I've been trying to mull this one over on my own but kinda stumped. My girlfriend and I are in a long distance relationship and sometimes I go to her place and sometimes she comes to stay at my place.
But come bedtime she's a major cuddler, falling asleep with her arm and leg wrapped around me and she seems to do just fine. But with me I can't get to sleep at all that way and start getting overheated and uncomfortable really quick. I sleep best back to back with her or beside her with a little bit of space between us.
I'm just wondering if there's a way to let on that I can't quite get comfortable without hurting her feelings or should I just keep sneaking out of her hold once she goes to sleep. >>;

Just tell her that you love the cuddling and what not.. But you get overheated. Not to mention, men tend to have a higher core temperature that women do. I think if your honest, she'll understand you. Or maybe you two could sleep without the covers oh? Lol

Yeah, I'd say just be honest. A lot of people can't fall asleep when someone is touching them. I'm one of those people. I can't share a pillow, I can't share a blanket, and I can't have anyone touching me!

I like to cuddle with my husband for a while but after a bit I need my space. He's a lot bigger than I am so his muscles aren't very comfortable after a while and its like, "Agh! Go away!" So, its best to be honest.

My partner and I will cuddle, but he overheats too so sometimes he'll put a blanket between his chest and my back, for example, or he'll keep his arm on top of the covers to give him that touchspot to use to cool down. When we fall asleep we usually face opposite directions, but sometimes we'll have our backs together with a sheet between us, so he doesn't overheat but we can still feel each other there.
Like others have said, just be honest with your partner. There's ways to compromise if you both think about it. 3nodding

Yes, just talk to her about it. My husband is the same way.

My boyfriend and I do quite great except when we go camping and I forget my pillow, I guess I have the tendency to take his and throw it across the tent sweatdrop

Don't worry, she'll get over it. She cares about your comfort. 3nodding
