Something spectacular had taken place within the shop.. A transformation that could only be a sign of wealth and plenty for the Madame's humble little shop. What once was a dirty little weed, worthless except to bring in a bit of coin, had ended up blossoming over night into something worthy of being auctioned off. Skin as lovely as porcelain, and eyes the brightest amethyst jewels, of which the likes had never been seen before in all of the Madame's years. The weed was no longer a child.. And soon enough, the young man would make her the richest woman in town!

Already he had been given offers for his 'debut' as an official worker of the house, some as far away as three towns down the trading route.. But it was not yet the time for his sale.. No. She wanted nothing more than to set him up for auction, and watch as the blue haired boy and his 'master' bid on him, only to fail as his price soared higher and higher.. With his spirit finally broken, Qiu Shui would finally learn his place, and do what he was born to do. Make her money.

However.. There was something she had learned recently that nearly surpassed her greed for gold. Her daughter.. The one who had run away some time ago, leaving her in charge of this brat.. She had been spotted not too far away. Apparently she was living all cozy with another child on the way on the eastern sea border a few hundred miles away. None of her usual workers dared to go there, as the pathway between her town and the sea was known as a thief's paradise, with many places to hide and ambush.. Luckily enough for her, another one of Qiu Shui's more.. 'precious' visitors had a reputation of being a rather notorious assassin.. And was pretty easily reachable.

Without a word to anyone, she sent out a message to the man named Dao Ye Shou, with a hefty paying price.. Her daughter would be back here, back home no matter what the cost. Even if it meant that man she loved dies, and she's dragged back her by the roots of her hair.

Normally Dao Ye Shou would have waved off the silly message that he had received from the madame. He wasn't someone that would waste his time playing gopher for someone because their brat child had run away. It was tempting to just ignore the message, pretend that he never got it, perhaps kill the messenger so that the man couldn't run back to her to say he'd refused. There were two things that stopped him though. Firstly he didn't want to put the woman at odds with him, not when she was in charge of the too pretty little flower known as Qiu Shui, if he refused her demands she might refuse him the company of the flower. The second thing being the offer the woman had made. His services never came cheap but what she'd offered to him was something that he normally asked for when killing a political official. Apparently getting her brat back meant a lot to her to offer him such a price... and then there was that added bonus of the Madame not caring how he went about it. So long as the woman was returned to where she belonged he would get his payment.

It was something he'd finally decided upon and he was soon heading out, leaving Fu Ts'ang alone at home with promises of getting him the gift he'd been asking for so long as he behaved himself. A difficult thing for the spoiled child of course, but Dao Ye Shou knew full well that the brat would do anything for more gifts. It was what made him easy to control.

It didn't take him all that long to make it down the Thieves Road, not as though a single one of them didn't know who he was after all. Was it really worth it, putting their mangy hides on the line in hopes that he was carrying something on him? He could see them hiding behind the trees, watching him, debating their odds, but one steely eyes glance from him and they seemed to back off. It wasn't worth it, not to stand against him, not to risk their lives against someone with his reputation, it was best that let him pass and chase easier prey. After the long walk down to the sea side city he hunkered down, waiting for nightfall. He knew where he needed to go, he'd offered coin to a couple of foolish children for directions and they had only been too happy to help. All he needed was the cover of night and he was moving once more, heading toward the home of his lovely prey, it would give them one last romantic night together before he ended it all.

Dao Ye Shou shrugged out of his warm, heavy cloak, hanging it over the branch of a tree as he moved into the yard, drifting across it without making a sound other then the slight hiss as his blade slid forth from it's sheath. He circled the house once, finding the perfect way in, and was soon moving through the quaint little house, using the shadows to his advantage, and he moved up behind the man of the house swiftly, his sword cutting the weakling down before he was even aware that Dao Ye Shou was there. He flicked his sword to the side to rid it of the mans inferior blood before he turned to the woman, "Lady Chio, your mother requests your presence." He said, giving a smirk before closing in on her...

A cold breeze swept though the village that night.. Far chillier than what was to be expected so early in the autumn season, and Chio felt that the entire situation was overly ominous. Her husband simply smiled at her, suggesting that it was time to lay down her worries and be joyous, as they had learned that once before the winter solstice, they would have a little token of their love in their arms. For a long while, she had not thought she deserved such a thing, having abandoned her first child so many months ago.. But who was he to judge her actions! Who was anyone to decide her fate! She wanted to escape, to taste that delicious freedom that had been once nothing but a dream, and she did! Even if she had to leave that child behind.

Now, she laid in her bed, watching the shadows dance across the room as her love moved about the kitchen, fixing one last cup of tea before they were to lay down and rest for the evening. And for some reason he was having more difficulty than he should have. The pretty, brown haired woman stood and made her way to the kitchen, readying herself with a smile for when she met the gaze of her love.

She met with his body on the floor instead, the wood beneath her feet stained with blood that spread out quicker than whatever could have seem natural. Chio could not scream, no, instead, her hand reached out for one of the knives that rested on the countertop, and she gripped it clumsily in her hands, before charging at the man who stood above her husband. He would NOT get away from this alive! Not if she could help it! Bliss was so very close to her grasp! How dare this man try to steal it away!

