The time has come ...
Emperor Jahleel and Empress Nadira's first brood is about to come-of-age. In preparation for this milestone, a temporary fighting pit has been fashioned in the middle of their new settlement. The sons of Jahleel must prove their worth if they wish to remain in the clan. This is the arena for all those who wish to leave to make their declaration and prove their intentions.
The girls will not be left out. If they wish to have a higher ranking in the clan, they too can challenge their brothers.
What is going on?
Before the young Naga of the Angwi clan shed their skin to become adults, they must prove themselves to the Emperor and Empress.
There is a dirt pit in the center of their Dragnid settlement in which they can challenge each other.
Each teenager must declare their intentions to stay or leave.
If they decide to stay, they can challenge their brothers to establish hierarchy. Or if they're prepared, they can challenge their father for the Emperor position.
The girls are guaranteed a spot in the clan and are encouraged to help the clan grow by bringing in new mates [Their mates enter the clan at the same position as their clan member, and can work up the ranks via RP challenges]

How to participate
Males:
Pick another male to challenge.
Decide which one will win. If you can't decide, roll a d10.
RP the skirmish however you want
Winner has the higher position in the Clan hierarchy.
Any male can continue to challenge any other male. But can't challenge the same one twice.
Be fair, your naga isn't invincible
If you decide to leave the clan, make a small post declaring to Jahleel and Nadira why. Females:
You automatically have your own position in the clan and are equal with all others.
You may challenge a higher ranking male in order to increase rank
If you decide to leave the clan, make a small post declaring to Jahleel and Nadira why
Inactive Naga, and those that don't participate will be kept in the clan, however they will be on the bottom of the hierarchy. This means they get less food, and passed over for any important decisions. They are considered the weakest in the clan and are encouraged to not breed or bring in mates.

Now. This will be open for the next two weeks. This Notice will be closed on November 29, 2015 at 11:59
Why?
To grow to adults.
RP is required to grow to adult stage and this is a prime opportunity to do that and ensure growth at the end of November following this Notice.
We need to know each Naga's intentions for future plots.

 She didn't know what the pit was for during the time it was crafted, but it all made sense during the reveal. The tension that had been mounting all this time came to it's head. Her brothers were older, more aggressive, ready to leave the nest. Of course this was coming.
Her light pink eyes flicked around to her siblings, partly amused. If she wished, she could simply stay out, already higher ranked than her brothers. Or she could wait until challenging the highest ranking male. But no. She wanted to drive a point to her parents, and to all her siblings. So the teal female made her way to the pit before her kin, eager to be first in line. "Ssssiblings! Mother! Father! I wissssh to ssstay here." She called out as loud as her voice would carry. Letting all know that she was there and to come around. "But further, I'd like to challenge..." Who to challenge? Ysaln could prove difficult, best wait until he was tired out from another. Same with Timbikai. She liked Negendra...Either Zulfiqar or Takshaka... "Takssshaka! Come and fight me!" She hissed loud and proud despite her speech impediment.
Being the first to raise a challenge, and a female...No doubt her parents would take note.
Perhaps even be a little proud.

 Fidi had watched the pit be dug with interest, she knew the time soon was coming where her brothers in their immature adolescent age would have to either man up or leave. It was bad enough her backstabbing brother Nahusha and sister Sedna had deserted the clan when they needed them most. She slithered in settling in to watch, though ready to fight at a given moment. She knew her rank in the clan was higher then her brothers, and she watched as her sister called out her brother Tak. She lifted up a bit more, she never really grew close to her whimpy brothers and she was excited moreso now. "Mother... Father... I am no traitor to our family, I am sssstaying" she said with confidence and intent. She looked abouts at her siblings, looking down her nose towards her bothers, they were not above her and her sisters and she knew it but she too like her sister was going to challenge them. Make them prove their worth in their clan. Her eyes flitting from one brother to the next "Zulfiqar... Fight me..... NOW!"

 There was a place where dreams came true, the pit. More edgy than normal, Takshaka had waited with barely contained aggression for it to be completed. Every fight was already won in his head. He saw himself sitting on a pile of his worthless brothers and father. He'd be king of the clan and prove himself the best of the children. Only he would remain with his mother allow to stay to be proud of him. The sisters would of course be chased away as well.
Distracted by his own glory he hadn't realized it was time to start the fights he'd already won until he heard his name. Originally the voice didn't sound female so he responded like any other male had challenged him. Shooting out into the ring all spitfire and malicious intent, he posed aggressively. He bared his fangs and gave a growling hiss as he looked for his challenger. Several times his eyes skipped over Priya.
When it was clear it was a sister that challenged him, the naga deflated. He sunk down and curled up against himself activating the iron scales but with no aggressive posturing. Instead he glared death to his sister, a hidden pout heavy on his face. "I can't fight a sister, even one that looks like a boy." This was unfair, unable to actually fight his first match because it was a girl. He had to make momma proud, she said not to fight sisters!

