   XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~Speeding fast through the dim forest tripping on branches and running into trees the tiny girl ran for her life. Forming balls of fists out of her petite hands she could feel something forming, something cold and hard. Her eyes filled with tears from the wind hitting hard against them. Trying to control her breathing the blond ran into what at first she thought was another tree but ended up being a man. A branch broke underneath her as she fell hard on the ground. She stared up at the man standing in front of her with her eyes still filled with tears. The girl couldn't make out what exactly she was looking at. Wiping away the tears she ignored the rude comment the man gave her and avoided looking at him to show her new hate towards a person she doesn't even know. After a short pause she regained her breath and jumped up after hearing a noise from a distance. ~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~After being lifted by the man she got a better look at him noticing his chiseled figure. She caught her balance which led to him letting go. After processing what the man said to her and watching him race away she ran after him trying to keep up. Thoughts kept racing through her mind if she could trust him or not but either way she didn't know where she was going. Branches continued to cut her legs as she ran as fast as she could trying her best to keep up. At this point it was harder to run after someone than away from them. Balling her hands into fists she felt another cold hard object form in her fists. Her chest started to burn, the burning raced though her body into every muscle until her feet became numb causing her to drop the objects in her hand. Not being fast enough or having enough energy to keep up she had no choice but to stop. She didn't want to call for him thinking he wouldn't stop for her. The fear of being alone rushed through her head and with ought thinking twice she yelled, "Wait!" ~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --It takes ten times as long to put yourself back together, His breath hitched every step he took, he could feel the cold wind gust against his skin as he rushed to get away from anyone behind him. Ryker could hear the females tiny quick footsteps as he ran, although due to his long legs he was much faster then she was. The footsteps slowly fadded until he could only hear his own, roughly haulting the slender male spun himself around and glanced around for the female. She was no where to be found, now Ryker could feel a tight rock form in his stomach. What if she was caught by the person she was getting away from? What were they going to do to her? Where was sh-.. Shooting his head in the direction of a high scream Ryker thought for a second, then without a jogging start he sprinted off in the direction only hoping that the tiny blonde was alone and not with anyone else.
Waving his arms he ducked and waved to get away from branches, soon stopping at the sight of a small figure he stepped closer to make out the female from the darkness. Walking over to her as his chest rose and sank from the heavyness in his breath Ryker looked down at her, she didnt look like she had the energy to run any longer. "Common, we gotta get outta here." Reaching down he hooked one arms under her knees and placed the other on her back waiting tell she held onto him before setting off in a run again. This time Ryker was a bit slower, not because of the girl because she was the weight of a feather but because he was getting tired. After pushing though what seemed like endless amounts of trees the two were out of the forest and in an opening. Stopping at a dead hault Ryker leaned back slightly as a car zoomed past them sending a gust of wind their way. By this time the poor girl must have been freezing, but not him that was all thanks to the cells of fire in his blood making his skin a bit warmer then any normal human. Backing out of the street and onto the grass the male set her down resting his hands on his knees as he huffed trying to catch his breath. "What a ******** work out!" as it does to fall apart.-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~Being carried by the man made Gemma feel that she could trust him, but for how long? There was a warmth surrounding him that she liked and made her comfortable in his arms, not that she was cold since she is genetically contains ice cells and this makes her immune to the cold. Unwrapping her arms from his neck she watched the hunched over male try to catch his breath. She knew she had to thank him but she wasn't really good with words. She wasn't raised like the everyday child was. "th...thanks" She said quickly while turning her head trying to hide her embarrassment that she had just stuttered. A sudden burst of energy filled her body for no reason what so ever and a huge smile covered her face. "Oh my gosh that was so much fun and your kind of like my hero." Gemma said quickly under one breath in aloud upbeat voice. She walked over to him and patted him on the head as if praising a dog. She spun around and started to dance off towards the street catching the attention of a passing car.~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~As the man spun her around she flared her arms in the air yelling, "Wheeeee." She turned to face the man that spun her away from the street. Furrowing her eyebrows in confusion to why he spun her around. She stared at him blankly with her hands at her side and rocking on the balls of her feet when he asked her if she planed on taking a cab. Getting angry at his question Gemma responded "I was going to get a ride but you scared them away." She crossed hear arms over each other and in a soft voice added, "I don't know where I am going." Looking around Gemma noticed the daylight disappearing. quickly the darkness rose around them and the lights from the passing cars seemed to get brighter.~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --It takes ten times as long to put yourself back together, Hearing her comment Ryker's strong jaw literally dropped. She couldnt be serious right? She was jumping in front of cars to catch a ride? Now he was for sure the girl had some kind of mental illness. When she began looking around and telling him she had no where to go Ryker rolled his eyes, he smacked his hand onto his forehead and shook his head. Dropping his hand the man looked over at the seemingly younger female, he let out a sigh and placed his hands on his hips. "Alright so you're hopeless alone and I can't just leave you out here to fend for yourself."
