It is the year 10,417, in the distant Nair Bennu Galaxy. The lost and scattered remnants of mankind have been unified under the all powerful Tien Keldsich High Council, and are slowly beginning to rebuild their once great empire. They are locked in a desperate struggle against the Gholum, twisted, mechanical abominations who rose up against humanity thousands of years ago, and have driven us to the edge of extinction. Three weeks ago, an artefact created by the mysterious race known only as the builders was unearthed on Bothalvi XVII. The technology of the builders is advanced, and the secrets locked away in the artefact could very well decide the fate of the human race. You are part of a small specialist team, made up from soldiers, scientists and civilians, and have been sent by the council aboard the CXSS Perossa, to study and recover the artefact. Though your group was assembled and sent off under the utmost secrecy, a tribe of pirates has been closely monitoring your progress... <<>>

<<>> All members must follow the Gaia Online Terms of Service. Any violations will be reported as soon as we see them. This means (but isn't limited to) no overly graphic descriptions of violence, and absolutely no cybering. Romance, and violence, in and of themselves are fine, but remember this is a PG-13 site. Keep it clean.
Everything needs to be readable. A spelling mistake here and there isn't the end of the world, but we need to be able to understand what you're saying. If you have trouble with grammar, then you can use Google Chrome as your web browser, it comes with an automatic spell checker. In the interests of keeping everything readable, use the default text size, colour, and alignment. Coloured font might make your posts look more attractive, but they don't do anything to make them look better. Don't worry about decoration, worry about content. Make sure you put an extra space between your paragraphs, and that you start a new paragraph every time the subject changes, there's a new action, or someone else speaks.
There is a plot we have planned for this Roleplay, but for the most part, it's pretty free-form. God-Modding isn't allowed, though both myself and Lost Lady Ryssa have the authority to step in, if we feel that things have become too derailed.
There's no post size requirement. The length should depend on the context. If you're writing a highly detailed action sequence, then it's fine to go on for a few paragraphs. If you're just doing something simple like talking to someone, a few sentences are all that you need. They don't describe every single detail in a book, so you don't need to feel pressured to do it here.
Posting artwork is fine, provided that you drew it yourself, or that you have the artist's permission to use it. Only post it once though, a visual aid is fine, but more than that and it just becomes meaningless clutter.

<<>> To join the Starfall roleplay, all you need to do is post your character's profile in the thread. Just to make everything nice and easy to find, I'll also copy it into the Personnel section. As long as your character fits within the previously established lore (so no vampires, super-heroes, or aliens) you can pretty much customize him or her as you see fit. There are some restrictions though, first, you need to make a character who has some reason to be aboard the CXSS: Perossa, and you can only be from one of the Tien Keldsich clans (except, Katenetu, for storyline reasons). If you want to make a clan from scratch, then you can just select Oneen, they're made up of dozens of diverse cultures, so you can really get as creative as you like. You can include as much detail as you see fit, but for your profile to be considered valid, you must provide the following information. Username: Character name: Gender: Age Clan: Occupation:
Bio: (this is optional)

<<>> Combat between two different characters (PCs, or NPCs) is probably going to crop up a lot in Starfall. Because I want to avoid god-modding as much as possible, we'll be using a nice and easy dice system. If two or more characters want to compete against one another physically, then first all of the involved players need to consent to a challenge. Refusing a challenge usually means that your character backs down, or retreats, this is ususally going to have some sort of consequence later on. Once all players agree, the person who initaited the challange rolls a D6 with his or her post. 1 is a serious defeat. 2 is a minor defeat 3 is a minor defeat 4 is a minor victory 5 is a minor victory 6 is a complete victory
I like this system, because it lets everyone have an equal chance, regardless of power-gaming. Obviously this can lead to some... unexpected results. Try and get creative, and don't be upset of you roll badly and die. That's just part of the game. This is still an untested system, so I may change or modify it, based on player feedback.

