Hel opened her window and took in a deep breath of the cold wintry air, and then sighed contently. She liked the cold. What she also liked though, was the sight of some falcons soaring around the dorms. Hey wait…she squinted. A light one and a dark one…they looked familiar…oh! She remembered seeing them when she was practicing parkour that one day with Shun and Yin came by as well. They were Shun’s.
The thought of the reaper got her excited. Hey wait…if the falcons were flying around…did that mean he was back from his trip!? Rather eager to find out, Hel couldn’t pull her boots on fast enough, and hopped around her room in her attempts to get them on, and crashed into a few things along the way. Before she fell over onto the floor, she grabbed a wrapped present off of her desk and then went thump. She rolled back her feet and then ran out her door, slamming it.
On her way down the hall, she also couldn’t help but kick Mac’s door on the way by and yell “DUCT TAPE!” Before she ran off with a cackle and up the stairs.
Skidding to a stop in front of Shun’s door, her tongue poked out in concentration as she made a fist and banged on the door.
Hel, Shun was blind in one eye. Not deaf.

Indeed, Shun was back. And he was currently spending some time meditating while Mitsu was out. At least, that was what he was doing before he was abruptly interrupted by a loud BANG at his door. It was enough for the Reaper's eye to snap open and call his daggers to his hands. He thought someone was trying to kick down his door.
He remained quiet. There was no voice on the other side.
Narrowing his good eye, he began to inch along towards his door. Then, carefully, he opened it up while keeping one hand poised to strike in case it was some sort of enemy. He didn't know who it could be, but he couldn't be too careful.
Of course, it was just Hel on the other side. Looking unamused, he let out a breath and dismissed his daggers.
"You didn't need to bang the door that loud," he said flatly.

Hel raised a brow as Shun opened the door with his daggers. She snorted then. “Shun, there are a lot of things I do not need to do.” She then grinned widely, and leapt at the grim, throwing her arms around his waist tightly. “You are back! I am so happy you are back!” She squeezed him tightly before releasing him and rocked back on her heels, grinning up at him.
“How are you, friend? How was your journey? How is Mitsu!?”

It turned out Shun would be under attack after all. By a sudden hug. Tensing up as it happened, he grimaced at the squeeze before he was released. Letting out a breath, he straightened himself out while he was now being bombarded with a number of questions.
"Slow down Hel. I'm not going anywhere," he started before shaking his head, "I'm doing alright. The journey was pretty nice. Fairly relaxing as a whole. And Mitsu is doing well."
That was all of the questions right?
Ah. That also reminded him about something. Stepping back, he went to fetch something before tossing a bag at the Valkyrie.
"Consider it an early gift."

She didn’t care to be told to slow down, but she listened eagerly to him regardless. “Oh, that is wonderful!” She exclaimed. She was glad Shun and Mitsu were able to have a nice and long relaxing trip. They really earned it, especially with all the things that had been going on… Hel blinked as Shun stepped back, but whether she got a formal invitation or not, she followed the grim into his room, blinking as he tossed a bag at her and easily caught it with one hand. She stared down at it, but didn’t open it yet. Grinning, the ghoul tossed something back at him. A small gift, wrapped in Giftmas paper. “I shall return the favor, then!” Inside his present was something she hoped would be useful.

Shun also didn't object to Hel entering his room.
When something came flying his way, he caught it before raising an eyebrow. She had gotten him something? Quite frankly, he still didn't expect it whenever someone decided to give him a gift. He eyed Hel briefly, then went on and opened up the package, finding an eyepatch inside.
His gaze flicked back up towards the Valkyrie silently, then examined the object. Leather. Handcrafted. And it felt like there was something hard in the patch section. Likely metal. Carefully, he removed his current eyepatch, revealing the scar beneath for the moment before replacing it with the new one. Adjusting it, he found that it fit rather comfortably.
"This is pretty nice. Did you make it yourself?" he asked. He knew that she could work with leather and such.

