A young Avalon Fairy flit around aimlessly towards the small home near the Mereth Falls. He stopped to watch a caterpillar inch across a branch, and stumbled a few times when he dipped too low. The letter in his hands was wadded up, and it made for a good hacky sack.

Eventually, the little fairy arrived at his destination. He knocked on the door, unknowing if the recipient was home or not. If she wasn't, he was not coming back! "Too far." he considered.

He hovered in front of the door of the cottage that served as the home of Estralita's clan. The message he had needed to be delivered to Beldaran only.

If Beldaran answers the door, he will hand her a ragged little letter that had been wadded up and was a little dirty from all the times the fairy dropped it in the mud of the forest. It might be damp as well, but don't ask from what.

If anyone else answers the door, he will flip them off and fly away, dropping the note in a bush.

Mysterious Sender

Help me.

It was written in beautiful script that obviously took time to scribe.

The fairy waited only a few seconds, tapping his foot in the air. He pulled a tiny quill from behind his ear (where did that come from)? and scribbled something on the back.

((Shicala, Beldaran has been given a task. You have 7 days to complete this task starting at 11:59pm June 3, 2015. You can choose to respond to this prompt anyway you want, as long as Beldran gets the message. You may make as many posts as you need, and another prompt will follow as soon as Beldaran reaches the destination, or decides this could be a trick and ignores the message.))

There was movement inside the window of the house, Bel looked out the window, she didn't initially notice the small fairy and the drapes closed. A moment later though she pulled open the door with a look of curiosity on her face, by the time she'd opened the door the fairy had finished writing. On her hip was her young daughter Skylie, the white haired child was babbling at her mom. Bel reaches to take the wadded up page being thrust her direction, this brought her daughter a little closer to take it and the toddler, curious by the small fairy reached for the flying creature. "No no Sky" Bel said gently trying to avoid her daughter catching hold of the fairy, once the toddler got ahold of something it wasn't always easy to extract it from her hands.

Bel shifted the weight of the toddler and eventually sat her down by her feet, much to sky's discontent, so she could unwad the paper. It was by all appearances an old dirty crumpled piece of paper, but the words on the damp page made Bel's brow raise "Help me?" she reads aloud... "Help who?" she turned the paper in her hands looking for further clues, and then eventually turned it over. She saw the scribble, it didn't look as scripted as the main text "HQ?" she looked back towards the fairy "Head Quarters? But those are gone, surely noone would be there..."

She reached back down picking up her fussing daughter once again, looking over her shoulder into the house she stepped out and then used the hand with the crumpled paper to pull the door closed. "I guess I should find out" she says to noone in particular and turns in the direction of where the HQ once stood taking to the air holding Skylie close. She didn't look to see if the fairy was following her, if he did then so be it, the note be it as dirty and vague as it was, had her curious. Who was the mysterious writer and why had the note been delivered to her, or was it meant for one of the others in the house, regardless the answers to these questions she was going to find out.

It was evening a few days later before she arrived at the spot where the HQ once stood, she'd not been there since the ruins had been cleared up but the view was breathtaking in the evening light. She glanced at Skylie who had fallen asleep against her holding tight to her arm as she leaned her head against her mother's chest listening to her heartbeat.

Overlooked by the angel and the clinging creature at her side, a small tattered trade stand tent rests on the exact spot the old Head Quarters once occupied. A breeze gently wafts by, carrying the scent of candy right towards Beldaran. Inside the tent, clearly visible through the open flap, stands a rickety and splintered wooden table. Behind the table sits a hooded figure. Cloaked by the shadows of the tent, only their mouth was visible.

"Beldaran. I've been expecting you."

Upon closer inspection, she could see the same bumbling fairy (who would have rather died than follow an angel.) perched on the stranger's shoulders, sucking on a lollipop. A hand slowly reaches up towards the fairy and flicks him away. "Transaction complete."

With attention back on Beldaran, the figure puts their hands together and rests them on the table. A grin spreads across their face. "Come closer, my dear. I need your help. I need you to retrieve this item." They turn a hand over and a sheet of parchment unfurls.

A single rune is scrawled on the parchment.

While Beldaran looks at the parchment, the stranger rises to their feet and twirls their cape in a dastardly villain flourish and disappears from the tent.

Crawling towards Beldaran, the little fairy drags a dirt-and-grass covered lollipop behind him. "That jerk." he squeaks. And without provocation, he chucks that sucker right at the angel.