The early origins of humanity are mostly shrouded in myth, and legend. As such, different clans have radically different accounts of our arrival in the Nair Bennu galaxy. Some insist that our people were once criminals, and other undesirables, exiled from our native galaxy. Several of the more more popular theories state that our precursors were rebels, fleeing from a series of tyrants or some sort of galactic wide conflict. There is no scientific consensus, the sole point that various experts, such as myself, can agree on is that humanity is not native to this Galaxy. None of the archivists can find a single mention our original homeworld, however records saved from Ol-Dia, our first colony, indicate that our ancestors terraformed it over the course of several hundred years. These events occurred approximately 10,000 standard years ago. Surviving historical accounts from Ol-Dia are scarce. One such record indicates that the planet was chosen because of it's similar gravity and distance from the sun as our homeworld. When the colony ship landed, it was presumably dismantled and used to construct the original settlement. An early document detailing the launches of some of the first sunlight redirection satellites indicates that we did not regain the ability to break past Ol-Dia's gravity until well over a century Almost half a millennium had past before we were able to stumble across the Star Lanes orbiting the primary sun. Once they were located, however, they became the subject of our ancestor's obsession. In those early days, before the development of the Tegotai Drive, travel inside a star systems could take many months, and it was not until approximately a decade later that a probe was created that could cross through the wormhole. The discovery of the Star Lanes was a proud and momentous event for our people, but it also raised two very important questions. Who built them, and how do they work? These are questions that, even today, we cannot definitively answer. Star Lanes are a series of wormholes that are powered by a group of satellites, orbiting a star. When properly activated, they are able to instantly transport a vessel to a corresponding Star Lane in a distant solar system. The satellites appear to be similar to the Anchors, they are both a grafting of bio-matter, and technology, though debate rages on whether they can considered 'alive'. The reason why it took the colonists of Ol-Dia so long to discover was the satellite network's close proximity to the sun, it was only a complete chance that a passing probe detected one of them, seconds before it was about to slingshot around the sun and head towards the system's outer planets. The discovery was a huge cultural shock, though even by then we were aware of alien life, we had never before found any indication of other intelligent life. Even to this day, our scientists are no closer to uncovering the mystery behind their creation. It seems, like Tien Keldsich itself, their true purpose will forever elude us. The discovery was a turning point in our history, and propelled scientific interest into deep space exploration. The first series of probes returned with footage of dozens of new star systems, and hundreds of new worlds. Though it was an infinitesimally low fraction of the space we now have charted out, it created a new-found sense of awe, and wonder towards the Nair Bennu galaxy. Manned scout ships were quickly built, as new telemetry began to pour in, larger frigates were built to construct new and permanent outposts in alien systems. Soon after, the first colony ships began to leave the dry docks, and our people were no longer constrained to one world. Over the next several thousands of years, our people began to carve out a small empire, of roughly one hundred worlds. It is around this time that the first true artificial intelligence, the race of metallic men we would later know as the Ghulam were created. Technology and highly adaptable machines began to rapidly integrate themselves into human society. At first, the need for labour was eliminated, and our ancient economy was no longer necessary. The Ghulam began to teach itself, until it became a more intelligent thinker than even the best minds humanity could offer. The burden of scientific learning was lifted from our shoulders, and our researchers were replaced with their own creation. It was their brilliance that gave us the Tegotai Drive. Soon, the Ghulam began to understand wisdom, and it seemed only natural for them to replace us as the rulers of humanity. Under it's guidance, our empire prospered, our planets were fully terraformed into paradise worlds, and our people did not know pain, angst or desperation. For three thousand years, our society stagnated. There was no need for exploration, our planets were so well governed that the concept of over-population was a long forgotten theory. We had no need of colonies, and as our worlds slowly became self sufficient, space travel in general. We had gained paradise, but at the same time, we had lost our humanity. Hedonism was the driving force behind everything our ancestor's did, over the years, they produced trillions upon trillions of pieces of art, yet they created nothing of value. The task of recording history was once again passed onto the Ghulam, and our records of this shameful period are very sketchy. What is apparent is that there was some sort of schism within the first hundred worlds. Once again, each clan has their own widely different account of the conflict. Bok-Durthea claims that a messiah like figure appeared, and incited a rebellion against the Ghulam. The Oneen on other other hand maintain that it was a civil