Alright the theme is a little stereotypical:

Love/Romance Spells and their Opposites Break Up Spells

You can either do one or the other like normal where you deal with your adaptions based on the singular spell you chose.

However, since this is a split week, you can choose two spells and split your adaptions between the two of them however you'd like.

Do you find it odd that despite all the warnings against love spells and break up magic there are more published spells gear towards love and lust?

Spell Name: Love Charm

Perform this charm at any time to beguile the partner of your dreams.

Ingredients:
A Pink Candle
A Mirror
A Pen and A Piece of Pink Paper
A Photograph of Yourself
A Pink Ribbon

In a dimly lit room, light the candle so that its glow surrounds your reflection in the mirror. Concentrate your thoughts on your good qualities and your wish to start a new relationship. Breathe deeply and, as you exhale, let your fears and doubts leave your body. After a few moments, draw the image of your new love on the pink paper. Place it beside your photograph, and with the pink ribbon, lace the two together so that they both lie flat. Draw them together with the ribbon and with your mind. Hold the joined pictures in front of the mirror so that the image is reflected back and chant:

My inner doubts are now set free,
My heart is open come to me.
Let the future joy unfold,
Happiness and love untold.

Blow out the candle and watch fro any images in the mirror; you may see a different person from the one you imagine. Fold the pictures together and place them in a safe place.

My Gripes:

On Sky Magic:

The fact that you say, perform the spell on a windy day, and all of this environmental stuff (time you won't be disturbed, during a waning moon, etc) says to me that you start this outside under moonlight.

However, if you think about how specific she's being about the ":stress free atmosphere" because you burned some rose oil - on a windy day you wouldn't be able to smell it let alone burn it because the wind would keep the candles blowing out.

Likewise the cutting up paper would be blowing like crazy.

And sure it sounds like what she had meant to say was, when you go to release these items you should do it during -such and such- a time. But I consider the construction, writing, and other aspects she's talking about as part of the performance of a spell.

- Essentially this is "breaking up" with the past hurt of a lover

@ Love Charm

This charm is supposed to "beguile the partner of your dreams" at any time.

However the charm focuses on new love. Not current relationship love - that's a bit misleading in my opinion because you could be in a relationship WITH your partner.

Furthermore the instructions are vague, and easily misunderstood and quite frankly, I don't think I even get it. xD

So you are using a spell card deck for your source?

One more thing I am thinking about:

Have you found many if any spells dedicated towards encouraging and strengthening already blossoming love? The only spells in that area I found were either marriage or fertility rites based on the idea you were already committed and just wanting a nudge into the next step.

As long as they do not invoke (ie bring down the abilities/aspects, or demand a deity's intervention) then they should be fine. I probably should be more explicit with this in the main thread as well.

For example: Venus's Day - Friday would be ok, or talking about a holiday in Venus's honor. But explicitly invoking a deity shouldn't occur.

Spell Name: Switch lovers spell

Use a red and black double-action candle to get rid of one lover while simultaneously drawing another

1. Carve the name of the lover you'd like to see vanish onto the black wax

2. Carve the name of the lover you'd now like to have onto the red wax

3. If necessary, carve the bottom of the candle, exposing the wick so that both ends may be burnt at the same time.

4. Stick the candle horizontally onto a spiked candle stick, or pierce the border between red and black with a long pin, something like an old fashioned hat pin then balance the candle over a bottle and burn both ends simultaneously.
