Ara was very excited about her newest piece. It was mostly on a flat wall of rock, with a few dusky oranges and black. Overall it was a most excellent painting of the sunset. She was not normally one for landscapes, but the mood had stricken and who was she to deny it? It was one thing to get stuck grasping for ideas and quite another to ignore ones that came readily to the fore of ones mind. It was far from finished of course, Ara hated anything with only a couple of colors. It brought back the fear of being colorblind that plagued her as a foal, that she had only accidentally stumbled upon a solution for. It was strange that she was only afflicted in the one eye, but who was she to question the spirits?
"Ah, I think it needs some green or something...maybe I can turn it into a background? Hmm..." she mumbled to herself.
With a shrug, she decided it could wait 'til the morning when she would return with more paint. It was uncomfortable after a while to clench her paintbrushes so firmly in her teeth and annoying to see the teeth marks she left in the handles. It was always such a pain to find more, since she lived nowhere near the Kawani and did not travel that way very often.