war between two human factions, though they are uncertain of the cause. They state that the Ghulam at first remained neutral, then tried to act as peace-keepers, before they eventually turned on us. Whatever the case, we estimate that the war lasted half a century and killed approximately a fifth of the humans in the Nair Bennu galaxy. Humanity could not compete against the Ghulam in numbers, nor could we match their tactical expertise. They think on a level high above our own. At the time, the threat of human extinction was very real, in order to preserve our species, our leaders decided to start again. Warships were hastily converted into colony ships. In order to ensure that at least some of our people would survive, each fleet of colony ships headed through the Star Lanes, and off into completely different directions. Humanity scatter into the stars, until such a time that new permanent colonies could be established. Thus began our exodus. The Ghulam followed us. They burnt any planets we tried to settle, and destroyed our fleets whenever they could. It was apparent that they had no other objective than our complete genocide. We fought back with whatever forces we could muster, but their numbers were overwhelming. Our isolated people began to retreat more and more towards the galactic core, in search of a new home. This was our darkest hour, and our suffering lasted over thousands of years. Bok-Durthea was the first to find it. Their fleet entered through an uncharted Star Lane, and arrived at Tien Keldsich, the Dyson Sphere in the centre of the galaxy. In those days, the sphere was very different from the home we now know. It's atmosphere was made of a poisonous gas that would have killed an unprotected human, the landmasses were much more mountainous, and it is said that not a drop of water existed anywhere. The commanders were in awe of the Archons. The twin serpents who have since been our protectors. A rash decision on the part of one fleet commander resulted in the entire fleet firing barrage after barrage at the creatures, though they were unable to seriously harm them. The Archons were content to simply fly around the sphere as usual, and sing their mysterious song. About an hour into 'the battle' the commanders realized their mistake, and ceased hostilities. It was quickly apparent that whoever had made the Dyson Sphere, was also the original creators of the Star Lanes. The fleet stayed there for many months, launching probe after probe, trying to find some trace of it's original inhabitants. As they remained in the sphere, the atmosphere began to change itself, turning into an air that out people could breath. The land of the sphere also underwent radical techtonic chances, mountains flattened into prairies, grass began to grow and oceans began to spring up. The Dyson Sphere was terraforming itself! The decision was made to built a permanent colony on the surface, and the colonists did with some reservation. The commanders were still highly suspicious of the Archons and kept them under close observation. A year later, a Ghulam battle-fleet arrived with over one thousand ships. A force that even the mighty Bok-Durthea clan could not stand up against. As the fleet moved to defend their new settlement, the song of the Archons became a fierce battle cry. The gigantic serpents flew towards the Ghulam ships, and consumed them. By the time the machines could sound the retreat, they numbered barely a thousand. For the first time since the exodus, mankind had triumphed over their creations. The Ghulam lasers had left deep gashes in the metallic flesh of the Archons, but as the days past, their injuries quickly healed. The Dyson Sphere was officially named Tien Keldsich, a word from one of our lost languages meaning 'sanctuary'. Over the centuries, other human fleets slowly arrived at Tien Keldsich. Though each of them was still human, many had developed radically different cultures in their time apart. The Bok-Durthea's people had a strong emphasis on personal honour, and battle, while the Yageel prized free thinkers, and used chemicals to augment their natural brains. Counting Bok-Durthea, seven fleets arrived at the Sphere. They divided themselves into seven clans. These are: Bok-Durthea Yageel Crsosk Tatong Ricmok Oneen Katenetu (extinct) The question of leadership was soon raised. Bok-Durthea was by far the largest clan, though they eventually settled on a compromise. Humanity would be once again unified, this time under a council government. Each clan would be allowed one representative. Each clan would be able to govern a portion of Tien Keldsich as they saw fit, provided that they contribute a certain yearly quota of resources and sent ships to build the council fleet. Finally, each clan was free to pursue and develop their own form of culture, the only single overriding law was that no A.I. could ever be created. The Ghulam did not fully grasp the overwhelming power of the Archons. The prospect of being able to wipe out humanity in one fell blow was too tempting for them. Over the course of these reconstruction years, they tried to invade Tien Keldsich numerous times, each new loss more devastating than the last. In a few short years, they lost the unstoppable fleet that they had spent a millennium building. The council was quick to take advantage of this, and began launching hit and run raids into space they controlled. The war of attrition was a great victory, and their influence was ended. It was decided that while Tien Keldsich's defences were formidable, they were not invincible. Humanity needed to gain ground and colony ships were once again set out and a new empire was forged.

