The night's energy gathering duties were done, but somehow, Chariklo didn't yet feel like powering down and going home. Instead, she was perched within the leafless branches of a tree in the park, watching the sky. So much in her life had changed in such a very short time. Normally, that didn't bother the tall senshi of seagulls, but every once in a while the enormity of her new, secret life struck her.
Had it been the weekend, she'd have abandoned Destiny City for one of her favored surfing haunts. But it wasn't, so she had to take solace from the soft, still night sky and all it's myriad, twinkling stars. One of those stars belonged to her. And who knew. Maybe someday, when Ares' dream came true, she'd get to go there and she'd never have to worry about all the awful things here on earth ever again.
With a soft sigh, Chariklo leaned back on the largest of the branches supporting her and stared up at the star filled sky, her mind following a wispy, dreamy path of its own.

Sailor Cyllene had an entirely different agenda when she was out on patrol that night. It wasn't often these days that Addison decided to power up, but after smoking a big fat joint she wanted nothing more than to gallivant through the streets of Destiny City. So that's exactly what she was doing. The heels of her boots clicked against the pavement as she skipped through the city. While she wasn't out here to fight the evils of the Negaverse, she went on her adventure powered up because let's face it- she couldn't jump as high or run as fast if she wasn't a Sailor Scout of Justice and Love and all that other bullshit. If she had known she could go to space, she'd be high and chillin' on her private moon right now instead. Eventually she found herself in the park, and she quickly felt the familiar tingle of an agent of Chaos nearby. She cringed slightly and her pace slowed, knowing full-well that a Negaverser near-by meant that she would probably be getting her a** handed to her within the next few minutes.

Skin prickling as the familiar and unwelcome sensation of an Order aura flickered over her, Chariklo found herself wincing. She didn't want to have to fight tonight. And she wasn't much for the talking the poor, deluded enemy over stuff. Well, maybe she could stem any unpleasantness off. Without bothering to look around, she kept her eyes on the sky and simply started talking, hoping that whomever was nearby would hear and well, not be a d**k and attack unprovoked.
"Look, whoever you are, I just want a little peace tonight, okay? I'm tired of fighting and being looked down on just for existing. Ares' prefers that we just talk and try to win y'all over with words, so let's try that, okay?"
For anyone who knew her, this sudden and deep desire to simply talk calmly might have been indicitive of a deep head wound. Really though, she just wanted the closest to a night off that she could get. Besides, she'd filled her energy quota efficiently. She deserved a little break.

Cyllene had a giant grin on her face. "Hey man, I'm just out here to go for a walk. I don't wanna cause any trouble, I promise." She flopped down onto the ground and leaned against the trunk of the tree that Chariklo was hanging out in. Closing her eyes, she let out a looooong, heavy sigh. Maybe tonight she actually won't have to deal with a crazy Chaos b***h that was gonna kick her a**. "Busy night?" She called up to the girl above her.

Finding herself grinning back at this unexpected and welcome response, Chariklo felt her shoulders relax as a small, relieved sigh escaped her lips.
"Busy enough, I suppose. How about you? Fight any 'bad guys' tonight?"
She couldn't help herself. The finger quotes slipped out since she considered herself to be the furthest thing from a bad guy. And she was meeting enough people on her side to have come to the conclusion that none of them were really bad. Goal oriented to the point of brutality, sure. But not bad.
Glancing down at the other senshi, Chariklo once again found herself amazed at the variety found in senshi uniforms.
"So, if we're gonna do this whole talkin' peaceably thing, you might as well tell me your handle. 'm Chariklo."

"I don't do a whole lot of bad guy fighting. More like.... Taking it like a little b***h when Chaos people decide that talking ain't kosher. You know you guys are ******** crazy, right?" Cyllene's lips dipped downward into a frown. Can't a girl get high and frollic through the city at night without someone sneaking up on her and picking a fight? Apparently tonight was her lucky night. "I'm Cyllene," she replied. "Of Acid," Cyllene added as she looked up at the other girl to admire her black outfit with her fancypants sheer overlays.

