What was it like when you first acquired a Million Gold? Were you super happy? Did you go and blow it on some expensive item you were saving up for?

I think my first 'million' was a gift. I rarely ever saved a lot of gold in my early days of Gaia. I made tons of it back when polls and posts gave you a consistent 10gold each...but I always spent it right away on whatever the 'new thing' was and could never catch up completely. O_O Part of that was probably cos I also gave a lot of gifts at one point or another, but who cares? biggrin
Usually I spend my gold as soon as I have it, but sometimes I'll take a couple weeks selecting specific items from my wishlist to buy. I have to pick and choose these days because I don't buy GC or sell signs anymore

I remember my first Mil. I made it by the end of my first account or near the beginning of this one. By sending what I had gold wise over.
By that time I was investing in extra donation items. I used to invest like crazy then. All though I donated I wanted to have things to sell later. I did buy the occassional gift for others I was close to.
However I was not really a spend thrift then. Now I can't even keep a 100k. sweatdrop However to invest these days it's harder to know what things will do well.
Plus I don't feel like keeping tabs in the market anymore.

I believe when I made my first mil I was saving for my Horns. I had a really good friend with a lot of gold who wanted my art.

Plus I don't feel like keeping tabs in the market anymore. Thing about me, is whether it here on Gaia or IRL, im a saver. I save my money and spend little. I'm not cheap, but more wise and careful with my money. Cause unlike IRL, on Gaia its not so easy to get all your Gold back for the item, after you purchased it. Sellback price has a small cut, i believe? It's been a super long night, so i dont care if im wrong, im sticking to that thought, until im corrected xD

If it has a sell back then you are more likely to get screwed. Some not sold in stores and don't have a sell back can be worth investing in.
However you must pay attention to it on the market. Since there are drops and increases so you never know.
In the past the donation items/monthly collectibles were the way to go. Now they are a flop in the selling later to get rich thing. So it's really hard to do wise investing anymore. sweatdrop
Anymore I just don't invest and just buy what I want. sweatdrop

I got my first mil in 2004. It was amazing! But, I wanted more.. So, I saved ever since.. Did not drop under a mil until this year when I bought a ton of junk over a short period of time. Things like Pale Marionette, and a few other big-ticket items ate up my funds. xd

Android_Hippie For now, save a bit more. I plan on hitting a certain target number before i go wild with spending. But i really want to achieve my goal of having every item on Gaia sweatdrop Understandable.. But with the rate gaia pops out items, and at the high prices they are at. That would take quite a while. xd I think I have pretty much gotten every item that I really wanted. I can live without the rest. There are a few that I would not mind getting, but I am willing to wait, or never get them at all.