<<>> <<>> Bok-DurtheaThe Bok-Durthea were the first to discover Tien Keldsich, and are therefore the most powerful clan on the council. They have a long and distinguished warrior tradition, stemming back from their time in the exodus. Bok-Durthean soldiers are trained in the Arias Mu Institute, and are renown across the galaxy for their skill in battle. The clan has been in constant conflict with the Ghulam forces, and as a result, has accumulated a substantial national debt. In order to pay for the war, they are forced to borrow money from the other factions. YageelAs clan Yageel drifted from system to system, it soon became apparent that they needed some counter-measures against the growing epidemic of depression and isolation related neurosis among their crews. As they travelled the galaxy, they would send survey teams down to any garden worlds they came across, and would collect any plants with useful medicinal qualities. As the years past, they slowly expanded their knowledge into improving other aspects of humanity. For instance, Yageel scientists are given behavioural drugs to increase their brain's ability to process information, and their soldiers are given mixtures of chemicals to allow them to ignore pain and fight harder. While powerful, these drugs are all highly addictive, and Yageel users must have a constant supply on hand, or they'll fall into withdrawal. CrsoskFaced with a growing population, and a diminishing amount of resource, the Crsosk instituted a strict eugenics policy aboard their fleet. Marriages were carefully planned to promote intelligence and cunning among the officers, while soldiers were bred for strength and durability. In battle, a 'pure bred' Crsosk soldier's strength can rival an Arias Mu adepts skill, making them highly effective warriors. The same cannot be said for their leaders, who have evolved from thousands of years worth of corruption and decadence, there is no unity among them, and the armies of clan Crsosk are turned on themselves, more than they're used against the Ghulam. TatongAs often as not, the leaders of clan Tatong noticed that it was organization that won the battle against the Ghulam, not superior numbers or weapons. Each ship in their fleet came equipped with rudimentary internet systems, under their visionary scientists, those systems expanded into something... more. Now, thousands of years later, each member of clan Tatong is connected to one another by a small wireless network chip implanted into their skulls. One large settlements, like Tien Keldsich, the free and open flow of information that their networks provide, allows society to function at it's utmost efficiency. In smaller settlements, it still allows a unity, abet less advanced. Though this connection has many uses, it isn't without it's risks. While secured with every counter-measure imaginable, the network isn't invulnerable and has been compromised in the past. RicmokDuring the war with the Ghulam, one thing became clear. Machines could not be trusted. The Ricmok had a long, and mostly uneventful exodus, during which they perfected their most prized accomplishment - the organic computer. Formed from cultures of cloned brain tissues, these new devices quickly replaced their fleet's previous computer systems. It's probably more apt to say that their ships are now cybernetic organisms, rather than simple machines. Which each passing year, Ricmok scientists add more and more biological components to their ships. While they're both unconventional, and surprisingly effective, the other clans look at such practice with unease. OneenDuring the exodus, it was fairly uncommon for two human fleets to encounter one another. Rarer still was it for them to decide to put aside their differences and cooperate. The Oneen are a mathematical impossibility. During their thousands of years of wandering through empty space, the Oneen encountered and assimilated the scattered remnants of crippled fleets. A destroyer group here, a frigate wolf-pack there. There is no single unifying culture or creed, just a single minded desire to survive, no matter the cost. Now that the clan has arrived at Tien Keldsich, there's a growing political movement which demands that the clan be broken up into it's original groups. Doing so would mean the effective end of Oneen as a super-power. KatenetuNot much is known about the early history of clan Katenetu. They were the last human clan to reach Tien Keldsich, arriving almost a full century after clan Oneen. They were integrated into the council, and after a decade of political strife, they simply left broke all diplomatic ties, and left the Dyson Sphere to wander the galaxy again. They still actively influence politics, behind the scenes. They have any number of spies and clones within the council's ranks, waiting, waiting and watching. The Builders of Tien KeldsichLittle is known about these enigmatic creatures. They were apparently masters of bio-organic engineering, though they are believed to have left the Nair Bennu Galaxy millions of years ago, their creations live on in the form of their creations, the Star Lanes, and Tien Keldsich. The Archons are believed to be what they used to wage war. Giant bio-mechanical serpents (with the approximate mass of a medium sized moon!) which can fly in a planetary atmosphere (and are theorized to function in vacuum as well), though they have been peaceful towards humanity, they attack any Ghulam forces on sight. During the Ghulam's initial raids on Tien Keldsich, the two Archons present literally ate the enemy fleet. GhulamHumanity's greatest creations, and our greatest shame. The Ghulam have completely destroyed the original colonies, and have chased the seven clans to Tien Keldsich, the galactic core. Though they originally possessed overwhelming power, their fleets have been slowly whittled down by their failed raids against Tien Keldsich, and the Archons. They've retreated back to a few of their fortress worlds, and it's become a stalemate, with each side launching raids into the other's territory. They have recently adapted their tactics to include diplomacy, as well as subterfuge. They will offer political asylum to any human, provided they submit themselves to a complete sterilization procedure. Preliminary intelligence reports indicate that they are a separate entity from the Ghulam that have occupied the original colonies, and that they are some sort of expeditionary fleet. PiratesWith the rise of space trade between newly established colonies, so to has the galaxy seen the rise of piracy. The different pirate tribes of the Nair Bennu Galaxy have little organization or communication with the others, though they pose a serious threat to commercial shipping. They have been known to stage mass assaults on military vessels as well. In accordance with the council mandate, all pirates carry a standard bounty of 1,000 credits alive, and 500 credits dead.

