Temperatures throughout the island have been drastically dropping. The climate change is affecting crops and wildlife, not to mention making it unbearably cold for the tropical island's denizens.
As God of the North Wind, the responsibility to control the cold wind has been bestowed upon Adelphos. It appears the North Wind has escaped from Aura Nin Mountains to wreak havoc upon the warm island.
It is Adelphos' task to reign in the North Wind, exert his control over the frigid element, and allow the warmth to return to the island. If he is unable to complete this task by the beginning of February, tropical Telrunya may see one of her harshest winters ever.
((It is up to you how you resolve this matter. Further prompts will come when Adelphos as completed his task, either successfully or not.))

The weather had been up to some funny tricks lately, Adelphos thought, and he wasn't the one playing with it. It had been getting awfully cold, and he'd overheard a lot of Pae complaining about the cold and the effect it was having on crops. It had taken him a few days of thinking and exploring to come to the conclusion that something was up with the North Wind.
Adelphos shivered a bit in the cold wind as it swirled around him. That was strange for him; usually he welcomed a chill in the air, but this was getting to be too much. The low temperatures were beginning to be overwhelming and it was his job to figure out why this was happening. Scratch that, he knew what happened. His job was to fix it. He'd found out he'd had an affinity for cold as a child, but it was more recently as a teenager that he'd realized what it meant. Figuring out that he was apparently the God of the North Wind was...eye-opening to say the least. That particular knowledge had come with more responsibility than he really knew what to do with. As he'd gotten older, the title and responsibility had settled a little easier on his shoulders and he had grown more comfortable with the powers he'd been born with. Winters had come and gone with no problems, until this year.
Along with the control he was able to exert over cold air, frost, and snow, he'd gotten a sense of where the North Wind at all times. Until lately, it had stayed right where it belonged, hovering over the Aura Nin Mountains. Somehow, it had escaped and it was affecting crops and wildlife as well as making the entire island so cold that even he was shivering in the wind. He couldn't have that. He wasn't entirely confident in his ability to control the suddenly rebellious North Wind, but he had to try. There was a chance he could fail miserably and he'd carry the guilt and blame for what could be one of the harshest winters in all of Telrunya's history for a long time. But it would make him better.
Or, he could be successful, which was of course the best case scenario and the one he was most hopeful for. Presently, he was making his way to where he'd sensed the North Wind and racking his brain for a way to make it heel. Possibly a way to lock it up at Aura Nin so this wouldn't happen again. So. The question was, how did one harness the wind? Answer: you didn't. If you were normal. But Adelphos wasn't normal. He was a demi-god, and the North Wind was his domain. That thought gave him more confidence for what he needed to do.
Now that he was in the area with the North Wind, chill bumps exploded over his skin. The extra wind generated by his wings wasn't helping either. "Right," he murmured to himself. "Now, how should I go about this..." What could possibly be the best way to rein in the unruly wind? He snorted softly at that thought; unruly, like the wind had a mind of its own. It certainly seemed that way now, since it had wandered away from its home mountain. He shivered again as he thought. Then it hit him. How did farmers gain control over out of control animals? They made a lasso and roped it in, right? So, what if he made a rope out of wind and used it to grab the North Wind and haul it back to Aura Nin? Sounded plausible to him.
Stretching a hand out, he called the cold wind to him and concentrated on it, watching the swirling wind swirl faster as it compressed tighter and lengthened until it formed the rope in his hands. "Perfect." Then he started a path around the North Wind, flying fast, then faster, and moving in smaller circles to compress it further. Making a loop with the rope of wind, he slung it around the North Wind and hoped for the best.((Wheee. Hope I did this right x3 <3)) ((Edit 1/30/14: Added a bit more <3))

Adelphos has successfully reigned in the North Wind, and exerted his control over the unruly entity. From now on, the North Wind is completely under his control.
Successfully completing this task has pleased his family, and he has been granted an invitation to Dolandor; mist-shrouded island home of the Pae'il Deity. This invitation is a special privilege, so don't squander it. wink
=======================
A pink, chubby little mellon in a diaper and earmuffs flitted about, poking at Adelphos. He has a letter to deliver.
Quote: My Dearest Grandson,
It is my privilege to personally invite you to my ENGAGEMENT PARTY on February 14, the Day of Love! You may bring a date if you like. There will be dancing, food, a string band and lots of tributes to Me!
Requested Gift: A beautiful ice sculpture crafted from the ice created by the North Wind!
Love Always, Venus ~
P.S. Thank you for getting rid of that dreadful cold weather. It might have ruined my party.