With a soft chuckle, Chariklo leaned forward slightly and took a really good look at the other girl.
"No crazier than some of the people on your side. So. Acid, huh? Are we talking the 'OH MY GOD I CAN TASTE COLORS' or the dissolving kind? 'Cause, no offense, but your fuku looks like it could go either way."
The dyed streaks in Cyllene's hair plus the off color lipstick struck a chord with Chariklo's own rebellious sense of fashion. Really, Cyllene was kind of cute. For an enemy. Settling back, she closed her eyes, ears alert for any unwelcome noise.
"So don't take it like a b***h. Throw rocks or something if you can't fight. Or y'know, don't go out in your magic dress."
This was all said in the friendliest possible tone. Chariklo knew she was quite capable of taking care of herself, knew that others were not so lucky. So, the idea of going out and routinely getting beat on seemed like madness to her.
"Just sayin'."

Cyllene burst out into a fit of giggles, a snort escaping here and there. "Naw man, not the tripping balls kinda acid. It's the burny dissolving kind! ...Unless it evolves into the tripping balls kind. HOLY s**t WOULDN'T IT BE COOL IF IT EVOLVED INTO THE TRIPPING BALLS KIND?" She was practically yelling with excitement. Then she went really quiet and stared at her fingers wiggling. Hahahaha, lookit them fing~ She was now deep in thought about what on earth her next stage attack could be. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!!11 Her bottom lip stuck out in a pout at Chariklo telling her she was taking it like a b***h. "Hey it ain't my fault I can't run and jump and frollic as fast or high or amazingly as a civilian as I can as a Senshi. Maybe you Chaos peeps should just stop attacking me. Peace and love and all that other junk," she said with a dopey grin. "And I can fight, I'm just sayin. I just choose not to."

" Do not shake your head at me little Lady. Get out of bed now! "
" Noooo! " With a giggle and a jump, she was out of bed and running about the room, messy hair bouncing wildly. The old women were just no match for the energetic princess.
" Tsk. You better stop that now... "
" I'll send for the Alchemist if you don't... "
Islahne stopped dead in her tracks as if someone had thrown her in a bucket of ice cold water. Slowly she stomped back to the nannies, making all the faces she could. They went to work brushing her hair, struggling to get all of her in a dress amidst the flailing arms and legs, fighting over stockings and shoes. Once she was completely dressed and presentable the nannies stood back to admire their work.
" There! Now wash your face, and go straight to the dining hall for breakfast! Nowhere else, you understand? "
The little princess nodded frowning and quickly splashed her face and ran out the door giggling. Such was the routine, and she enjoyed every second of it. She giggled as she passed some guards and played her favorite game: Try to take the sword. After a few minutes they shooed her off and Islahne continued on down corridor after corridor. Her sister would be busy, and her brother was always with that scary Hand, so she would just have to find someone else.
She reached the foyer and quickly ducked into the nearest shadows as two more guards came by. They appeared to have come from the lab, and this sparked her curiosity. Islahne waited until they were out of sight, then bolted for the stairway down to the lower levels, being careful not to make any noise or fall. It seemed to take forever to get there, and because she was watching her feet instead of where she was going, she ran right into the door.
" Ow! Ohh.. " She clapped both hands on her mouth to stop from whispering again. Her eyes grew wide at the site of this large lock, keeping an even larger door locked. A chill ran down her spine and she spun around to run right back to the foyer, not stopping until she was safe. All sorts of images ran through her mind while she caught her breath. Giant horses, giant people, giant rats, giant anything. Nodding to herself in agreement that whatever that door kept in, was not something to play with. And that was settled, onwards to play with more guards outside.
Not that the princess was allowed to be out of the castle, just that usually no one ever caught her before she was completely coated in mud and grass stains. Today would be one of those days it seemed. None of the guards or staff had seen her escape, nor did they see her sprint towards shadows and make her way to the gate. When Islahne was within a few feet of the guards guarding the gate, she knew getting their attention wouldn't be difficult. Shivering a little from not having a coat, she gathered up some small pebbles and started throwing them as far as she could away from the gate.
The guards turned to look, questioning what was going on inside the gate, leaving Islahne to notice that no one would see her leave through the gate. A little scared, even more curious, she speedily crept outside the wall, into the city. Once outside, she ran to the nearest building and hid herself from sight.
" Now what shall I do? " Only once had she ever been out of the safety of the castle wall, and that was when she was very small. Telling herself that the people were happy now and nothing bad could happen, helped ease her fear of the unknown. Islahne put on her bravest face and started walking, on a mission to make the townspeople laugh as much as the castle staff.

