This post and this thread WILL. HAVE. SPOILERS. And they are not required to be in white. So read at your own risk!
I know it's silly and nit-picky, but there are little things in the plot line that drive me mad. These are not big things like "Who is the Akatstuki leader?" or "Is Sai really evil?" It's just small things that seem to have nothing to do with the story line, but it still really, REALLY bugs me anyway.
1) Kakashi's Sharingan -
Okay, we all know where Kakashi got the Uchiha Sharingan. From Obito with the help of Rin. BUT, we know, but Sakura, Naruto, and Sasuke don't. And you think Sasuke would be really, REALLY curious, even though he's, like, evil now... And Itachi might be curious to! Okay, so in the begining Sasuke was all "ZOMG SHARINGAN!" But then he just kind of.. dropped it. So, what's the deal?
RESLOLUTIONS:
a) Itachi knows. He's not too much younger than Kakashi and is, after all, related to Obito.
b) Sasuke also knows. They just didn't show it when Kakashi told him.
2) Rin -
Okay, where the hell is Rin? I, personally, am assuming she's dead, because if she wasn't, I'm guessing she and Kakashi would be really close friends, but she hasn't shown herself nor has Kakashi mentioned her. And she's a medical ninja, so she'd be very valuable to the village of Konoha.
RESOLUTIONS:
None
3) Naruto's Age -
Naruto failed to graduate from the Academy three times. The Acamademy level works basically like a normal school - your age determines your grade (unless you're really stupid or smart.) Naruto was very stupid, and failed to graduate three times. And, unless Shikamaru, Sasuke, Sakura, Ino, Chouji, Akiba, Hinata, AND Shino ALL failed three times as well, Naruto should be three years older than them. But he's not.
RESOLUTIONS:
a) Masashi Kishimoto messed up big time ._.

Okay, well I haven't read the Kakashi Gaiden portion of the manga yet(o far I haven't found a good site to download from, and so have been skipping around and reading chapters I can..)... So I have no idea about Rin.
As for Kakashi's Sharingan, well, I think that somehow Itachi knows how Kakashi got it- I don't know how he knows, but he just seems to, juts his whole disinterested, we've had this conversation before type of take on it... He seemed like he knew all about it. And he isn't that much younger than Kakashi- and that Obito kid was his relative... As for Sasuke- hell yeah, he should be more interested in where Kakashi got a Sharingan. It bothers me too that he isn't. Unless perhaps Kakashi explained the whole thing to him at some point(implied, and not actually on an episode)... But itherwise, yeah. What the hell is wrong with Sasuke?
Oh, and ya know what bugs me?.... How the hell Kakashi got a Mangekyou Sharingan, when the damn thing isn't even his bloodline limit or anything- and he didn't murder his best friend, right? So.... how in the hell did he get that?! Just for plot development?! Unfair!!! It annoys me that he just suddenly has this wonderful new Sharingan- and then totally pulverized Deidara's arm with it- what the hell was that jutsu he was using anyway? How'd he learn it so fast? That's what's been bugging me- for 2 days now...

How the hell Kakashi got a Mangekyou Sharingan, when the damn thing isn't even his bloodline limit or anything- and he didn't murder his best friend, right? So.... how in the hell did he get that?! Just for plot development?! Unfair!!! It annoys me that he just suddenly has this wonderful new Sharingan- and then totally pulverized Deidara's arm with it- what the hell was that jutsu he was using anyway? How'd he learn it so fast? That's what's been bugging me- for 2 days now... Who's to say you actually have to MURDER your best friend? It could've been how Itachi interpeted the scroll. Or if it's murder that brings about the Mangekyou then, we could go back to Obito's death: Obito died right after Kakashi got the Sharingan therefore, Kakashi technically "murdered" Obito (although, he was dying regardless). Or it could've been at any point of Kakashi life that is STILL unknown (which is a lot). Or it could just be that you have to witness the death of a friend (a la Dragonball Z). As for the technique he used; Kakashi had 3 years to learn it and he's no slouch when it comes to learning techniques 3nodding Or again, he could've learned it during his higly unknown lifetime.

Okay, perhaps there are other ways of getting a Mangekyou Sharingan after all... I suppose there will have to be, since Sasuke kinda needs it to kill Itachi, but yet couldn't kill Naruto to get it... Okay.
But... Kakashi had just gotten it somehow, hadn't he, when Naruto came back after the 3 year jump and when Deidara and Sasori were trying to get Gaara... I thought he had just recently gotten a Mangekyou- but I'll read back and see, I could be wrong. But if I'm right and he just got it, how the hell'd he learn to use it like that so fast?... That's what I don't get... Oh well, whatever. As long as he didn't kill Deidara, I'm cool with it. She'll (he'll? whatever..) get her(his?) arm back somehow I'm sure, and everything will be ok again.. wink

BTW, I think Itachi and Kakashi have different versions of the Mangekyou Sharingan. Unless I'm remembering it wrong. -has the memory of a goldfish-

@Fill.In.Teh.Blank: That bothered me, too. I made the assumption they have three graduation tests a year... or something o___o obviously I'm horribly wrong ^_^;;
@Aurora: It didn't say you had to KILL your best friend. It just said that the bonds of human emotion had to be broken, and getting through that pain will make you stronger. Basically, your friend had to go away and you had to accept it, and dieing is a very convient way for that to happen.

I think Naruto just got in at a young age. He was a orphan child, correct? So he could like... join when he was young...

Eh, forget it. >_o;;;; To be fair, there are people in the series who graduated from the Academy at much younger ages than Naruto (namely Itachi, who was even a chuunin two years younger than any of the Rookie Nine were genin and Kakashi, who became a chuunin at age SIX for Christ's sake). So theoretically, Naruto could have entered the academy itself at a younger age than the rest of the rookie nine.

@SciFiWasabi: The people who graduated/ranked up younger like Itachi and Kakashi did so not because they entered early, but because they were so incredibly skilled the moved hastily through the ranks, so that argument doesn't quite work. Besides, people wouldn't be too eager to allow Naruto into the Academy, especially not soon after the Kyuubi attack. If anything they would make him join late. Remember in the very begining, when he failed to graduate, one adult said something along the lines of, "Can you believe they let him become a Shinobi? Considering what he is..." So no, I doubt with all my heart he entered early.
Besides, the fact he was an orphan would also hinder his enterance. As a very young boy he wouldn't be able to just enroll himself, as much as he might want to.

About Rin;
Didn't Kakashi say, "The names of my two friends are here."? Wouldn't that imply that both Obito and Rin were killed on a mission, thus their names be put up on that memorial-thinimajiger...?
