Personality: Xiao Hong was quite a charming, but deadly adversary to come across. She was strong willed, forceful and incomprehensibly skilled with her swords and other weapons. If you ever had the chance to catch her on days where she wasn't "working" you'd meet a blunt, boastful, but ultimately friendly girl with a darkened back story. You'd have to be very close to her in order to know her past, though.
Story:
Xiao Hong was born to a poor family. They didn't have very much to work with and not much was coming in. Her father passed away before she turned five and her mother soon followed, both dying because of bacterial infections from the village's drinking water. As an orphan, Xiao was resourceful and learned how to live on her own without any assistance from others. She taught herself to be light on her feet in order to steal food and other necessities, which eventually lead her to the doorsteps of a famed martial arts instructor.
This instructor became a surrogate father and his dojo became her home. From her teenage years to her late 20s, Xiao continued to live with her "family" until she was recruited by a shady organization. They had seen her talent with swords and found her abilities as a martial artist to be up to par with their needs for an assassin. Thus, she parted with her home and set out on a long, treacherous road that would ultimately lead to her death.
Xiao Hong died during an assassin mission. However, it was unknown if she died at the hands of another assassin or by her own hands. She was face down in the dirt with a slit throat, her prized sword and a cluster of lemongrass held tightly to her chest.
