Hi everyone, my problem is pretty simple. I don't see myself as a generally shy person, but when it comes to asking a girl out or anything similar to that, it's like my mind and mouth don't want to cooperate. When I say that I don't mean I studded and stammer a lot, I mean I can't seem to just say what's on my mind to the girl. I've sat down and had an hour long conversation with this girl once, but I just couldn't push myself to say, "Hey you want to hang out sometime" or "Hey we should exchange numbers so we can talk outside of work". I've always sucked at kicking off a relationship, that's always one of the biggest problem for me. The only reason I dated my last girlfriend is that we sort of got set up by her cousin who I was friends with.
I really want to go up to her today (tonight) at work and say to her something about how she looked the other day, like flirt with her. Then bring up us exchanging numbers. I mean I get the feeling that she's into me but she's just waiting for me to make a move. I wish I could kick my own butt sometimes for being this way. Does anyone have any advice for someone like me? If so I'd really appreciate it.

You can try looking her up on facebook and writing to her. Or you can write your phone number down ahead of time with a little note that says "Call me sometime!" or something like that, put it in your pocket, then hand it to her as you two are saying goodbye.

I've thought about that, but I was worried that handing her my number would be odd. I suppose that could work though. And if she asked why I could just remind her we were suppose to exchange numbers before.
