Alright! Emergency Situation. With a friend. Heh. I bought myself a big white candle today, and what better way than to pray and summon a deities aid to break in said candle.
I want to know what deities, gods and goddesses are out there that can help with being over-worked, emotional stress, mental stress, letting go of toxic people, find love in friendship, family relations and even a searching for a lover. Success in school work, keeping on track, never losing focus, and bringing hope back into his life.
There might be more, but I'll post those another time when I can think of them. I tried to simplify his more major issues in life. He's really in a HUGE funk in life, that I'm afraid he's feeling like he's lost his will to live. /3
I do not live near, otherwise I'd go out and buy him a gemstone(s) to help, or a bag of charms and whatnot that I myself would have did my best to fill with helpful energies. I'd do anything and everything to help him find his way back to sanity. D; Yes, he's a very dear, close and old friend of mine. We've been through alot together no matter the distance between us.

You could just use a pebble.
Services isn't the word I'd use, no wink You serve Them, not the other way around. "Aid" at best, although it's a bit of a sticky situation praying for another person. How do you know your gods like that person? Is your friend religious at all? Will you be stepping on any toes here?
The general idea is to make friends with gods first and ask them for things later, as asking for things from the get-go isn't likely to win you any points. I know Who I would go to for help with some of those things, but not Who you would go to, or Who your friend would go to.

At least till I earn a friendship? EDIT// I suppose I tried to kill two birds with one stone. Heh. Looking for a great reason to start up the candle and jump right in! xD;; Ugh. I need a handle on my over-enthusiasm. redface

On a personal note: I don't, and won't, do any kind of working for someone who isn't aware of what I'm doing, and hasn't assented to it. Just randomly sending energy or performing spellwork for people without their consent can be rude, and sometimes counter-productive. Prayer's a little bit grey-area - it's not magic in itself since you're putting the request into the hands of someone/thing else to handle, but as San said it might not be in line with a person's own beliefs, paradigm, or preferences to do so for them.
But that's personal ethics. Totally up to you to decide.
Having a serious prayer request or magical working that involves a specific God you've never met or worked with is a little like knocking on a stranger's door and asking them to come clean your house. It's kinda rude, and isn't likely to result in what you're looking for. If your friend had a specific deity in their life, that might be a more appropriate direction to address prayers to. And sometimes, if a deity is associated with particular tasks/aliments/skills/etc., you can approach them as a patron of said thing, even if you never have before. But that usually entails making an offering or a promise to be fulfilled when your request is taken care of.
I honestly can't think of any deities that encompasses what you're looking to deal with - which is pretty much just the human condition as an adult. There is no magical cure for that, sadly. If your friend becomes seriously despondent, get him professional help. Until then, just be his friend and help him out when you can.

why not just do a simple candle spell sending positive energy his way and let the universe determine what is best to be done (google candle magick to get some ideas)
And just be a good friend listen to his troubles when you got the chance and if its no skin off your nose help him where you can

Oh, I forgot to mention: My friend has been struggling in his life for years now. Pretty much since I've known him. Its lyke the people and forces around him are making everything big and small a hardship for him. I don't like it, and being far away I want to help him!
So I'm guessing then I will have to just do some praying and positive energy along with asking my friend for permission for sending any gifts such as stones and etc. I don't want to make him feel weird because of how I think I could help. Haha. I can just see his reaction. Gosh.
In the meantime I suppose I could get my altar started and decide once and for all what it is I am going to practice. O= We'll see what happens!
THANK YOU FOR THOSE THAT COMMENTED. I really appreciate the help and advice for me. heart
