I am not a zOMG person, myself, but I saw a post in Lionheart's suggestion thread (general link) indicating an interest in having the LK team find some way to combine the two games. Granted, there was another post that said everyone is playing zOMG now and that LK should be retired but that person is clearly misinformed. LK might be a little stagnant right now, but the game still has its benefits and the community is still there. We exist! Existentially.
So. What elements of zOMG do you think might work well if they were added to LK? What wouldn't work? Do you want any portion of them combined at all or would you rather they be entirely separate entities? Land sharks and gnomes: yay or nay?

I honestly have no idea how they would do this, but I would definitely like to see the Moga monster game incorporated for sure.

The games have two entirely different aspects of design even down to the core values of gameplay. Combining the two would be a very foolish prospect of starting over from scratching and making a game which is a combination of the two. With LK not being really engaging, it would end up being that zOMG would be a turn-based with a lot of adaptations to environments from the world of LK. It would be a stupid and messy idea at best, honestly.

I never played the game but I do have a few of the items and they're all adorable. I think I'd like to see Jag the most. Or maybe Flam... but that could be the dragon obsession talking.

For the sake of playing devil's advocate (because, truth be told, I rather agree with you): what if they updated the design of some of the zOMG monsters to create new kin like they did with Gwee and Watermeat? It wouldn't be the same, no, and there'd certainly be those who object to messing with the history of the game but it could be interesting nonetheless.
Although I have no "for the sake of it" questions for gameplay. redface I want to, but I don't. I honestly have no idea how they would combine those beyond the oft-requested player vs. player option. And me, I'd rather that be a separate thing entirely. I'm not much of a social gamer.

I mean, my principal hope is that Gaia isn't lazy/not-lazy enough to have to answer this question. It seems like something that could be decent in concept, but I'm not even sure all of the kind would fit in a setting like zOMG. Seems like something that's a lot more speculation than anything to me. Let's just hope it doesn't come to anything like that. sweatdrop

lol. That would be super awesome. Also, if they added a story to the game, it would be so much better. They put so much effort into Zomg, but hardly any into the story of LK

I feel like a cool thing they could do would be to introduce an area from each game into the other one instead of trying to merge the two. Like we already got the zen gardens in lk, what if they made a kindred wilds map in zomg filled with kin to fight .o. Then the sycamorte could be a badass boss for people to fight x3

They kinda already did that with Zen Temple, so doing something like that again would be neat! I feel like zOMG is kinda old to be updated with new monsters, even Lanzer said that would need too many people working on it. They could make an event welcoming zOMG back (would be pretty late but still) and introduce a new area, inspired by monsters and places from it, of course the kin versions would be different, would be nice to see some animated re-imagined emotion_kirakira Also, they should really consider LK's plot, since Nyx has been defeated, the camp should be ending and the kids and Kanoko should head home, so a change to the scenery and maybe adding a new/old NPC to guide you or take care of LK related things should be happenning at some point whee

There is! Gweenee. It's a lot more modern and less plushie-like than the original, but it's still pretty cute. Very expensive, too.

If you mean folding both games together?
Hell no.
The way the games are played couldn't be any more different if you tried. To do this would be incredibly stupid and it would change what Lake Kindred is and not for the better. What I think people want is to have the kindred show up in ZOMG but again, why bother? There is zero incentive to do this and adds nothing to the overall impact of either game. It sound like they just want to add to the teams workload for unbelievably superfluous reasons and it's pretty annoying.
ZOMG is incredibly boring to me, it was boring back when I played through it and it is no better now. Lake Kindred is also boring but still has so much potential that the team seem disinterested in tapping. They should be working on making Lake Kindred more in depth and more its own thing instead of entertaining this kind of idea. The site already has very little going for it game wise and the older games are just that-old and outdated. At least with monster galaxy there was a reason why you were doing what you were doing.
Having send ups like the zen garden area's or making certain zomg monsters into kindred works just fine, but not smashing the two together to make one game.
