So. I recently decided that if I could more or less successfully create a matching avatar for Forest Brier, then I could also more or less make one for Court of the Elf Queen. Apparently I was kidding myself. It won't stop me from trying because I do love that item and it's been wasting away in my inventory for years... but it'll be a real challenge. That peachy, coral-y, melon-y, golden type shade is almost nonexistent. I've found maybe two or three items that truly match it. And that sparkly pink? It's not fuchsia, not magenta, not coral, not hot or neon or bright pink. Once again, I've only found one or two absolute matches... and they just happen to be items that don't work with what I have in mind for the final avatar. Nonetheless, my elf queen will rise one day. Possibly.
Hence: the questioning. What do you do when you get stuck on building your newest avatar? Do you ever get stuck building your avatars? Are you the type of person who makes himself or herself a new avatar every day or just once in a rare while? That would probably have an effect, I imagine. Cosplays? Original avatars? Matching? Non-matching? Gaia's color schemes or your own unique palettes? Gender-specific, androgynous, etc.? Event avatars: are they your thing? Is this enough questions or should I throw a few more at you?
Ahem. Yes. The trials and tribulations of avatar building.

I like to save outfits even if they're half done to come back to later. Avatar builder avatars, though, I just give up on LOL. I mostly change once in a while, usually to fit whatever theme I feel like, except to enter the runway. I'll change every day for the runway. And!!! Excitingly, I placed twice in the runway this week, and I'd never even placed before now.
Yeah, the avatar builder has its benefits... but not when it comes to saving in-progress avatars. The dressing room is better for that. (Unless, like me, all of your slots are full and you're relying on a word document to hold all of your outfits.)
Still, congrats on placing second! That's really big. What categories did you win in?

Haha, I save avatar builder codes in a word document too! But not for in progress ones. Usually they're contest or ghosting entries that turned out well. Thanks! But I didn't place second, I got fifth lol sweatdrop It was for the Bug's life one and the Puppets one