<<>> <<>> Dyson SphereTien Keldsich is a solid shell that completely encloses a small, artifical star. Though such a structure should normally have an extremely high gravity, it's functionally only slightly higher than Ol-Dia. The discrepency is believed to be the result of an as of yet unknown technology, employed by the sphere's original builders. The megastructure itself is only accessably through the Star Lanes. Council stellar observatories speculate that the Tien Keldsich is actually located in the cetnre of the Nair Bennu Galaxy, and that it is both engulfed in, and draws power from, the super massive black hole. How this actually occurs is not yet understood. The inner surface of the shell is habitable, and has been settled by humanity ever since clan Bok-Durthea arrived there, almost three hundred years ago. The name Tien Kelsich derives from an ancient Durthean word, meaning "sanctuary." Star LanesA Star Lane is a series of satellites that orbit, and siphon power from, a star. When properly activated, they allow instant travel to a corrisponding Star Lane in another solar system. Most stars in the Nair Bennu Galaxy have one or two stars which they lead too, but a select few have been found to act as a nexus, allowing travel to dozens other solar systems. Tagoti DriveA highly suffisticated type of engine that allows faster than light travel. It only works when it's a certain distance away from a gravitational force, however.

Username: Maltese_Falcon91 Character name: Anselm Ashfeer Gender: Male Age 27 Clan: Yageel Occupation: Xeno-Biologist Bio:Anselm was born into a modest household in the clan Yageel quadrant on Tien Keldsich. In his youth, he would stare out the windows of his homestead in awe of the Archons. That fascination soon became an obsession. In school, he responded well to his psychopharmaceutical conditioning, he, along with 20,000 other promising recruits were sent to the Yageel Science Academy on the planet Zakeen III. There, he recieved further chemical augmentation. His ability to process information grew exponentially. His obsession with the Archons soon turned to fear, as he realized what they represented. With all of mankind's advanced scientific learnings, and hundreds of years in which to study them, they were still no closer to gaining any tangible information about them. The more he focused, the more he applied his intellect, the more he understood that they were simply beyond him. Even the Ghulam, the race of machines that brought humanity to it's knees couldn't decipher the true mystery surrounding them. After he graduated, he moved dutifully from post to post. The Yageel clan had claimed a region of densely packed region of space , and Biologists who were experienced in understanding Alien life forms like him were in high demand. The years past, he studied dissected and assisted in genetically modifying hundreds of alien species, in the process building up a reputation as a reliable, if not necessarily brilliant scientist. One day, under orders from the Council, a Crosk freighter retrieved him from the developing world of Luheenah, and brought him back to Tien Keldsich. There, he was greeted by a a Yageel representative, and told that he'd been selected for a prestigious honour, though due to the need for secrecy, he wouldn't be told what it was until the expedition was already under-way. - - - Username: Lost Lady Ryssa Character name: Irisian Desteron Gender: Female Age 24 Clan: Oneen Occupation: Tagoti Engineer Bio: Irisian was born and raised in a small home with 4 older siblings. She wasn't given much as a child seeing as her parents were using most of their resources to get her siblings a better life. As the youngest of the children she was meant to stay home, take care of the household and carry on the family name. She never fully accepted this role and because of that her siblings resented her. She was subject to constant abuse by her family and the community. When she was 15 she was deemed fit to be bare children, but it was then that the family realized her reproductive systems where defective. Irisian was then disowned from her family and kicked out of her community at 17. As most kick outs and runaways usually do she made her way to a shipping dock and made friends with the crew of the Enken. She soon got a meager job as a stacker on board, and spent 2 years aboard the Enken travelling to many different planets. Right before Irisian turned 20 she was caught