Crazy. Under the influence. Same difference, right? In Cyllene's case, probably. She shrugged her shoulders as she twirled a strand of neon blue hair. "I'm not trying to win any wars. And I guess not all Chaos people do attack for no reason but every one I've come across but you has! And I dunno... I don't really want to fight with you guys? I ran into one of them Nega people once and he told me why they fight and I don't wanna stand in the way of that, y'know? And the monsters!" Cyllene sucked in a breath. "Those monsters are so cool and it's cruel to hurt them!" She shook her head and frowned. "I just don't agree with getting in the way of your cause. Not that... I even know what you or your cause are because yer sure as s**t not a Negaverse agent. But their cause! I don't wanna get in the way of that. I don't think they're doing things for the wrong reasons and I don't wanna fight 'em." She chewed her lip for a moment. "Is that stupid? I'm probably stupid. I just don't understand what the hell the White Moon is fighting for when it's not our place, that's all. And I don't wanna take part in their stupidity."

Listening intently, Chariklo wondered which god of luck had decided to find favor with her tonight. Not only had a senshi who didn't want to fight stumbled on her, but that same senshi was already thinking along the correct lines. Well, except maybe the for monsters. Chariklo was still pretty sure that actual monsters were a Bad Thing.
"Well, can't say I've ever seen their monsters," she admitted. "So I really can't say whether they're cool or not.."
And as for causes...
"I imagine that our causes might not be the same, but they do fit together. We want to save the senshi from the lies of Serenity. And someday, we'll rebuild all our ruined kingdoms in space. We all might have been born on Earth, but it's not our planet. We're perfectly content to let the Negaverse have it once the senshi have had the blinders removed."
Certainly, she couldn't call Cyllene stupid. Not when she was saving Chariklo so much effort in bringing her around.
"Honestly, you should talk to Leto or Ares. Or both. Leto could explain this stuff much better than me and Ares is even better than her. You should think about it anyway."

Not only was this girl not kicking Cyllene's a**, but now she was also agreeing with her and not calling her stupid? What is this madness? Had she fallen into some ******** up time-warp? Maybe she smoked too much tonight?
Cyllene was very confused.
"You... Want to save us?" Oh god. Poor Cyllene's mind was reeling. What the ******** was wrong with the White Moon? Don't they want to be saved? "Space...." Her voice trailed off, her eyes wide and sparkly as she thought about the idea of going home to ~*space*~ and kingdoms! Holy s**t.
"Who's Leto? And Ares? What are you guys?" Suddenly Cyllene had a million questions about which side she was on and why.

"Of course we do!" Chariklo snorted in a distinctly unladylike fashion. "It's stupid and a waste to prolong a war based on a little girl's infatuation. And we know that there's something left out there of the old kingdoms, so why not relocate? It's logical."
Indeed, as far as Chariklo was concerned, it was the only path that made any sense at all. Still, she could tell she was only managing to confuse Cyllene. Which, ultimately, was not at all helpful for anyone. Still.
"Leto is my friend and my Captain and Ares is our Princess. As for what we are, we're the Dark Mirror Court. We're still senshi. We're just not blinded by the lies of the Moon Kingdom."
Spurred on by a sense of mischief as well as the knowledge that she had to go home and sleep sometime, Chariklo smiled and jumped down from her tree perch, landing neatly beside Cyllene. Grinning and winking at the other senshi, Chariklo stretched out her back.
"And look at it this way, if we didn't want to save you and all the other senshi, a lot more of you would be dead by now, I think. And on that happy note, I'm heading home. See you another time, maybe?"
With that, she nodded and darted off into the night.

Well this whole Dark Mirror Court thing sounded ******** awesome. Cyllene made a mental note to track down more of them, this Leto and Ares in particular, to learn more.
She could go home!
She most definitely didn't understand why Europa and the Jovians had such a huge issue with this fancy pants Dark Mirror Court. Maybe she would have to go back to them in their next meeting and tell them how amazing the Court is! Tell them all about going back to space! They wanted to restore their home worlds, didn't they?
This Chariklo chick was brilliant. They would kill them if they didn't want to save them!
After a whirl-wind of information was spewed at Cyllene and Chariklo took off into the night, she sat there dumb-founded for a few minutes. She blinked a few times, a blank look on her face.
Well ********, this changed everything.
She finally got up, dusted off her skirt and began to walk back to St. Magdalena's. Tonight was far too overwhelming; it was time to go back to her dorm room and pass the ******** out.