 Anali snorted as she coiled her tail tighter around the tree she had been latched too. A tongue darted across her coated fangs, itching for a chance to use her knock out venom again. Maybe on a stupid brother this time. Oh that'd be fun. How she'd love to take that wimp Takshaka down. But he was already being challenged by Priya. Oh well, this should prove amusing at the very least.
Uncoiling herself from the tree she dropped down gracefully, holding her head high. It was a given she'd remain in the clan to help bolster the numbers. "I'll be staying." she stated proudly, eyes scanning the crowed. Many were already challenging others to fights or looked like they were picking out their targets. Anali however, picked a different target and not for a fight. "Seeeeen'kaaaa." she chimed musically, slithering over towards the black and purple sister with a wicked smirk. "How quickly do you bet they'll go down." she grinned, flicking her long black braid back over her shoulder as she came to a stop next to the other female. She of course was talking about her brother's.
Anali didn't really have any 'favorites' so to speak, besides perhaps her mother whom she idolized. It was more of the fact that the dark shimmering teal Naga simply tolerated some more than others.
And some not at all.

Perhaps she had started something, her sisters quickly falling in line after her to prove their worth, before any males had taken ranking above them. It was to be expected however, females were the dominant here, and she expected many of the pathetic males to be put in their place today.
But she challenged first. So she had first round.
Her pale pink eyes narrowed as her 'prey' shot into the ring, looking ready to fight. It made her bristle with excitement, remembering the blood she tasted on the battlefield. Though that was a demi gods blood, and he was just a brother.
But the instant it dawned on him that she was the challenger, his tall stance shrunk into a cowering ball. "A BOY?!" Priya almost spat as her lips curled back to show her fangs. "I AM your challenger. You will FIGHT me, or you will lossssse!" If he wasn't going to attack, she would. She gave him a few seconds to have it register, so she wouldn't be attacking unfairly. But she gave no more warning as she suddenly flashed forward towards him, aiming to wrap around him in a constriction.

Glaring at her in his little iron scaled ball he sulked and spat back, "You aren't a challenger you are a sister and a cheat." It wasn't fair that she challenged him, he wasn't allowed to attack his sisters. Momma's word was law and gospel and there was no way his sister was going to make him violate that.
The same scales that were going to protect him from the cheating trickster were the same that would prevent him from getting away fast enough. There was nothing for it, one of them was going to have to give in. Clearly it would have to be him to follow the law. That just meant one of his brothers was going to get an extra beating for this!

His heavy scales proved to be too cumbersome, and she reached him with relative ease. Slinking her long body around his and tightening. "Fight back you wusssss! Sssstop being a worm and fight me!" She didn't like being called a cheat. She was allowed to challenge a male, and it couldn't be held against her that he was being an infant and holding back because she was a girl. She was every bit as tough and a hard fighter as any of the males.

Violet eyes flicked over the field as it was being dug. Curious as to what his parents were doing he watched them intently. It seemed the time had come to pick a side, stay and prove his worth or leave. At first he had been unsure if he had been going to leave or not. Priya and he had made plans when they were younger, before everything had happened at the temple. If his sister left he still intended to follow her. His head bobbed as he heard Priya stating that she would stay. He too would stay to keep the family safe and strong, protect his sisters.
"I am staying." He announced to the clan as his eyes once again swept the area around the pit as he spoke, trying to decide whom to challenge. Takasha and Zulfiqar appeared to be taken at the moment by their sisters. Spotting Tembiki he grinned. "Tembiki I challenge you!" His muscles coiling and tensing as he slid out onto the pit. Preparing himself for battle he waited as his bother joined him.