(stuck also to the lollipop is a clue about the item the mysterious stranger needs. A tiny little scrap of paper with FHH written on it.)

Bel smiled and sighed softly after enjoying the view for a moment "All righty then lets see if we can find anything out Sky" she said softly so not to wake up the child. She turned and looked around her, her eyes landed on a small old tent and her nose picked up... candy? that was odd. She walks up and peeks in the open flap it certainly didn't seem impressive of a tent at all, in front of her the table and there was a cloaked person. Before she could speak though they did and what they said surprised her, "Me? Why would you expect me?" It was then that she noticed that small fairy which had given her the dirty note, well that explained teh candy smell... She watches the fairy get flicked away 'transaction???' that confused the angel.

She was brought back to attention away from the fallen fairy when the hooded figure spoke to her again. Shifting the toddler a bit she moved closer as the figure requested. 'I need your help' she heard, so he ... or she... needed her help? Well she had expected something far more urgent, like a lost person or a person in danger but ok. "My help?" she questions as the figure turns their hands over reveiling the parchment. Her free hand reaches for the parchment inspecting it, the rune was confusing, but before she could even think to question any of this the figure was gone. "Wait!" she called out to no avail in the direction the hooded figure once was "Well that doesn't explain much" she mutters. The scuffling of the crawling fairy draws Bel's attention downward towards the fairy once more, poor little guy. She was about to reach down and help him up when he throws his treat at her, it makes her jump as she'd not expected it which in turn woke Skylie and she whined and sits up in her mom's arms rubbing her eyes. "Shhh, it's ok" she bounces slightly before moving to pick up the sweet and put it on the table. "and you think you are any less of one throwing things at paes?" she lightly scolds him.

Turning back to the original parchement she sets it on the table for a moment while she adjusts Skylie to her other side. The child didn't want to but eventually Bel had her on the opposite side and Sky re-clung to an arm leaning sleepily against her mom in the evening light. Moving to pick up the parchment again she notices a small paper on the nearby lollipop and instead of picking up the parchment she lifts the lollipop ignoring any protests from the small fairy as she brings it closer to her eyes. She was treating anything as clues towards the stranger's request, after all he or she gave her so little to work with. Squinting at it she examined it, it didn't seem all that clear either "FHH?" she says quietly and turns over the dirty lollipop in hopes of more, but there was nothing. "Hmm odd" she mutters and puts the lolli back down and picks the parchment up and walks back out of the tent, she looked out over the small portion of the isle she could see, surely what the figure wanted had to be on this isle. "fhh... fhh... what does that have to do with this rune... or am I just being too hopeful that they are even connected" she mumbles quietly to herself. She pondered this idea for several minutes rolling up the parchment as she did. "The initials on the first paper led me hear so why not" she mumbles and then closes her eyes thinking of what those initials could stand for.

"What do you think Sky?" she asks the toddler not expecting more then a quiet babble which is exactly what she gets. "Not any of the forests, I doubt in the water I don't think I could hold my breath long enough for that" she muses as she thinks about all the places on the island she hadn't been to in many seasons since none of the normal locations were sticking out to her mind. She mulled over multiple ideas until she thought of the healing house. "Well that would fit the initials on that paper at least" she said mostly to herself but aloud. "Guess it never hurts to try" she looked at her daughter who now fought going back to sleep "Maybe I shoulda left you at home little Sky" she says quietly and kisses the top of her daughter's head "but then you woulda just fussed with me away wouldn't you have" her daughter had been going through the clingy stage in the recent weeks. "Oh well lets try that healing house Sky" she rolled up the parchment and took to the air. She knew the trip to the healing house was going to take time and thought about her route and where she could stop for breaks along the way. If she had thought the flight to the old HQ place took a while, but the Falassion Healing House twice as much time had passed and Bel was tired of flying.

The Fallassion House of Healing. One of the oldest establishments on Telrunya. Built by Avalon fairies to care for the Pae'il when they reawakened and were few in number (and not raised by a humanoid caretaker). Now serving as an exotic getaway spa and hospital for the severely injured or anti-social pae who don't know any healers. The building is large, old-fashioned and built on large support posts so that it does not rest on the ground. This is for safety reasons. That is all the fairies will say. Safety reasons.

