Shoujo-ai and yuri are terms for romantic and/or sexual relations between two females. They are generally used to refer to girl-love in anime and manga, but they can be applied in other contexts as well.
Shoujo-ai usually refers to softer, more romantic girl-love with a far less sexual influence. Yuri is a general term applied to all girl-love, but can also be used to refer specifically to the more sexual or sexually explicit works in the genre.

2. Is this guild only for girls?
Of course not! As it says on the front page, this guild is for everyone who enjoys shoujo-ai. There are a lot of girls here, but it doesn't matter what your gender is, you're welcome as long as you like yuri!
3. Where can I find some good shoujo-ai/yuri series?
There are lots of resources for this in the guild's Pocky Shop. Several members have made lists of series with shoujo-ai content (Winget's Anime List is a good example). Swing by and take a look at these lists and the other series being discussed there--even if the series isn't explicitly shoujo-ai, other series with many popular pairing possibilities are also discussed in that subforum. You're sure to get lots of good recommendations there!
4. What do "tachi" and "neko" mean?
"Tachi" and "neko" are terms used to refer to the dominant (tachi) and submissive (neko) partners in a homosexual relationship. "Tachi" comes from the Japanese word for weasel and "neko" from the Japanese word for cat. These terms can be used for both yaoi and yuri couplings, although the terms "seme" and "uke" are more popular in the yaoi fandom.
5. I'm interested in being a crew member in the guild. How can I become a guild moderator?
One of the most obvious ways to become a crew member is to try applying for a position. Details for crew applicationsa re located here.
The crew does have an influence on whether you are picked to become a moderator. Each crew member has an idea of what makes a good or bad guild moderator, but traits such as responsibility, dedication, and activity are a few good examples. If you're here quite a lot, make efforts to follow the rules, and help others out and remind them to follow rules as well, you make an impression upon the crew.
When we're in need of more help, the crew often recommends or supports nominations for individuals that they feel stand out and would make good moderators in the guild. This way, you're more likely to be promoted to moderator status.

Can anyone reccomend any good yuri/shojo-ai mangas? biggrin I just can't seem to find anything out of the hints in CCS and Sailor Moon and Utena just couldn't keep my intrest. sweatdrop

Just wondering, would it be okay to put up a Picture Post topic for actual member pictures? I've been wanting to post my pictures (because I'm a camera whore... >.>; ), and the other picture post thread is more for art than pictures...

Of course I can't find it at Borders now. xp

There willb e role plays soon, however I myself won't be setting any up that I'll be playing in. Well thoughtout RolePlays are welcomed to be setup however int he RolePlaying Subforum for now until I begin to manage it more closely.

You are welcome to set them up in the RolePlaying subforum, and if there are any noticeable problems I'll let you know so you can fix them. But I doubt it. ^^ Just make sure it stays clean, images and text. (even images in links)