While Shun went about opening his gift, Hel opened the bag she was given and peered inside. She was silent for a long moment before she let out a rather loud and happy squeal. Jerky. A bag full of jerky, and not only that, but there were different kinds of jerky. She could tell because inside the bag were smaller bags with labels on them. Holy Jack…the fact that Shun had not only thought of her while he was on his trip, but the fact that he got her something that she really loved, just made her feel all warm and gushy on the inside. Stupid holidays. “Thank you so much, Shun!” The ghoul cried. “I love it! This is amazing!” She looked up in time to watch him take off his current, and as far as she was aware, his only eye patch up until now. She watched him put it in, and was rather surprised, actually. She hadn’t expected him to take off the one Mitsu had made him. The one that she had watched the Lycan make during their time on the Hosemen Isles. She had made the Grim another because well…it was good to have a spare incase something happened to his current one, right? Or if it got dirty and he needed to clean it or whatever… So the fact that he was wearing the one she made him right now…once again, she felt all warm and gushy. Stupid holidays. JOY was in the air… “Y-ya!” She finally replied. “I figured you could use a spare…incase something happened to your current one…”

Shun could hear that Hel was incredibly happy about her gift. He wasn't sure if he had ever actually heard her squeal before. It was... interesting. But, it did warm that black pit he had for a heart a bit to see her so excited. Ok. He couldn't have had a black heart considering he had Mitsu, but some would have to wonder at times.
"I'm glad you like it. I wasn't sure what sorts you'd enjoy so I grabbed a number of different types," he said before raising a brow at her.
"That wasn't a bad idea. Thank you, Hel."
He figured he'd alternate between the two patches now and then. They were both hand crafted and all.

“Oh Jack, I will eat them all.” Hel replied with a laugh. She was actually looking down into the bag, and riffled through the smaller bags until she pulled out one that was labeled ‘peppercorn’ and she pulled a piece out of it. Taking a hearty bite, she chewed, getting the flavor before she smiled a rather wide and goofy smile and hunched her shoulders. The ghoul then proceeded to do some kind of weird swaying dance in her spot. “So good.” She uttered, and then finished the piece.
She grinned over at Shun then. “Not a problem, friend! Thank you as well, and Merry Christmastival!” Hel rocked on her heels a bit, grinning still. “Got any plans for the day, friend?”

The reaper stared as Hel took a bite out of one and began to do... something weird with her body. What was that? A happy dance? Did people really do those things? Well in any case, she seemed incredibly happy.
If Shun was the type to give advice on how to win a certain person's heart, he supposed that he'd give a guy the tip of giving her excellent jerky. Though, that likely wasn't going to be happening any time soon.
"Merry Christmastival to you as well, and no not in particular. Just my usual routine you could say."

Hel made sure the bag was closed securely and then wrapped it up and tucked it under her arm. In order to preserve the jerky’s freshness. She just kept on grinning away at Shun, and as he informed her of what he was up to, she turned speculative. “Hmmm…” She hummed a bit. “Oh! I know!” She exclaimed. “Let us go out and get some lunch, ya!? It will be my treat! I am hungry!”

At first, Shun raised an eyebrow at Hel as she brought up lunch. Well. Considering her appetite, he was glad she wasn't going to make him pay for it. She'd likely easily make him go broke in one sitting.
"Sounds like a plan. Do you have a place in mind?" he asked. He wasn't particularly picky, so he was fine with anyplace for the most part.

Hel could eat your body weight in one sitting, Shun. It was a Jack-given talent. The ghoul hummed, swinging her bag of jerk back and forth lightly. Where to eat…where to eat…no Sushi…that was like…a Mac and her thing…plus Shun was Asian so…yeah. No buffets either. She couldn’t see Shun getting his seeds worth there…HMMM… “OH! I know!” The reaper exclaimed loudly, and smacked a fist on her open palm. “Let us go get PIZZA! Have you ever had pizza before, Shun?”

"Of course I've had pizza," Shun replied while raising his brow again. He had grown up in a city after all. However, he didn't eat it too often. Regardless, he soon nodded in approval.
"Pizza will do. Do you know of any good places in the area?"

Hel had to think about this for a moment. She did go to this one pizza place with Charlie…but then Charlie ran out before paying…and she followed…so that probably wasn’t a good place to go. Of course the reaper had been to a few other places here and there…”Ah! I know!” She suddenly exclaimed. “Okay…I want to put this in my room first though. So that is our first stop!” She grinned up at him. “Are you ready to go?”
