Recruitment has been slow to stay the least. Looking around, it seems most SM Guilds have this problem. In the last year, I haven't seen any that are actively RPing for more then a month. (Thats being generous)

So my thought is this.

Lets forget RP and focus on Fan-fiction and Fan-Art.

What this would mean:

1. Our primary goal would be the generation of Lore, Artwork and Stories.

2. Instead of trying to recruit people to play individual characters, characters would belong to the Guild as a whole, and anyone may use them in RP, Lore or Artwork.

3. We would still meet Monday nights to discuss lore and Guild Business.

4. RP would still be allowed, but as more of an afterthought, and RPrs would be allowed to use any character in our arsenal.

5. Materials would still be reviewed by crew to make sure it matches lore agreed apon by the guild.

6. Filling a long roster would no longer be a concern.

7. If you already have a character you love, we won't stop you from running around as that character. Just don't be surprised to see yourself pop up in fan-fiction and artwork. wink

lol. Don't see why we'd name change. We'd still be writing about the Rainbow Senshi...

Yeah, I dunno. I'm just soooo sick of trying to recruit, and constant recruit tred mill. The guilds are all so dead that it seems impossible to keep a full roster like we would want as a RP guild.

If we treat it less like a RP guild, and more as a FanFiction/FanArt guild, then we don't need a full roster. If we don't have individuals tied to individual characters, we don't have to scrap and redo a character everytime someone gets bored.

I do understand those left don't want their characters molested. I'm kinda hesitant to let people play Sailor Black Moon too. -huggles her- So I wouldn't be opposed to letting existent active members keep ownership of their characters. New members however would only "rent" characters. We could also reward stewardship to those that make significant contributions and who are consistently active.

I dunno. we need to do something. And frankly I think the SM RP Guild model is kinda dead. I'd love to see RPs going, but I'm not sure it's a viable long term strategy to focus on them.

hmmm yeha I was afraid of that. If we do this, we're going to have to somehow account for this concern. We'll have to discuss this some more Monday night.

Well we discussed it further, made some adjustments, and it looks like we can move forward with this.


1. First thing we're going to do is establish the Guardian Sprites.
Guardian sprites and the spirit and guardian of their Senshi.

This new Job will be a non-crew position. If the guild lore is a movie, our guardians are the producers and directors. They also have the unique privilege of having a character dedicated to their use. Use of these characters require permission from the appropriate Guardian. The following members have already been promoted to this position on the basis of seniority and activity.:

Sailor Black Moon
Sailor Green
Sailor Blue
Sailor Pink
Sailor Grey (Rosetta)

Any additions will be rare and require a great deal of contribution to the guild. More details here


2. All other characters may be used by anyone in RP and Story writing. But any content will need to be reviewed by the Guardians before being added to our continuity. This doesn't have to happen untill after a RP/Story is done. If changes need to be made, the creator will have the option to make them or scrap the content.

3. Anyone may create a character, but all characters must be approved by the Guardians, particularly magical ones. Non-magical characters will be approved most of the time, but magical ones are only added as needed.

4. Anyone may create a story, but all stories must be approved by the Guardians.

5. Once created and approved, characters and stories are the property of the Guild and will remain part of our lore even if their creator goes inactive. For the most part however, it will be our goal that fleshed out characters be portrayed as originally intended by it's creator, and stories



The goal is to make it as easy as possible for members to generate stories and other content for the guild, without offending the few of you that are left and want to keep playing your characters. -crosses fingers-