 Tembikai scowled as one of his brothers called him out to fight. He had just been in the process of deciding whether to stay or go when Nagendra spoke his name. "I'll ssstay, if only to defeat you, brother." The orange eyed naga smirked and slid into the pit and toward his brother. This should be easy. The tip of his tail flicked back and forth as he assessed his opponent. With a quick glane around the pit, he noticed that none of his other siblings had actually started a fight yet. Two of their sisters had challenged brothers, but no blood had been shed. Priya may have been the first to challenge, but Tembikai would be the first to strike!
Giving his brother no more time to stall, Tembikai tensed his coils beneath himself and used them to launch himself at Nagendra, fangs bared as he aimed a punch to his brother's jaw.

Nagendra was pleased to see that Tembikai would not leave him waiting for long. So his brother was staying to beat him hmm? Well he would not make it easy for his brother. "Haha Let's see if you can back up those words shall we?" He hissed back at his bother. His words where met with a strong punch to the jaw. He hissed angrily as the punch hit his jaw and pushed him back a bit.
His mouth twisted into a grin despite his aching jaw, this was going to be a fun fight. Deciding to return the hit, he aimed a punch at his brother's cheek.

 Sen'ka had finished her duties long before the others had arrived to the pit. Without the others around she gave her parents a slight bow of the head and spoke softly, “I will continue to support, protect, and help this clan grow in strength by remaining.” She lifted her head back up, chin high, as she slinked away from them. She made her way to a dark part of the area, hiding herself within it as the others began to appear. As always she would stay back and watch her siblings. She'd done it since they were all small, watching and analyzing. This is when it would come in handy or not.
One could analyze, but just because you know something intellectually doesn't mean you'd get it right in battle. She'd have to wait and see if any of the brothers attempted to climb the ranks. Then, she'd be there to put him back in his place. She wasn't interested in fighting any of her sisters, that would accomplish nothing but make them weary. No, she'd stay back and watch.
Once the others began to declare their intentions she slowly slid her way out of the shadows and to a position to better see the pit. Her eyes flashed at the familiar call of her name. She looked over to see Anali making her way over to her. The wicked smirk on her face reflected the feelings Sen'ka was having on the inside, but refused to let surface. She turned away to glance back at the pit where a pair of brothers were beginning their battle. “I cannot say. I've watched them plenty, but they might just surprise us.”
“If they do, I expect us to take care of that issue.” she looked back at the other female seriously. “The hierarchy is built in such a way for a purpose. We cannot allow it to be disturbed because a brother gets lucky.” She shook her head slightly watching some of her sisters attempting to carouse some brothers into fighting them. Sen'ka did not understand their strategy, but she hoped it was to tire them out so they would not climb the ranks. Still, if her sisters were to lose... A slight scowl reached her lips.

 Zulfiqar had barely returned from his second meeting with Twilight when their coming of age, fight for hierarchy was announced. He'd understood it was happening soon, but so soon? Not particularly. The naga had hoped to made his intentions to leave clearly understood before any such thing, to leave before he was made to suffer an unneeded challenge. He'd have no such luck it seems.
He had scarcely made his presence known, his declarations of leaving nearly gone from his lips, when he was directly challenged by his sister. He thought any of them threatening their higher position in the hierarchy was foolish, though perhaps they were too stupid to realize it was a gamble not worth their scales.
They had everything to lose, nothing to gain.
Hissing at Fidi, he glared at her before turning his glaze to his parents, to the clan leaders. Raising himself tall and proudly, he spoke loudly for all to hear.
"I've been asked to join another clan, and I've accepted. I am leaving now." Looking to his sister, he almost rolled his eyes before silently dismissing her challenge. Their affairs were no longer his concern, her words no longer of any strength. Call him a coward if you wished, but this was a matter that now excluded him.
At that, he took his leave from the Angwi and headed towards the Dragnid's edge to rendezvous with Twilight.Shicala Sorry, he's peacing out. Feel free to verbally abuse him all you want though. ^^;

His iron scales protected him from her, and it was about all that was restraining him. Hiss angrily he lashed out verbally, "Cheater! Cheating cheating cheater sister! Not allow to fight you." Shaking with absolution rage, he had to clench his jaw just not to bite her. Being so close to his target it was too easy.
With all his restraint gone he had to take a deep breath. "You gain nothing cheat. Hope my scales hurt and you fall." In rapid succession, he deactivated his power and got out of her grip. Darting out of the ring he went looking for the closest brother to beat the stuffing out of. Zulfiqar made a great target at the moment for leaving the clan. The sisters were terrible and he had no wish for his brothers to stay around. That being said, it felt like he should be attacking him all the same.
Priya wins by default, Takshaka believes he can't attack girls so he just bailed out.
