Back all those years ago, how did you find out about Gaia and what were your first impressions of it? Everyone has growing pains when trying something new. Did you like Gaia, did you hate it, on the fence? Did you find any aspect of the site, that you couldn't understand or follow along with?

I found it while looking for the game"Illusions of Gaia" for SNES. I got interested in what the site seemed to have. However I did not like it just having one store. There was no trading and of course no exchange yet.
I kind of seen a few avatars resembling my own. I wanted to be more different and in time I got my wish. I ended up getting involved with flaming.. Plus becoming friends with a particular user gave me both friends and enemies. sweatdrop
I was surprised when someone started a fan club for me. O.o I saw the thread and the user wanted my attention and admired me. I thought she was so sweet and I realized other users liked me. I decided one day to talk in that thread.
I was a very anti social user for the most part. It seemed like people admired my I won't take your crap attitude. I told this little group of people. I have enough crap to deal with offline and I am not going to deal with it on here.
I think I was mainly a random poster, so Chatterbox suited me. I did make a lot of self centered threads. However people had to just look past it and get to know me. I do know my first day here was confusing.
Trying to get e-mail to go through. So I could log in. Once I got on and lurked. I first said, "Ok, what is this s**t?" sweatdrop

You sound like you went through the ringer. I dont really remember my first days. I remember my original username(for this account) was stupid, i didnt even know what Gaia was at first. I was like..."oh ok, you dress and Avi that never moves and you post stuff in forums for small amounts of Gold." I had no clue what giveaways were, Bootygrab or anything. I spent many days and weeks, posting "Bump", like a world class noob, gathering small pocket change haha sweatdrop Now, back from my Hiatus, im slowly getting myself out there and branching into new Frontiers. But hey, we are all a bit awkward and ani-social at times. I remember those days of mine. But those days have come to pass biggrin

I'd read more Whistle! if I could find any, but I stopped with prince of tennis at like book 5. It wasn't going anywhere and I was BORED. mad Recently I watched Bodacious Space Pirates, and some new series of Lupin the 3rd!! They're actually pretty good and true-to-style. smile

I made many posts over the years to obtain gold.
I used to earn nearly 2k a day. xd I am shy but I like making friends. I just have to push myself to open up. smile

My first thought after seeing Gaia....was that I wanted ice cream...but besides that the impression it left on me was a cozy one, I didn't leave my house for days at a time. The forums where filled with people with similar interest and quirky conversations. So warm and fuzzy to say the least whee