snooping around the engine room. When confronted she said she was only trying to make the Tagoti Drives run quieter so they wouldn't wake her when she was trying to sleep. To the crew this sounded silly, to her it sounded reasonable, but to the captain this sounded like mutiny. He had ordered for her to be held in custody till they could kick her off at the next port. Thankfully though the captain was persuaded by the Tagoti Engineer aboard at the time, Mr Clank was all anyone called him, to release her into his custody. Mr Clank saw potential in her and recruited her as his apprentice. Irisian than travelled with him from ship to ship learning the trade of Tagoti Drive repair and construction until she out grew her instructor and was picked by the fleet to see over their ships Tagoti Drives. Many years later at 24, while she was seeing to a ship in Tien Keldsich, she was approached by a Oneen representative, a visitor she did not welcome, and told she was selected to be the head engineer on a very prestigious expedition. Though she was not told what exactly this expedition was she accepted only out of curiosity. - - - Username: Kybia Character name: Etana S'unic Gender: Female Age 33 Clan: Crsosk Occupation: Archeologist Bio: Etana's family left the Crsosk nation two generations ago when her grandparents felt the political infighting was destroying their clan. Their family was officer stock and felt they knew better than the current leaders. They left and ended up amongst the Oneen, having made the decision that with the most diversity, the Oneen would provide the best pool of genes for superior children. Her grandparents rule her family, picking out spouses for their children and grandchildren. Etana's family considers themselves traditionally Crsosk, and she was raised with Crsoskian beliefs. Her husband, Magnar, was picked by her grandfather with her approval. Magnar is a well respected professor of ancient and unknown technologies. Etana turned from the traditional role of officer and leadership due to observations of the Oneens. She was curious about how their culture was possible and this interest, as well as encouragement from her husband, eventually changed to her interest in how various clans interacted with unknown technologies. Due to her previous work and lack of current project, she was selected and told only that it was the chance to make her career. - - - Username: Quintus The Third Character name: Jaibyn Wextier Gender: Male Age 24 Clan: Tatong Occupation: Pilot (captain) Bio: Jaibyn has always been a speedy type of flyer. When faced with the choice, he leans towards fighter jets and one-man minis or even simulators over cargo hangars and multis (passenger ships). They were too big and bulky for his taste. Unfortunately, he was elected to captain the ship that was to be used for a mysterious expedition to God-knows-where. And that certain ship would be a multis, just his luck. - - - Username: EstoPerpetua Character name: Dr. Laitacha B'Elassa Gender: Female Age 27 Clan: Ricmok Occupation: Chief Medical Officer Bio: Dr. B'Elassa, or Lai to her friends, is, too put it bluntly, obsessed with life. She finds it infinitely fascinating, and loves studying it. While technically Lai's specialty lies in the creation of biological material (for ships), she also excels as a regular people doctor. Lai's parents are both chief engineers in the Ricmok government's design team for new ships. They encouraged Lai's interest in biology, and taught her all they knew. As a result, from a very young age Lai was proficient in caring for both ships and humans. After attending a school for biological studies, Lai took up a job under her parents. Unfortunately, in the local workers camp there was a strange outbreak which Lai identified and helped to cure. Thus Lai's career shifted from ships to people. Principally, Lai worked among those who could not usually afford medical care for it was here that the most interesting problems always came from. Lai was called upon by the Ricmok government based upon a recommendation from her parents and ex-coworkers at the design facility who recalled her work among the day laborers. At first Lai was hesitant to go. She did not want to leave her patients or the planet in general since she was wary of space. In the end, her parents convinced her that it was a marvelous opportunity, and so Lai accepted the position of Chief Medical Officer on some top secret mission in space.

