So this is a sad topic. My watchman goby has been missing for days cry
A few weeks ago maybe even a month I saw that my little brittle star fish (I caught it in the keys, atlantic) was placing it's tentacles around goby (store bought pacific) and goby did not mind....at all. I saw this happen 3 maybe 4 times. Since I know the gobies form symbiotic relations with shrimp I assumed that this was a wierd symbiotic relation. But now that my goby is missing, maybe the brittle ate him? It is hard to believe since goby is much bigger and stronger. I also have a colon goby that hasn't been eaten and he has been around for longer AND he is from the same ocean as the starfish.
So I ask you guild members...Do any of you know what happened?

It's a possibility. Starfish are scavengers, and weak animals can surely be fair game (assuming that he was sick or old). However, I think it's more plausible that he jumped ship, or found his way into the filter, or perhaps has just hidden him self away.
