Is the Bible shy and vague in terms of it? I sincerely believe it's not. It's extremely clear, and even in it's symbolism, it can still make sense.
For instance, let's look in Revelation;
And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
Doesn't this sound like a meteor to you?
"A third part of the sea became blood" could this be referencing to a huge oil catastrophe resulting from the meteor?
Let me remind you, oil is the substance of dead things.
Let's see what comes after this;
And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
Remember what happened on the coast of Japan after that earthquake; many of the boats flowed into the land on the murky waters of the earthquakes tide. Imagine a 500 foot wave coming at your coastline, cradling it's claimed ships with it. Seems a little frightening, huh?

Here's a piece of Revelation 6:
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
What is a likely after effect of earthquakes? Volcanic activity! An earthquake so great as to stir up an awesome amount of volcanic activity world wide would definitely cloak the world in black and affect the hue of our moon and our sun would definitely look different, as if it were covered. This could likely be followed by a small ice age.
But in all honesty, the ice age bit is a mere guess on my part.
None the less, let's continue. How about Israel? What do we see happening to it today?
Well for one, we see the third temple being built. This is believed to be where the Antichrist may sit during the Tribulation.
This is huge news for Christians everywhere!

Currently, people have been having much speculation on the soon to be status on Damascus.
For one, many of the former areas in the middle east have been cut apart and renamed, so they don't look the same as they did in the earlier years of their existence.
I think this man is very reliable with studying prophecy and respected by a good amount of his peers and does a great job at answering his critics.

By no means judge him by other doctrines he may believe. I am still undecided as to whether the Universalism perspective on eternity is accurate, being they don't believe allot of the Bible is to be taken literally. I was in an argument with one the other day and they blatantly twisted a mans word and called him a liar simply because he said "our universe is complex so it must have a designer," and proceeded to bring up God being complex so he must have a designer as well, attempting to compare an eternal being with a being in a universe that almost everyone unanimously agrees had a beginning. It was simply foolishness. Trying to over complicate something to make it in your favor + applying philosophy does not make your point of view accurate. None the less, I still plan on searching out the truth on what hell is. It's funny how people judge a world view by it's followers.

I may start with what the Jewish people believe, because even they themselves (for the most part) do not seem to accept Hellinism point of view, and being Christianity has 'branched off' from them, studying their way could bring a better understanding to what the Bible means and how we could interpret it. But by no means take everything to heart. A diligent study and comparison will help make things clear. Keep an open mind!
