Breeding Rules nice banner hereLion(s) can only breed thrice with their life mate (unless given a special item), twice with a non-life mate, and may have as many non-life mates as they wish.
Once a lion gives birth, there is a two month waiting period for female lions if they wish to breed again. Male lions are not affected by this rule.
Litters consist of 1 to 4 cubs, depending on RP (the norm is 2).
Breeding will cost 10,000g from the owners (5k each).
Before your lion(s) can breed, both owners must be active in the thread. Meaning, both owners must roleplay (or at least pop into the thread if you feel that you cannot RP) at least once a week!
We ask that you not breed siblings or relatives in any way. Lions are very sensitive genetically-speaking and incest will result in mild or severe birth defects (blindness, paralysis, deformities, etc.) which the Menyhert Centre will NOT tolerate.
Same generation breedings, please. Cosplays/special editions count as generation 0, and so are able to breed with other generation lions.
Owners may keep only one out of their litter in a breeding session (in the case of co-owners, each co-owner may keep one).
Only female-male pairings can breed. We do not have the technology to allow same-sex breedings, nor do we have the will to develop it in the future.
*Note: There was been some confusion about same sibling breedings. You cannot breed a lion that you own to another lion you own if you have more than one. This is because lions are assumed to be siblings or step-brothers/sisters if they are owned by you. Sorry! The only exception to this is if you own cosplay Menyhert lion couples (i.e. Sarabi & Mufasa)
