bringing out the energy that I attached to it into my body.

Then I'd sleep and hope to have dreams.

This may not be as "spell-ish" as my other spells but there is a LOT of steps to wine making and at each step you should be applying energy into the materials in order to make it so that the goal is to have you (or someone else) consume it and immediately absorb that energy to boost the ability to receive prophetic dreams.

This spell can be used several different ways because it it used to charge a tool with dark energy during an Esbat. I felt it was very important not to leave out the beginning paragraph because it relates to why she does what she does. Some parts I have left out, but because this is a full Esbat Ritual.

Author: Ann Moura (Aoumiel)
Title of Source: GREEN WITCHCRAFT III -Balancing Light &Shadow-
Spell Name: -Dark Moon Ritual- Consecration of a Dark Aspect Tool

Various tools may be dedicated during a Dark Moon for use in dark aspect rituals. A gourd with seeds inside is useful for shaking during meditations that take the practitioner into other worlds. It can also be used in dark-focused rituals for calling upon the Dark Lord and Dark Lady - the God and the Goddess in their aspects of chaos, death, transformation, and passage into new life. The gourd is shaken by the crook of the neck with one hand and patted against the palm of the opposite hand in a circular fashion. Other tools that may be consecrated during a Dark Moon are the black mirror, crystal ball, Tarot decks, stones, crystals and even Familiars.
Here is a sample Green Witchcraft ritual for the Dark Moon that includes a ritual for consecrating a tool. A Craft Name is one others may know you by, but the Working Name is known only to the Witch and Divine, so if you are working with a group use your Craft Name.
Candles are set at the Quarters (North, East, South, and West) and may all be purple (inner eye), White (purification), or black (protection), (place them so they will not get knocked over or melt onto carpeting or floor), or you may want to use four rocks, gems, or stones placed at the Quarters.
Light an incense that is not overly spicy or floral, although lilac is an exception as an evening scent (some pre-packaged scents include names like Night Lady), or burn mugwort herb.
Have the following items on the alter: three purple or black candles in a triple candelabra or in separate holders (right side for the God, left side for the Goddess, and center for both), incense and burner you can carry, matches, small bowl of wayer, small dish of salt (rock or sea salt), a pentacle (best if wooden or tile), a cup or goblet containing dark fruit juice or blackberry wine (or elderberry wine, cassis liqueur, or Opal Nera, a liqueur of elder and anise), a small cauldron, a purple or black votive candle and holder, a piece of dark fruitcake, or other dark cake or bread, candle snuffer, anointing oil, knife (athame), wand, and tools to be dedicated.

Dark Moon Esbat (Beginning)

Sweep the circle deosil (N-E-S-W) with the besom (but not one made of broom or Scotch Broom if you work with an Otherworld companion; straw, grasses or leaves are fine), and say:

As I sweep this circle, may it be cleansed and made ready for my work.

Clap your hands three times, and say:

The circle is about to be cast and i freely stand within to greet my Lady and my Lord of Shadows.

If using candles at the Quarters, light them by taking the center alter candle around the circle to each Quarter candle, moving deosil (clockwise: N-E-S-W) and saying:

I call upon the Light within Earth to illuminate and strengthen the circle (envision the magma core, the molten center of the Earth).

I call upon the Light within the Air to illuminate and strengthen the circle (envision the aurora borealis, the Northern Lights formed by the Earth's magnetic field, and seen as the curtains of light in the night sky).

I call upon the Light within Fire to illuminate and strengthen the circle (envision the blue/white of the flame).

I call upon the Light within Water to illuminate and strengthen the circle (envision the blue/white lights of bio-luminescent sea creatures at night).

If using stones at the Quarters, move around the circle in the same manner, but raise up the candle at each stone and use the same invocation (a different color/type of stone for each Quarter could be used to emphasize the essence of the represented Elemental).
Return to the alter, place the candle back in its holder, take up the knife, and say:

I draw this circle in the presence of the Dark Goddess and the Dark God to be a place where they may manifest and bless their child, (Craft Name or Working Name).

Walk around the circle widdershins (counter-clockwise: N-W-S-E) with the knife lowered, envision a blue light shooting from the tip to from the circle boundary, and say:

This is the boundary of the circle in which only love shall enter and leave.

Return to the alter and put the tip of the knife into the dish of salt and say:

Salt is purification, preservation, and life. I bless this salt to be used in the cirle in the names of the Crone Goddess and the Dark God,
(Names such as Hectate and Cernunnos, or simply use those terms).

Add three portions of salt to the water bowl (you are creating "holy water"), using either the tip of the knife or your fingers, and say:

Let the blessed salt purify this water for use in this circle. I consecrate and cleanse this water in the names of the Crone and Dark Lord, _____.

Take the consecrated water bowl and sprinkle water from it around the circle, moving widdershins (N-W-E-S), and say:

I consecrate this cirfle in the names of the Crone and Dark Lord, ____. This circle is conjured a Circle of Power that is purified and sealed.

Return the bowl to the altar, take up the censor and move around the circle widdershins to cense it, then return it to the altar.

Put a drop of anointing oil on your fingertips, make a Solar Cross on your forehead, then a Lunar Spiral over the Cross, and say:

I,_____, am consecrated int he names of the Dark Lady and Dark Lord, _____, in this their circle.