It is headed by the High Matriarch. (Beware)

At the decorated cottage, busy fairies zip around. It is a high energy place, and hard to get the attention of any of them. A few side-eye the angel, but carry on ignoring her presence. Behind one of the building's support posts - the one closest to Beldaran - a little fairy waves to the angel, gesturing for her to come closer. He looks nervous, constantly checking his surroundings.

Two large squirrels sit behind the fairy, one looking like it might have a little saddle on it. Peculiar. The other darts off, afraid after getting a whiff of something in the air.

((Beldaran has two choices. She can go into the healing house or respond to the fairy's call.))

Bel stared up at the building for a time and then looked around, nothing seemed quite as obvious as the previous place she'd stopped in her attempt to help... the cloaked figure? She was debating what to do when she saw more then simply flying movement in the corner of her eyes. A look of cuirousity rolled across her face when she saw a small fairy hiding from the rest but still beconing her closer. she didn't, know if it was against better judgement or not but she decided to find out what that little fairy wanted, after all it was a fairy that got her started on all this to begin with. Bel walked closer to the little fairy not even thinking to look at any other fairy that may be watching her. "Yes?" she questioned softly when she was close to him

The little saddled and bridled squirrel grew restless and more frantic the closer Beldaran got. The little fairy's attention was on reigning in his steed, and kept shushing him and waving for Beldaran to get down.

The commotion did not go unnoticed. A few larger fairies emerge from the healing house, and head towards the spot several of the smaller worker fairies were pointing: where a brazen angel with a wolf-baby stood talking to a known smuggler.

"Quick, quick!! Give me the letter!" the fairy squeaks. He's in a panic, glancing between the squirrel, oncoming fairies and Beldaran.

Bel may be light hearted and willing to go along with most things, but what she wasn't was a fool. Someone asked for her help, she wasn't going to hand over her clues to some fairy motioning at her. "I don't see reason to, I think I will hold onto this." she tells the small fairy and takes a tighter hold on the rolled parchment holding it against herself and taking a step backwards. The fact she had yet to even sort out what the run was all about was another reason that she chose not to give it up yet. It was about this point she also noticed the other fairies moving closer to them, it certainly didn't look like a happy get together so she moved backwards yet more.

The way the incredulous angel just stands there as if she wasn't about to get her butt kicked both confuses and impresses the little fairy.

"Your funeral lady. And tell your kid to stop spooking my animals. You already cost me my pack squirrel. I'll send the bill." And with that, the little fairy mounts his ride and heads off. A small basket falls from the squirrel as they make their getaway.

The fairies from the Fallassion House of Healing approach Beldaran to question her purpose for being there and talking to such a scoundrel. "We need you to hand over the letter. And after, we don't ever want to see you or your wolf's face in this part of the woods again."

((Again, two choices: dive for the little basket that was left behind (or run or hand it over), or comply with the healing house fairies.))

Skylie had already been squirming to get out of her mother's grip just watching the little fairy and her ride. When the fairy took off on the squirrel, and the other fairies advanced on her mother it was enough for her to distract her mom long enough to get loose. She chased after the departing squirrel with a loud happy squeal.

"Skylie!" Bel said trying to stop her daughter from getting out of sight, out here she didn't know if she'd lose the child or not. Skylie was hurrying past the little basket as Bel chased after her, momentarily the scroll in her hand was forgotten as she attempted to snag up the young pae. Bel ran after her daughter almost as a second thought she snatched up the little basket the fairy had dropped on her way past it. To her the fairies at the healing house seemed hostile, it could have been her imagination, but they way they had worded it she saw no reason to stay put. As her daughter had already been heading after the little fairy on the squirrel she kept going much to Sky's delight that her mom was chasing the squirrel as well. "Hey wait" she called without looking over her shoulder at the ones behind her.

The Healing House fairies stop when Beldaran runs away. Their assumption confirmed: she was involved with the scoundrel.

The fleeing fairy on squirrel-back runs for a safe distance, but eventually he scurries up a tree to perch on a limb. "Lady, you are gonna get me in trouble. Now give me the letter before we both lose our heads."

"And keep a better hold on that beastie. I can't afford to lose this squirrel too. You think I like hanging out in trees like this?"

Skylie reaches towards the fairy and squirrel in the branches as her mother comes to a stop near the tree the pair was in. She bounced slightly in her mom's arms, she wanted to get ahold of the little squirrel.