Walking up by the side of the street he put out his arms giving a thumbs up to the side and waiting. Soon after a cab drove up by their side, the rugged old man rolled down his window and asked the two if they needed a ride in his rusted Australian accent. Ryker looked over his shoulder at the female before nodding at the man in the car. "Yeah actually." Grabbing the tiny blonde by her wrist the blue eyed male pulled the cab door open before helping her in. Shutting her side door he jogged around the back of the cab getting into the car next to her, tapping the back of the drivers seat Ryker got the mans attention away from the road and onto him. "Take us to the nearest hotel." The male asked. The driver nodded, he turned the meter on and began to drive, soon after clearing his throaght. "So, you two love birds on a date tonight?" The old man asked winking towards the two though the front mirror of the vehicle. Knitting his eyebrows together Ryker blinked for a moment, he glanced at the female quick before looking back at the man in the drivers seat. "What? No, keep driving jolly man." He snapped as an embarrased blush flushed his cheeks, turning his head towards the window Ryker placed his elbow on the sill sitting his chin in his hand. as it does to fall apart.-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~Frowning at what the man had just said about her, Gemma was about to shoot a comment back but then forgot instantly what she was going to say. Noticing his perfect toned body Gemma stood silently petting herself while watching the man hail for a cab. After the cab drove up and Gemma was seated inside with the stranger she grabbed her seatbelt immediately and clipped it into place. Gemma quickly noticed that the man had not put on his seatbelt so she leaned over as far as her seatbelt would let her and leaned one arm on his broad shoulders and with the other arm she grabbed his seatbelt and clipped it into place. Quietly under her breath she mumbled "Seatbelts, so we can be safe." Gemma leaned her head on the window listening to the noise that passing cars made. She watched every street lamp that they passed waiting for them to turn on until her eyelids began to get heavy. Gemma was almost half asleep until the car came to a strong halt and Gemma's head jumped back and flew right into the window hitting her hard enough to keep her awake. She fixed her hair after it flew into her face and noticed her window. Frost covered the window like a giant snowflake from where she banged her head. Quickly she rubbed away the frost from the window with her hands and dried them on her shorts. ~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --It takes ten times as long to put yourself back together, Flinching slightly Ryker shot his head towards the small blonde as she leaned against him, looking down at her the male arched his eyebrows in confusion. Soon his seatbelt was glided past his chest and into the lock before the female leaned away muttering a saying he thought must have been from a childrens show. After a long car ride of Ryker just starring out the window and the small girl near him snoring lightly the car pulled to a stop. Glancing out the window the male looked up at the hotel building. Tossing the money onto the passangers seat the blonde opened his door and hoped out, making his way to the other side he pulled the females door open and waited for her to get out.
After entering the hotel building the two strangers walked together to the front desk. Tapping the bell Ryker waited for someone to come their way. A little while after a tall thin female with long brown hair and bright green eyes showed up, pulling his lips into a smirk the blonde male leaned on the counter slightly when she asked if she could help him. "That depends, if you help me can I help you sometime?" He asked winking at the brunette, the female smiled and let out a soft giggle placing her hair behind her ear. "Im gonna need two rooms, can you do that for me babe?" But the female shook her head at him with a smile which made Ryker raise a brow. Sorry we only have one room at the moment." That was the males que to roll his eyes, he let out a sigh muttering a small "perfect" to himself and nodded at the suggestion. "Name please, right here." The female pointed at a line and Ryker signed it under a fake name of course before paying the female. He smiled at her and she smiled back bitting her lip. "See ya around beautiful." He cooed towards her with his smooth charm before turning towards the small blonde he had been traveling with, waving the hotel key card at her he smirked and made his way to their room with her. Swiping the card hr pulled the door open and walked in with the blonde before shutting the door behind them. as it does to fall apart.-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~Gemma laughed to herself seeing his pathetic attempt to flirt. She raised an eyebrow at the stranger waving a key card in front of her. Entering the room Gemma stops in front a bed, just one. she swallowed hard and a warmth came across her body but not out of being nervous but from the man standing next to her. the room was pretty empty except for the bed sitting up against the wall and the television in front of it. She took a step deeper into the room she got a good look into the bathroom which contained a shower, sink, hairdryer, and some complementary items like towels and soaps. She walked over to the bed side table and picked up the remote that was sitting on a Bible. She turned to face the stranger which had been at her side the whole afternoon but never learned her name. She though of something clever to say but only came up with, "I'm Gemma." Gemma bowed her head letting her bangs fall in her face.~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~x~o~XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
