Yes it true maybe right now it is only a concept but there are rumors that there will be a new one useing its original cast
Much in the same way that the Austin Powers sequel out-grossed its predecessor with one strong opening weekend, Buffy, the Vampire Slayer 2 looks to have a similar scenario. The original Buffy only managed to scrape together $16 million in 1992, with the resulting TV show finding a core audience in 1997. Since Buffy 2 is based on the television show using many of the same actors, the film could plausibly out-pace the original mid-way through its second day at the box office. Rumors about the sequel set Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and her cohorts in the distant future, where vampires outnumber humans by a significant margin.
that is from the hollywood stock exchange if anyone was wondering so what do you think should there be another movie? i think ill go see it

OH heck yes. there should be another movie and another, and m,ore seasons, and everyting thing. And if they did make a movie, With the same cats. No just one same person. Then they will score big with the money. The fans will come crwling in the theaters. I would so go see it ^^

Sounds like aload of bollocks to me. Personally I can't see them doing that at all. If they do I'll be surprised, but don't believe everything you read on the net!

i don't think they will be doing either.David Boreanaz won't do it. James Marster is up for it as are most of the cast. A spike or faith movie would be good

oh i really really hope this is true! if it was i would see the movie in the theaters 100 times and buy the movie when it came out!!! i am dying for some new buffy material!!! blaugh

Might I ask your source? I would really love to believe a Buffy movie might be in the works, but Boreanaz and Gellar are being. . . stressed

They're also planning a animated Buffy show (have everyone cast, apparently), and also they've got "Ripper" stashed away somewhere, but no word on whether those are go-no-go yet or not.

mine is a wierd source but im so sure that it is acurate its called hsx.com or the hollywood stock exchange but yes i can not wait for the animation series and is ripper the giles show?

I would love it. I would go see it. The only way I could be happy with it is if it's all original Buffy cast. If any characters are played by other actors/actress I would be serverly dissapointed. I would also be dissapointed if their where any strange pairings.

JaffaGiles David Boreanaz won't do it. Actually if they were to do it I think he probably would. Since him, Nick Brendon, Anthony Stewart Head and Alyson Hannigan I've all expressed an interested in voicing there appropriate characters in the Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Animated Series I'd say it's quite likely. Also it's not like Angel would be a major player since he left Buffy. Your sting in the tail is Sarah 'I'm too good for Buffy now' Michelle Gellar. She's so up herself she won't even voice the computer games, let alone anything else. I hate folk who don't appreciate the people who got them where they are!

Anyway, if it's true they're doing a second Buffy movie, then, cool, although I do seem to remember Joss Whedon talking about *not* doing a Buffy movie...

Sarah is probably busy, she said Buffy was a huge deal for her, and that she WOULD come back for a film...if she believed it would fulfill it's pupose. But believe it or not Sarah actually cares enough to let it go, because she feels she has done all she can in that lifetime.