This will be my character. Remember, though the plot is about a scientific expedition, you don't have to be a scientist. It's a dangerous galaxy out there, so if the CXSS Perossa has any hope of completing it's mission, it's going to need soldiers, pilots and all sorts of people.
Oh, for the time being, I don't see much point in having an OOC thread, so if you want to talk out of Character, just the Indigo Colour. We'll probably need to change it up when we get more people, but it'll suit our purposes for now.
The rumbling of the engines woke Anselm.
He's been on starships before, and he knew that rumbling was the Tagoti Drives, They were about to come online. It wouldn't be long before they arrived at Bothalvi XVII.
For a moment, he lay in his cot, trying to fall back asleep. It didn't work. A quick glance at his bedside chronometer told him that they were just about to entering what passed for daylight hours on the Perossa.
I might as well take the time to get my equipment ready.
He got himself dressed, stepped out of the cabin, and started walking towards the cargo hold.

Bio: Irisian was born and raised in a small home with 4 older siblings. She wasn't given much as a child seeing as her parents were using most of there resources to get her siblings a better life. As the youngest of the children she was meant to stay home and take care of the house hold and carry on the family name. She never fulling accepted this roll and because of that her siblings resented her. She soon got a meager job as a stacker on board, and spent 2 years aboard the Enken traveling to many different planets. Irisian than traveled with him from ship to ship learning the trade of Tagoti Drive repair and construction until she out grew her instructor and was picked by the fleet to see over their ships Tagoti Drives.

Username: Kybia Character name: Etana Gender: Female Age 33 Clan: Crsosk Occupation: Archeologist
Bio: Etana's family left the Crsosk nation two generations ago when her grandparents felt the political infighting was destroying their clan.

Etana was up early wandering the corridors of the ship, excitement making sleep near impossible. It was the first time she would be amongst the crew deciding what the artifact was rather than reading papers and trying to refute erroneous claims.
As the drives kicked on, creating vibrations throughout the entire ship, Etana looked around, realizing she was near the cargo hold. Considering they were supposed to disembark today, it would probably be a hot spot. Might as well check if anyone else was up, starting there. If she didn't find anyone, the galley was likely to be opening soon and she'd go there next.

I wasn't allowed to sleep that night. As part of the main crew I was kept up all night to make sure everything was running right for departure in the morning. Not that I argued, but I might not have been so grumpy about it if they would have at least let me have a nap.
"Hey, Desteron!?" I heard someone from behind call.
"Whatttt?" I replied in a grumpy voice.
"You heading down to the cargo bay?" It's that annoying kid I call Chuck cuz I can never remember his name. I don't even know what he's doing on the ship.
"Yes Chuck. Where else would I be going?" It's not like I have anywhere else I'm needed at this point and I can't go sleep till I report in.
"OH! I'll come with you then!"
Great, that's just what I needed, a big mouth to follow me all morning.

The Perossa wasn't big. Just a little over a hundred metres, the cargo bay took up over half of that space. The council had stocked this expedition well. Anselm made his way past rows of Arias Mu powered armour, Armoured Vehicles, and other equipment that he couldn't easily identify. Did they need his expertise on one of the border worlds? Why all of the secrecy? He heard footsteps behind him, apparently he wasn't the only one with trouble sleeping tonight. . . . I wonder who is behind Anselm? Well, it can be anyone, really. If anyone wants their character to meet him, then it's pretty simple to do. If not, I can write up a conversation between him and a crewmen.
