Lex used to live here with Elliot...but now he's mostly alone.

Kiress waited paitently outside of the front door, he was but a guest. he looked over his shoulder to the pile of ruble that used to be his home, tomorrow he would beginn to rebuild... Tomorrow he would make a new life.

Iris walked up behind Kiress, putting a surprisingly gentle hand on the pyromaster's shoulder. "How're you doing, Kiress?" She asked, concerned for him as one of the few friends that she had.

He walked passed them to the porch, sighing a little as he did feel sympathy for the little spirit but didn't know how to express it.
"Come along, you two. The sun'll be up soon."

Kiress smiled, "Just tired, but I'm alright."
He followe in after Lex giving the elder man a thankful smile, "I'll stock the fires if you want and then I'll just curl up in front of the fireplace."

Iris followed them both, silent and observing as she seemed to be most of the time. "That's good to hear, Kiress."

"What? That I'll stock the fires?" he gave a tired laugh, "I suppose so, especially if you don't want to be cold."
Kiress went to the one in the living room and after clearing away the ash, he stocked the wood and sent a little tendal of flame from his hand, it saught the fuel to feed it, and soon Kiress had that wee bit of red into a happily blazing flame.
He wandered from room to room that had a fire place and was going to be used and cleared away the ash and stock the frie place anew with logs. He suck on each of the piles of lumber the tiny flame that would soon grow to a health warmness.
After a while the little fire spirte colasped bonlessly in to the pile of blankets by the fire place and was asleep before he even had time to think of anything.

Lex knelt beside Kiress and pulled a blanket up over the little pyromaster. At least he seemed comfortable.
"Iris?" He stood quietly, not wanting to disturb the sprite on the floor. "I don't know if you'd rather stay out here with Kiress, but there is a room waiting for you if you wish..."

"Unlike Kiress, I don't do well sleeping in front of fireplaces. I'll take the room. Thank you." Iris said akwardly, not used to using such words so often. "For taking us in, I mean."

Kiress' dreams were imageless, the only thing he could and would remember from his sleep was a since of peace, or a simblance of near happiness. As he slept the fire that danced in the fireplace mimiced his dreams, as did all the fire's, there were figures, shapeless, but figure non the less resting under what could have been tree. And if the figures were not there the flames flickered in a slow almost rhythmical patter that was soothing to the senses.
But Kiress sleep was restful and there he remained until the next morning.

Lex turned away so she wouldn't see the look on his face. "Really, it's not a problem. Here," he walked down th hall and opened a door. "You can sleep here. If you need anything, let me know, alright?"

"I shall. Again, thank you. It...really means a lot to me." Iris said, showing some compassion in her eyes. "I don't have anywhere else to go. Good night." With that, she closed the door, crawled into the bed with all her clothes on, and went to sleep.

Sunshine creeped in the windows, it landed across the floors and slowly made its way towards Kiress's face. He truned away from the intruding light and curled up tighter under his mound of blankets in attempt to ward away the invading sun. But it was to no avil, his eyes, dancing with multicolors, stared at the celing. For the longest moment it took him a while to realized where he was. He yawned and sat up, "From the looks of it Lex and Iris aren't up yet, If I could cook i'd start breakfast, but I'll just grab a spot of cheese and head over to the shop and get started."
He hoped up and folded the blankets neatly so that They wouldn't be a tripping hazzard, it was then he took off from Lex's to start on the process of rebuilding.

Lex awoke with a start, realizing he had fallen asleep in a chair in the kitchen. Kiress was gone, probably back to his shop to rebuild it. Damned Faust...
He sighed. Yesterday was just overwhelming...so many people and things going on...he walked through the house, making habitual rounds. he passed the door where Iris was sleeping and he paused. These two were being so incredibly tolerant of him...and after all he out them through...people's capacities for forgivness always amazed him.
((Sorry...had personal problems...all better now! 4laugh ))

Iris was completly passed out, motionless in her sleep aside from her breathing. Her chest barely moved at all, that was how deep her sleep was. And it was blissfully dreamless, allowing the areomaster some much needed, undistrubed rest.