Bel panted slightly as she came to a stop she held the toddler firmly to prevent her from getting down again. "Sky you cant have that sweetie." she tells her daughter. She turns towards the fairy in the tree, "How am I going to get you in trouble, and why do you want the parchment?" she asks and then remembers the little basket "Oh and you dropped this" she holds the little basket up. She wanted some answers before she surrendered the parchment, she wanted to know why everyone seemed to want that page so badly.

The fairy hefts a very put-upon sigh and rolls his eyes. He is not going to let some angel interrogate him on things he's not at liberty to say. "You give it to me, or you go back to the Fallassion House of Healing. And leave my cargo on the ground. I'll get it once your kid is out of the area so my squirrel won't run away."

Not too far away, there's a rustling in the leaves, followed by some quiet, squeaky swearing. A moment later, a very tiny little paper airplane files from the foliage towards Beldaran and sticks in her hair.

The squirrel-rider fairy has moved higher up in the tree to wait out the angel's stay in the area.

If Beldaran notices the tiny paper, and opens it to read, it will have some tiny chicken scratch handwriting on it, complete with jam smudges.

The paper reads:
Quote:
stoopid
Nater bech

(Now we know why he previously used initials. This fairy can't spell.)

Beldaran has choices, again. She can do as the squirrel-rider says, or follow the little note if she can figure out what was meant by the atrocious spelling.

The comments really didn't answer Bel's questions and she frowned for it. Certainly she wasn't going to back to the healing house even Estra didn't like that place, although the angel never did explain to Bel why. As the fairy retreats further up the tree she decides to hold onto the page, however she did stoop to put the basket down by the base of the tree. "Well that was certainly unhelpful" she mumbles to herself with a bit of a sigh. She looks to her daughter who was now pouting at the lack of squirrel and her mother's firm grip on her and then back to the tree.

Skylie reached towards the leafy area the squirrel had disappeared into, she squirmed a bit in her mother's grasp but soon stopped when her attention was drawn to another moving object that soon landed in her mom's hair. She grabbed at it and in typical toddler like fashion it headed directly for her mouth

"Ouch, don't pull mommy's hair Sky" Bel felt her daughter's pull on a few strands of hair as the child took hold of it. She looked once more towards Sky and moved to get her hair from Sky''s grip only to notice it wasn't the only thing in the toddler's hand. "What you got there sky?" she asks as she extracted the tiny paper airplane from her hand. A brow lifted slightly seeing the form of the object "Where did this come from?" she asks quietly and with a little difficulty she unfolded it, she wasn't going to let Sky down near the squirrel again. 'stoopid... Nater bech' she read "Nater bech? Well... maybe, I guess another clue?" she mused to herself and her daughter, who with the rolled parchment between herself and her mom, was now playing with the end of the roll distracted from what her mom was doing. "Lets leave this fairy to it's business and see if it is a clue Sky" she turns to walk away from both the tree and the direction of the healing house. After a time and some debating of the message on the note she decided to ignore the first line as it didn't feel to her to be an actual place, and focused on the second line reading it out loud several times changing how she pronounced it each time and soon decided the closest thing it sounded like was nethaear, a beach she rarely visited but knew where was. "Lets go there Sky, it never hurts to try." She took to the air for the trip, by the time she arrived on the closest edge of the beach the edge of the roll was definitely seeing wear and tear of being played with. "Hello?" Bel called out to see if anyone was actually there and her guess was correct.

On the western side of Natheaer Beach near the surf, in the middle of the night stands a lonely little trade stand tent. The breeze rustles the flaps, allowing glimpses of the candlelight inside. Once more, the scent of candy wafts down the beach towards the angel (who has to be exhausted by now).

If Beldaran dares enter the tent, she will find a very familiar old wooden table but this time, with a tall candle in the center. In front of the candle lies a small blue box and and a small, red and black envelope.

There is a little white card leaning against the candle that says
Quote:
read me

On the other side of the card, it says:
Quote:
Leave the letter and take either the box or the envelope. Only take one.

Hiding behind a rock hidden in the dark on the beach is the annoying little fairy. This time, he's got a little bow with tiny little arrows with heart-shaped tips. Anyone who has ever been to a Venus Party would recognize the arrows right away.

"plink*

The tiny arrow is shot at Beldaran. A pause followed by about three more tiny arrows fired in rapid succession.
