Acha's Bio: Acha was an ordinary mouse who did mouse things. She ate, slept, and had babies. She was a fierce protector and provider, and gained a little bit of intelligence from her devotion to this natural order. She learned that twisting grasses made better bedding, and twisting eventually became weaving. She had glimpsed, in her weaving, something more than being a mouse. These glimpses happened more and more often. She had almost gotten it... when her luck turned sour and a snake killed her and gulped her down.
Personality: Acha is a very quiet, maternal sort of person. She likes to 'mother' others she sees as needing such treatment. She likes to be able to retreat from people occasionally though, usually by doing some weaving, which she finds fascninating.

Guardian:
Name: Rajeev Qiu
Description: A dark-skinned, intense older man. He speaks extremely properly with a somewhat odd, but faint accent.
Bio: Rajeev is a half-chinese half Indian scholar of language and Chinese Culture who recently moved to DaMing Huu to study the microculture of the historic town.
Personality: He is extremely academic. He believes that supernatural events simply haven't been explained by science yet, and thus discards the idea completely. He is, however, fascinated by the intricacies of culture and superstition, and does like to study them. He just doesn't believe them himself. His work is his life. His mother thinks that he should get out more, find himself a nice woman, and get himself married, but he feels that, if it isn't completely unnecessary, he at least has plenty of time. Besides, she can only nag him in letters from far-off India where she returned to long ago. He doesn't have to listen to her, not when new oppurtunities to study present themselves.
