Now people don't have to exhaust so much time and/or gold into levelling up their kins for getting a recolor. According to the staff alert, Glowing Splicing shards are also in the cash shop for a limited time.
So, what do you think of the requirements being lowered? Do you use the splicing feature or would like to use the splicing feature? O: Any suggestions for the future or anything you'd like to see?

Heh. You beat me to it.
I'm excited about it. I don't know that I'll use it frequently, but it's nice to know that I have the option. It means I don't have to get the second half of my leafkit breeding pair up to level 25, which conveniently means I can focus more on my pumppet. And, you know, that pesky quest for Sakura. Either way: yay!
My only concern is if this will be a permanent change or if they'll ramp it back up to some absurd level after a few weeks. I really hope that they don't. It was bad enough when they raised it the first time. And I will admit to some suspicions that staff are preparing for a Diedrich-centered Easter event in which we'll be rewarded for splicing more and more Diedrichs until finally there are enough Diedrich clones to successfully conquer the universe. Not that I'm paranoid or anything. Oh no. ninja

I agree, I like to have the option. I never used it when the level was at 25, but I did use it and tried to level up my kins when it was level 10. I might get back to that eventually, at least for the original 4 kins. I got 3 ghostly splicing shards left so I might as well get them. I'm pretty interested in the golden shards too, so I might start working on that eventually. I would appreciate more shards, preferably ones obtainable in game or affordable or somethin'.
It looks like the level 10 is permanent, at least for now it is. In the Halloween event, they had level 25 crossed out and advertised level 10 as event exclusive, but now I think they're doing it for real since not enough people were using the feature. It is a little dead at this point since there are only so many kins you can currently recolor.

ugh. i didn't realize the golden splice shards are 499 gc for just ONE with an ally plus included. That's just 2 items, how the heck is that a bundle? I'm prob gonna wait until they sell shards individually before I try to get a pumpkin cria or stagony

I think ghostly splicing shards are still relatively affordable, if I remember correctly, because there's an alchemy recipe for it. So certainly leveling up all of the original kin isn't too big a deal if that's the case. You could probably make a decent profit with the leveling services if you chose to do so and could afford to either buy or craft the shards. (I'm weak. I'd just give my spliced kin away.)
I'd love to see more shards, too, especially ones that would let us combine different kin. It'd be a lot of work for the artists and I understand that, but it just seems like it would be more fun than combining two of the same to get a different color. Plus, they could always involve the users to help create some of the mutant kin. It could be an ongoing contest, like Stein's shop.

AHHH YOU HONESTLY GAVE ME A GREAT IDEA. A kin splicing service in the guild! I'd have to... grind... a lot of my kins though. u_u but if people provide the shard and crafting cost, it'd be perf. I'd love to do that for people. (idk if I want a profit out of it. It'd be really nice, but xD i understand not many people are wealthy)
I'd love more shards too, and I was disappointed when you couldn't splice different kin from the beginning. Some kin combinations would be AMAZING and I really hope they become an addition soon enough. Like the ship it CIs but better. User contests would be amazing, too!! AHH

I want to splice hybrid kins emotion_drool but yes, I'm also really glad that they lowered the level requirement. This should allow for way more splicing to happen, and more splicing shards to be sold lol I kinda hope that future shards will be like the glowing shard, which is 100% successful. Or maybe 50% chance to get a certain version of a spliced kin, and the other 50% chance to get another version of the spliced kin... idk, there are just so many possibilities! emotion_kirakira