Call the Quarters by taking the wand and addressing the Quarters of the circle where the candles or stones are, holding the wand aloft (or if you are dedicating a wand in the ritual, use another wand, or your power hand) with arms open at each site, and saying at the appropriate Quarter (N-W-S-E):

I call upon you Elemental Earth (Water, Fire, Air) to attend this rite and guard this circle for as I have body and strength (blood and feelings; fire of life; breath and thought), we are kith and kin!

For Elemental envisionings, you might see a wolf for Earth, an owl for Air, a phoenix for Fire, and a sea serpent for Water.

Return to the alter and use the wand, or your power hand, to draw the symbol of infinity (the figure 8 laying on its side) in the air above the alter - This is used as a symbol for working between worlds {feel free to use a different symbol if desired; one that still holds the same meaning} and set the wand down {if you are using a wand}. Pick up the knife in both hands and raise it over your head and say:

Hail to the Elementals at the Four Quarters! Welcome Lady and Lord to this rite! I stand between the worlds with love and power all around!

Next are the Libations of Greeting. pg 38 {I do not use this section because at the moment I work only with elementals}
Consecration of the Dark Aspect Tool

Using the knife, inscribe the tool with the magical symbols you have selected, and with your Craft Name in runes, ogram, or other suck alphabet used in magical practice.

Consecrate the tool to the Elementals by sprinkling it with blessed water and passing it through the incense saying:

In the names of the Dark Lady and Dark Lord, _______ , I consecrate this (name of item) to be used in my practice of the Craft. I charge this by the Elemental Earth and Elemental Water (sprinkle with salted water); by the Elemental Fire and Elemental Air (pass through the incense smoke). This tool is now by Elemental powers bound to aid me in my work. So mote it be!

Set the tool on the pentacle and say:

Great Lady and Great Lord, together in the darkness of this Moon, veiled from my sight yet seen with my inner sight, you dwell within for you are endings and new beginnings, the death that leads to new life; you are the Promise and the Love Manifested. Let this tool be imbued with your power to aid me in my dark journeys.

Light the votive candle from the center candle, and say:

Let this small light illuminate the dark path to the Realm of Shadows.
Then pick up the tool with your right hand, hold it up, and with the left hand held so the palm is parallel to the ground, say:

Lord of Shadows hidden within the Lady of Darkness, together they hold the darkness in Balance. He is the Passing, She is the Passage, together they move from life into life. With my hand in theirs, I call upon them to share their presence with me and pass dark power into this (tool) that it may be sanctified to serve me in my dark journeys.

Envision the dark energy shooting up from the ground, into the palm of the left hand, traveling through the left arm, across the shoulders into the right arm, up the right arm into the right hand, and into the tool.
Set the tool on top of the pentacle and kneel so that both palms now rest on the ground and say:

As what is sent returns, so I return to you the power so graciously sent to me. My (tool) is sanctified through Power and Grace, through flesh and blood, and made ready for my use. So mote it be!

Stand and remove the tool from the pentacle, but keep it on the alter; snuff the votive candle and say:

The path is closed; darkness returns to the Shadow Realm.

If no consecration of the tool is involved, simply leave out the parts involving the tool and invocation for the consecration of the tool and continue to the Dark Moon Esbat with what follows next.

(Basically the Cakes and Wine, Farwell the Elementals, the Lord and Lady, Ground and center, and return to your every day events)

I live by the ocean and go to school on the ocean (there are three small beaches on my school's campus) and my first adaptation came to me today. It deals with some of the same principles in the book Earth Magic so I thought I would post it.

Adapation 1:

Drift wood wish

Materials:

Driftwood
Hair or other offering

Spell:

As you walk on the beach grab a peice of drift wood.

Hold the drift wood in your hands.

Push your energy into the wood.

Draw a symbol of your wish in the sand near the water's edge

After you draw your symbol in the stand walk around the symbol nine times stating

"Sea shore sea shore close to me
Let my wish come to be"

Place the drift wood on the beach with your hair as an offering to the spirits of land and sea.

Continue on your walk

Over time the tides and people will drive your wish into the earth and sea allowing those forces of nature to manifest your will
PostPosted: Thu Feb 09, 2012 2:43 pm

Adaptation 1:

For a start I would not adhere to specific timings. I would go on instinct, when the time feels right to perform the working. I also hate overly complicated things and like to keep things simple.

Supplies:
Bucket
Ice (snow is better)
Tea lights
Incense (I would probably burn a sage, ceder and dragons blood mix)
Tool to be dedicated (wand in this instance)

Step one: make sure bucket is clean

Step two: Set incense burning and light altar candles

Step three: Fill bucket with ice/snow

Step 4: Place wand in bucket of ice/snow making sure it is fully covered. Set the tea lights on the ice and light them, put your hands on the sides of the bucket and say "With ice and fire I purify this wand."

Step 5: Visualize your energy seeping into the wand as you hold your hands on the side of the bucket. Hold the visualization for as long as possible. When you can't hold it any longer take your hands off the bucket and leave the bucket in place until the snow/ice melts. Once it's melted, snuff out and remove the tea lights (some tea lights float like floating candles) fish out the wand, dry off the wand and leave on the altar. Pour water out over the garden plants.

Readaption 2.

Blend Lavender and Rosemary together (either the leaves/flowers whole).
Wrap leaves/Flowers together in a cloth bag which is breathable (allows air to pass through).
Put under your pillow for prophetic dreams.