Dao Ye Shou watched the woman as she came at him with a knife, a much different reaction then he'd expected, he'd expected fear and screaming, but no matter, this was more interesting. He slid to one side to avoid the thrust of her blade, "You are made of sterner stuff, aren't you? It will aid you in the trip back home now won't it." He murmured, one hand reaching out to catch hold of the girl's wrist, twisting it in an attempt to get her to drop her weapon. It really was a useless effort on her part but he would allow the struggles, it would help in waring her out after all, which would make it easier for him to drag her back. He was already thinking on the payment that he'd been offered, one that would buy many things that his family needed and plenty that the spoiled little dragon wanted, it would be glorious. Not to mention that it would aid him in his coming battle against his brother.

After a time he gave a sigh, "If you are done we have places to be. I can't be away too long lest my contractor thing that I am slacking off at my job." He said, sheathing his long sword before he started toward the back door. He needed to retreive his cloak, wrap himself in it, and the two of them would start back down the Thieves Road. It would be a bit more of a pain in the a** with him having to drag an unwilling female along with him but he would have to make due. He just had to keep reminding himself about the payment that he would receive when this whole ordeal was over. There were reasons he normally wouldn't bother with this sort of job, those reasons being that he just didn't want to deal with the living. It was far easier when he could just cut down a target, take their pinky as proof, and be on his way. Ahh... he should have gotten the pinky of the husband, shouldn't he? Ah well, the woman would likely be proof enough that he'd dealt with the man, she was sure to complain about it after all.

"We have a long walk ahead of us, you should get your shoes." He said, pausing at the back door, pushing Chio toward where her shoes sat, "Do so quickly or I will make you walk back barefoot." He could care less what condition the woman's feet were in by the time they got back, so long as she was present then he had fulfilled the contract.

AH! If only she were not with child right now, she could have fought back harder, she could have actually managed to flee fast enough.. Instead, he held her as if she were just some child, fighting against some large demon.

"I will NOT go back to that whore house! I've served my time! You cannot force me to leave this place!" She screamed at him, hoping that atleast some of the neighbors could hear her. Normally such a soft spoken person, surely her screaming would awaken someone..

There was a moment where Dao Ye Shou starred down at the woman before he lifted her up off the ground with one hand, "I would say that I can in fact force you to go back. Feel free to go about escaping again once you get back there all you like, that is when you will no longer be my problem." She was his problem now though, he needed to get her back to get paid after all, "Come along, girl. If you don't want your shoes then you can walk back barefoot. I was never specifically told that you needed to be all in one piece, just that you needed to get back there." In fact the woman said he could drag her back by the hair so he doubted bloodied up feet would cost him any of his substantial pay.

"You won't get in the way of me and my pay, please walk on your own, I'd rather not have to knock you out with the hilt of my sword as he pulled her along, out the back door, and toward where he'd hung up his cloak. It was time that they got going, he had better things to do then wait as the girl flailed about and yelled at him like some sort of enraged spirit.

Realizing that no one was coming, that this man could smite her down in an instant, Chio stopped in her struggles, a bit wiser of a woman than most would think, contemplating his words. If she could make it back.. She could burn that b***h's place to the ground, and take back the son she had left there so long ago! Certainly, that could not make up for what this man did, killing her husband so ruthlessly and needlessly as he did.. But if she could get her son to forgive hr.. Maybe it would be worth it.

The woman, though she hated to admit it, was much like her mother. Selfish, Greedy, but for other things than gold.

"Fine. We can go. But let's take my horse. I'm pregnant, and I shouldn't be walking."

There was a long moment where Dao Ye Shou starred down at the short, though round, woman before he gave a slow nod of his head, "Alright, but don't think for a moment to try to flee once you are on the horse." He said, patting the weapon at his side, "I will not hesitate to cut the beast's legs out from under it, a waste if you ask me." A good horse could be hard to come by when one wasn't wealthy and to waste it by having to kill it to keep his prey from escaping, it wasn't something he would wished to do. If anything he could sell the beast and make himself some extra coin on the side once he dropped the woman off at the brothel.

A short time later the two of them were heading into the stable where the large beast was kept. Dao Ye Shou gave the creature a once over, then nodded. Not bad, better then expected in fact, but he didn't spend much more then a moment studying the creature before he pushed Chio toward it, "Get it ready and let us be off." He said, not in the mood to be standing around for too terribly much longer. He knew the walk back would be more difficult then the walk here, he was stuck protecting more then his own back after all and the thieves would see the woman and the beast as prime targets. Bah, what a bother... again he was thinking over how much he hated this sort of job and how this was the last time he was going to go about it. Killing, that was where he excelled, it asked for a lot less of him when it came to all of this... socializing.

No matter, by tomorrow he'd be done with all of this, his pockets would be filled, and he'd be a much happier man with a dragon begging for presents. Now that, that was what he'd much rather be doing, dealing with Fu Ts'ang's desire for various things or visiting with the flower. Ahh, now there was a definite bonus to think about, the fact that he could see Qiu Shui again when he dropped the woman off. He'd focus on that he thought to himself, relaxing ever so slightly now that he had that nice goal in mind.

Chio gave no further struggle, and prepared her horse, covering it's back in blankets, as well as grabbing the emergency pack she had in the barn with it. Even as far away as she was from her mother's home, there was no real quelling the fear in her heart of being dragged away. If only she had not gotten herself pregnant, she could have fought back harder, or atleast sneak out of the house and dash out into the night. Unfortunately, that was not the case..

She obediently mounting the beast and pulling her cloak around her a bit tighter. Such an ominous wind was blowing through the sleepy coastal town. And her belly just ached, the cold seeping right into her bones..

"I.. I don't feel too well.. Perhaps we could just wait til the morning."
